Here's a tip for the Warhead room; there are two instakill poles that you can launch at the Exploders. You can stasis them and safely pin them. Just aim for their body and not the sack.
You don't even need to stasis them you can javelin the first in the back as it spawns in and the other is chilling behind 2 barriers making it a easy target for a second javelin.
Just as a quick PSA, you may want to edit your comment as people will see yours first, if you care enough I suppose. I did this the other day and I 'died' once at this point (You can save and quit as a there's a long window for the death to happen) but how I died was with the Mercer/Hunter side quest, which ends with a stasis upgrade that deals damage, it also explodes the sack so just use the pipes or shoot the arms.
The loud room was in the original. They challenged themselves to make a room that was terrifying without having any enemies in it, it’s based off the sound of a subway
4:23 , you are allowed to pick up all guns during one gun challenge so long as you don't equip and fire them you will get the achievement. Did my first run doing so and got it, just make sure to store them in shop so their ammo doesn't drop vs plasma
As long as you don’t fire them, you’ll get the trophy. My first run was a plasma only run, picked up all the others for the achievement, and started to upgrade on my way to plat. If you carry around the force gun, it’s ammo sells for 6k a stack 🙂
@@scramblingblambles8715 There are several spots that will always drop the same ammo such as next to a new weapon or reward lockers like Zero G Basketball or the Shooting Gallery segment in the Valor.
I did this also to get the one gun on my normal playthrough, however if I suggest one thing, keep the force gun on you, don’t equip it just keep it, why? Because each stack of ammo that drops for it, you can sell for 1200 which is how much a stack of plasma cutter ammo costs, so less chance of getting crappy 100 credits with more loot in the pool. Hope this helps, I ended up with almost 200 grand after my playthrough and I had my level 5 suit already.
Some tips that helped me with Impossible Mode: 1. Abuse kinesis as much as possible. The poles/pipes you pick up can insta-kill pretty much any normal enemy. The fans that fall out of broken vents are also excellent at dismembering enemies. So, always be on the lookout for objects you can hurl with kinesis and save ammo. 2. Horde as many supplies as possible. Never leave items behind if you can. If your inventory is full just deposit whatever extra supplies you have into the store and pick up everything you can. 3. Stasis is going to be your best friend, so always make sure to have at least a couple stasis packs in your inventory (I recommend at least 2-3.) 4. Don't bother with a full inventory of weapons, stick to just 2-3, that way you'll find more ammo for the weapons you actually use. I stuck with the Plasma Cutter, Contact Beam, and Force Gun, seemed like a great combo to me personally, but it's really just preference. 5. You may only have one save slot, but save literally whenever possible, that way if your game crashes you won't lose possibly hours of progress. Also, if you feel like you're about to die or find yourself in an unwinnable situation, don't be afraid to quit to the main menu and reload your save. 6. I'd say don't bother with the side missions, especially the one regarding Nicole. But, the Master Override and Mercer side quests could be beneficial to complete. Especially the Mercer side quest because it gives you a stasis upgrade that causes it to damage enemies. So, keep your backtracking to a minimum if possible, and don't put yourself in unnecessary danger and waste resources. 7. Lastly, save Impossible for your third playthrough. Do an initial playthrough on Normal, then complete the game on NG+ (maybe even play on Hard so that you can get used to the difficulty you can expect in Impossible.) And during these first two playthroughs memorize as much of the game as you can. Enemy encounters, loot locations, store locations, etc. Make note of everything that can help you survive. Edit: Especially pay attention to places where Infectors will spawn. That way, you can pre-emptively dismember any corpses in the area, leaving the Infector with no bodies to transform and forcing it to attack you instead, That's about it. Honestly, Impossible Mode isn't that bad. Just take your time, don't take any unnecessary risks, and you'll be fine. Good luck to anyone trying to complete Impossible Mode! Get out there and unlock that foam finger!
The original wasn’t bad on impossible and I’m already on chapter 7 but I know there are some tough fights ahead I did play the original enough that I remember most spawns and funny enough I always find the poles after a fight and am like really these would’ve been useful earlier but thanks for the tips except I’m just using the plasma cutter which has worked really well I’ve also only been upgrading the rig as well as the plasma cutter
at 16:08 when he says "you're done you sonnava bitch", if you complete the sidequest pertaining to the hunter's backstory, isac says something more the sincere like "rest, he can't hurt you anymore" which was an awesome discovery to make this video lmao
6:22 ah yes, the LOUD room. I can confirm that this loud noisy room is indeed in the original Dead Space, and just like here, it's loud and scary for- some reason HAHA. Just type in "Loud room dead space" and you'll run across some let's plays that go through it.
I think I remember the developers saying how they listened to a train system - the BART if I recall correctly- and said it sounded loud and horrible. So they knew they had to put it in the game, lol, and that’s the sound they put in that room
Good news about the One Gun achievement! You could've just picked up the guns, Isaac would immediately put the gun away after he was done admiring it, and pull out the Plasma Cutter again. It doesn't void the Achievement to pick up the guns.
The area directly around the marker is known as the "dead space", in extended lore necromorphs and the corruption cannot enter it. In-game, likely for balance, its just acts as a debuff to the necros.
The Flamethrower is a complete monster. Whenever I’m using it walking the corridors I swear the Necro morphs seem to turn tail and run for their lives.
I really enjoyed it paired with the force gun gravity well. When there's a lot of enemies throw down the force gun secondary to bunch them all up and then roast em with the flamer
A holdover from DS2, where yhe flamethrower was also kinda silly ueeful. Not only would it auto-loot corpses, it would also efficiently stunlock enemies no matter the size or difficulty. I've tested a stock flamethrower on an enhanced slasher in zealot difficulty, and it took me 20 ammo units and two bitch slaps to kill it.
It’s also a good thing Dead Space 3 didn’t have cheap space shuttle landing scene that you would somehow manage to die on for the first time in all your play throughs, only on hardcore of course.
I remember feeling like a true Silly Billy when DS2 came out because you could beat Hardcore and then play Zealot with the foam finger as an ez clap victory lap to get the achievement.
Definitely should’ve done the hunter/Mercer side quest. It gives you the prototype stasis module which tears the flesh off of necromorphs. It’s a game changer for new game+ hard runs.
It's always a calculated risk whether you want to go trough sidequests, since you never know what intensity director can throw at you. Well, you do know what it DOESN'T: Brutes are obviously out of the equation, because they need so much room to maneuver that closing you with broom closet with them would just be inviting glitches. Also, infectors don't seem to be part of the random spawns. I've played the game now 5 times trough and never I have seen whole divider appearing outside of their fixed spawn points(divider heads, yes, but not the entire creature). And obviously, no wall guardians. Twitchers don't appear part of random spawning until you've completed chapter 9, but even then they're very rare. Other than that, it's everything goes: normal and armored slashers and their enhanced-forms are very much on the table. And in NG+, phantom-forms.
I got this a few days ago as well. I never trophy hunt unless I love a game. Especially when it requires multiple playthroughs. But I had a blast getting it for this one. And the rewards for beating it on Impossible remain great. Love the suit and the ‘gun’ is still hilarious. Especially thinking of Gunnar having to rerecord all the ‘pew pew’ sounds again.

Deadspace Remake = A Laser Beam to help aim your shots Deadspace 2 = No laser beam But works EXACTLY like the Remake but Shoots as fast as you can pull the trigger. It was in no way like a force gun Deadspace 3 = Had an ammo counter so you were using your plasma cutter rounds as ammo and had a reload feature in the form of Issac doing a rock and roll emote Conclusion, all 3 Deadspace foam finger cannons WORKED EXACTLY THE Sme
Did it yesterday. It's not really hard imo. The hardest part are the first 2hours until you get some upgrades on your Plasmacutter and rig. And some cheap deaths could be a pain, like the torpedo room. But overall just take it slow, prepare for specific enemy waves and use telekinesis a lot. Then it's manageable.
If you have knowledge about the gameplay, it’s a cake walk. With a few spikes in difficulty either due to the threat of instadeath areas, or enemy density, or even just being unlucky with the game bugging out.
When you’re near the marker and the necromorphs get near it, it ends up slowing them down very good for training em around for that nice quick second of breathing room
Just wanted to let ya know, I did the one gun achievement and picking up weapons did not stop the achievement. The wording is specifically that you USE only the Plasma Cutter. And picking up the gun doesn't equip them.
Uncertain if this is true in Impossible, but at least in Normal and Hard the Marker actually slows down the enemies a bit (not full stasis level, probably about a quarter of that) and the red glow does make them a bit easier to spot. I think this is in reference to one of the animations where the Security Lead sits by the Marker and all of the Necromorphs don't come near her. Even in game they mention it acts like an 'eye of the storm'.
I almost skipped the melee upgrade on my hard playthrough but got it out of curiosity and holy crap, you're right. One swing knocks the Hunter flat on its ass.
15:45 - fun fact, you can lure the Hunter in the room with multiple screens (I think you see Nicole on those) and trap him there, he won't get out until a later scripted appearance
I like how you have an advantage on the Xbox 360 version of Dead Space 2 when playing hardcore. Assuming you never saved, if you die on disc 2, you only restart at the beginning of disc 2. It's essentially a hidden checkpoint and no need to swap back to disc 1
"i dont remember this loud room in the original why would they do this" no it's definitely there in the original and it is even louder than in the remake.
For the Valor section with the torpedo, there are 3 spears/pipes laying around that instant-kill necro. You can use those to deal with the Exploder easily (just don't aim at the sack). Another option to use is if you have the Prototype Stasis, as that works similar to the Cutter burn upgrade and will not trigger the sack exploding.
The red glow on necromorphs around the marker is the dead space field. In lore it stops necromorphs, in game it slows them. An eye of the storm sort of situation.
Interesting, I noticed that when Issac stands next to the Marker his vision gets all blurred, but I wasn't aware of it slowing down the Necros. Might be worth the tradeoff on Impossible run.
Awesome currently running Impossible mode with plasma cutter only run. It's been an absolute blast but admittedly not as hard as I thought. I poured all my credits & nodes into upgrading the suit, the plasma cutter, ammo & stasis. Ran mercers quest to get the improved stasis prototype and currently on Ch 9 now. Nice video btw thanks
One gun is only invalidated if you fire any other gun besides the Plasma cutter. It is safe to pick up and store later. And make sure you store those guns as random loot drops will drop ammo any weapon in your inventory. If you find ammo for another gun that's not in your inventory it was a set spawn location.
I got this achievement Yesterday. Not as hard as people claim it to be. Its basically Hardmode with the game over screen upon death. But if you're about to die, just go back main menu, and continue. Also save a lot. Also don't be scared to spend money on ammo or health if you're low. Also focus on 1 gun only. I did Plasma cutter. Once its fully maxed out you can basically rip through enemies. I ended up with like 30+ nodes and around 200K on cash when i hit the final boss. Also tip for the beginning. Use Statis and stomp enemies to conserve ammo since your weapon in the beginning doesn't deal a lot of damage. But in later chapters you can use the plasma cutter.
Just started my Impossible run yesterday. Thanks for clearing up a few things. Mainly, the fact that the saves are just so that you can return to the game if you don't have enough time to finish it in a single playthrough. I can't wait to get that hand cannon.
In the lore, the Marker is dumping out electromagnetic waves that drive people insane and reprogram the DNA in dead tissue to make the necromorphs. Interestingly, the signal seems to cancel in close proximity, forming what’s referred to as a Dead Space. Any infected tissue will be rendered dormant, but the most balanced thing that the games can pull off is slowing the necromorphs down significantly. I don’t know if it’ll kill them after long enough since they move out of range after too long.
Surprisingly I finished impossible mode first try! The Best way of going about it is to use stasis as much as possible and use kenisis whenever you can, you can rip spiky limbs off enemies and throw them back at them and there’s a ton of poles and rods that will kill an enemy in one shot.
I've beaten it along with the plasma cutter only as well. Impossible is manageable since you can pause during a death and return to main menu or quit game and you can reload to previous save.
Little tip for nerfing Infector bat thingies. Obviously stomping corpses but you can save time by using kinesis to slam the body into the floor or wall first. only 1 stomp required to simultaniously sever all limbs after that.
Also helps that you can literally just dashboard and close the game when you are about to die and then load the last save point. Haven't checked when exactly it checks for the death, but from what I hear, as long as you close the game before the "Go to Menu or Change to Hard" message pops up, you're fine.
@@NickHunter It’s really the same thing. It’s a time saver. I’ve already proven I can beat everything before a certain point, it’s just that rather than resetting the entire thing, I just go back to a previous point. If you can survive each battle individually, it’s the same thing as doing all of them back to back. I don’t think whatever variance in supplies you would have in that case is that much of a factor. Especially if you’re just doing it based on damage, as opposed to reloading every time you feel like you used too much ammo or if you accidentally waste health packs or sell supplies.
It was dumb bc only like 2 doors in any of the games ever carried more than 10k worth of stuff. Sometimes a good schematic would be there but it’s better to find those things in the wild imo.
Maybe that's why the game feels easier. You get these arbitrary clearance upgrades without investing nodes that simply amount to additional loot and only serve to make the storage rooms blatantly obvious.
you can pick up any weapon and still get the plasmacutter achievement. also you have to manually bind a new weapon you found so using them by mistake is not possible. lastly if you pick up any weapons it is best to store them immediatly because ammo drops are split across the weapons you carry with you. since you only want plasma cutter ammo you want to store any other weapon. but in case you want to play ng+ on that save you propably want to get and store the weapons even though the reward for doing impossible is an overpowered weapon that has infinite ammo.
For 4:25 , picking up guns does not void the achievement. The gun is in your inventory, but if you equip and use it, it's voided. From there, you can store the gun in the safe and even upgrade it while it's in the safe at a bench.
Just to note, you can pick up guns and still get the one gun achievement. You just can’t use them so throw them in your storage inventory first chance you get to avoid ammo drops for guns you’re not using.
I dont know if this is a bug or a feature but when i played the remake in the medical room where you have to fight the hunter and move the battery into the door to escape all i had to do was go down the elevator and go back up and the hunter just goes and doesnt come back for that room edit - timestamp for the room is 8:52 if anyone didnt understand what i said before
i wish motive gave us a horde mode as a reward if you beat the game on impossible, that would certainly give a lot of people motivation to take on the challenge to unlock the mode also they should design vr version of deadspace
That's what I was saying months and months before the release. Was hoping they'd put a replayable mode like horde wave based game.. kinda ashame maybe they'll put one into the next game
Would be a pointless mode since after you beat impossible you get all the worthwhile rewards. What I want is a prequel DLC where you take control as Alissa Vincent During the outbreak.
Played my first playthrough of the remake on impossible.. I found it erm.. easy a couple of stressy moments but good gaming skills and resource management made this not a big issue , totally worth it for the hand cannon
Impossible difficulty doesn't unlock until you beat the game atleast once on any difficulty. I'm curious how you was able to play that on your first playthrough. 🤔
In case you didn't see it on your first playthrough, you can find an Audio Log from Nicole in one of the side rooms that is the message she plays at the start of Dead Space 2. I'm not sure if that's an easter egg to confirm they're working on it, but leaving that recording in the game felt like a nod that they were genuinely interested.
FYI, One Gun achievement, you just only need to kill necromorphs with only the plasma cutter no other guns. I kept the new gun on me to upgrade the weapons later on. You can also use the environment to kills the necromorphs or RED canisters..
i decided to do imossible with the one gun too and honestly compared to my first run it was actually way easier, im gonna guess its because the game only gives you the one type of ammo so you have a ton of it
I wish they brought the impossible difficulty setting for 2008 DS one back and then made you do the one life run on that difficulty, I did my first play through on hard, and I had like maybe one death to necromorphs, and like 2 to environmental hazards
Just completed it tonight. Dead Space 2, and 3 were definitely harder. The plasma cutter becomes your best friend after you max that weapon out. And stasis as well. Save as often as you can. First couple hours do get rough. Trying to focus on saving ammo. Placing your shots. I did notice at times the enemies turn into insane bullet sponges. Even when maxed put. When that happens. Just reload your save. The game has the A.I director that changes areas up. Keeping you guessing. There were times I turn around to check on something. Only for the game to spawn a monster right behind me. Make sure you take breaks to give yourself some air. Trying to grind tjis out in one sitting isnt a good idea. Its possible but youre in for a rough time if you do. Next is bugs, and glitches. Normal doors and hurt you, and even kill you. Causing a ridiculous problem. I had to load up a previous save since Im assuming Issac was pushing to hard on the door? It took half his health away. Next was the first Hunter encounter. This actually worked in my favor. As soon as he jumped out of the tube. He disappeared. At first I thought he was invisible. But he wasnt. The area for me was pretty easy to get through. He didnt show up until I got ro rhe medical surgery area. And only 2 monsters came in with him. They were very slow like they were confused. Mining area got weird at times. The enemies would become massive bullet sponges. Had to reload my saves a few times to avoid that. Towards the rnd of the game started flying through. I finished with a level 5 suit. Had around 50,000 credits. I also noticed that it can be hard to have Isaac run with the action button. They will have to fix that innthe future. Other than that. Not to difficult to do. More tedious, and annoying as hell.
The Slasher Necromorphs in Mining section only seem like bullet sponges because they're wearing armored pants. You have to go for arm shots only or else you'll waste tons of ammo. I had issues with Issac sprinting but that's because I made the mistake of turning on "press Shift once to continual sprint." This ended up being very finnicky so I turned it off. Never experienced any of the bugs you encountered (Hunter disappearing is a big oof), but there was stuttering many times because of the motion blur effect I suspect. Oddly enough, the Necromorphs would slow down in tandem so it ended up being glitchy but unpunishing. Flamethrower is the all-star of the remake, it went from being utterly useless in the original to indispensible when being swarmed by Necromorphs. Just throw down a wall of fire and watch them burn helplessly in place (it even works against Twitchers, arguably the most dangerous enemy you'll frequently face).
Pro tip: if you're having a bad run at a specific section or feel you're about to die just reload your previous save. Worked wonders for me and got the challenge done.
oh i just realized something the eye death scene in dead space 2 is going to be way more brutal now oh i can see it now ............................................................... amazing
I died at the fans in the power room on Aegis VII because they kinda glitched out, worked my way back to the first horde battle there, and it soft locked. It's actually been the most annoying Dead Space Hardcore achievement despite not being very hard.
already got it, completed it in just over 10 hours. 1.2 percent of those who completed it!! Also competed it with the plasma Cutter only, got that Achievement too! Picking up weapons from the ground does not void out the achievement, nor does upgrading them.
Thanks man, that part was tedious going back through those like 4 in my new gamebplus runs. Everytime I was like "Ugh through the fans......again....ffs" lmao
Only place I really died in the remake was the second hunter area because i had no clue what i was doing so i kept dying in the first area until i realized i just had to leave the area
The flamethrower is actually ace in the remake, it melts the necro's flesh off making them easier to dismember and they also react to the flames compared to the original where they just charged through the fire and the flames...
Impossible run with plasma cutter only is just the ultimate dead space experience. It was really scary, but relieved when it was over. Picking up the weapons won't affect the achievement, just put them in the storage and never use them.
I got the untouchable achievement back on my xbox 360 on my 100th play through and it was the hardest thing ever. And broke like 10 controllers. Man I hadn't play a game on its hardest difficulty since I played the halo games all on legendary difficulty.
Late to the party but you can pick up guns and launch poles or fan blades at enemies without ruining the One Gun achievement I know because i semi unwillingly did a plasma cutter only run as my first time in this game. I say semi because it was sorta out of just being super comfy with it and any weapons i did come across i didnt equip and stowed away as soon as i could
With small bugs, I had a lighting issue when I was either in the Leviathan boss room, or close to it. But aside from that, pretty smooth experience. Got my ass kicked a lot, but that's to be expected.
I actually just finished one gun impossible today. My first run was hard one gun and I didn't want to have to balance nodes for the cutter suits AND other guns so that's why I did one gun too
I just finished the one gun, impossible run last night, and by far the hardest part in my 10 hour playthrough was not making a criminal amount of weezer jokes.
sucks that youtube is cracking down on your content so much. hope you get a break from them soon! great video again even tho doing a plasma cutter only run does not sound much liek a challange considering its pretty much the best weapon in the game.
The necromorphs glow red when they're near the marker because of its "Dead Space" field around it. In lore, necromorphs are physically incapable of approaching the markers, but that doesn't really work from a gameplay perspective, so they're slowed down, instead.

Hope this helps, I ended up with almost 200 grand after my playthrough and I had my level 5 suit already.
Always first run being a plasma cutter run, it's still king of the weapon slots my god.
Some tips that helped me with Impossible Mode:
3. Stasis is going to be your best friend, so always make sure to have at least a couple stasis packs in your inventory (I recommend at least 2-3.)
That way, you can pre-emptively dismember any corpses in the area, leaving the Infector with no bodies to transform and forcing it to attack you instead,
That's about it.
Or just do the really easy infinite ammo and money exploit with the pulse rifle XD
@@SabreFang121 Nah man, why be lame and abuse a glitch? Especially when the mode isn’t even difficult enough to warrant using glitches to complete it.
Good tips man. Going to attempt it with plasma cutter only.
I'd also add, fire extinguishers. Use those as much as possible, they are basically weaker versions of the explosive canisters.
at 16:08 when he says "you're done you sonnava bitch", if you complete the sidequest pertaining to the hunter's backstory, isac says something more the sincere like "rest, he can't hurt you anymore" which was an awesome discovery to make this video lmao
What would you expect from an engine room lol
The reason was to build tension where you think something will happen. It was loud to take away audio so you would think I cannot hear them coming.
Yea that thing MELTS literally 😂
Only complaint with the gun is it doesn’t work like DS2 handcannon but regardless of that the suit alone was worth it for me😭🤌🏾

Are you sure you've played deadspace 2?
The deadspace remake foam finger works EXACTLY like the deadspace 2 version, only difference it has a Lazer on it to help with your aim....
@@UghHimAgain positive lol and it doesn’t work like DS2 as that version was like the force gun you didn’t have to actually aim at the limbs with it as to the remake were you need to be accurate go back and watch some old vids on it as you clearly never had it in ds2
@Shaolin Simpson
Yeah I've had it it in deadspace 2. In fact I've had the foam finger in every single main entry deadspace because I 100% all 3 on both consoles (PS3 & Xbox 360) along with 100% The remake.
The foam finger gun works EXACTLY the same in all 3 games but the main differences in all three games is as follows.
Deadspace Remake = A Laser Beam to help aim your shots
Deadspace 2 = No laser beam But works EXACTLY like the Remake but Shoots as fast as you can pull the trigger. It was in no way like a force gun
Deadspace 3 = Had an ammo counter so you were using your plasma cutter rounds as ammo and had a reload feature in the form of Issac doing a rock and roll emote
Conclusion, all 3 Deadspace foam finger cannons WORKED EXACTLY THE Sme

Why watch old videos when I have the games on my series x?
Did it yesterday. It's not really hard imo. The hardest part are the first 2hours until you get some upgrades on your Plasmacutter and rig. And some cheap deaths could be a pain, like the torpedo room. But overall just take it slow, prepare for specific enemy waves and use telekinesis a lot. Then it's manageable.
If you have knowledge about the gameplay, it’s a cake walk. With a few spikes in difficulty either due to the threat of instadeath areas, or enemy density, or even just being unlucky with the game bugging out.
yeah, did it on the 3rd playthrough after hard and ng+. Once you're familiar of how most of the fights go down, its not that bad.
First try I tried to conserve ammo and got overwhelmed by the flying thing that infects corpses
@@Tea_Dawg helps to stomp every corpse you see, but this makes the Infectors go after you immediately on top of every other Necromorph.
@@KombatTaco yeah but all
You have to do is shoot off a wing and they crawl slow
The loud room in the original was actually sounds of trains going over tracks, overlayed and repeated. Taken from under the tracks, too.
When you’re near the marker and the necromorphs get near it, it ends up slowing them down very good for training em around for that nice quick second of breathing room
Pro tip, if you wanna get rid of swarmers with one shot, just stasis them and shoot one with the plasma cutter and they will all die.
They detonate each other while stasised? I never knew this.
@@BlankeeStarcraft Yeah. They do, even on hardest difficulties.
I stasis the “Brute” while he was crossing over the electrical arcs. I felt so incredibly intelligent after doing so, I highly recommend trying it lol
Big brain plays
Just wanted to let ya know, I did the one gun achievement and picking up weapons did not stop the achievement. The wording is specifically that you USE only the Plasma Cutter. And picking up the gun doesn't equip them.
Isaac’s voice line when the boss fight commences is so well done
*chef’s kiss*
Uncertain if this is true in Impossible, but at least in Normal and Hard the Marker actually slows down the enemies a bit (not full stasis level, probably about a quarter of that) and the red glow does make them a bit easier to spot. I think this is in reference to one of the animations where the Security Lead sits by the Marker and all of the Necromorphs don't come near her. Even in game they mention it acts like an 'eye of the storm'.
yep it works, they do slow down a bit & highlights them. not gonna lie i thought it was powering them up so i got SCARED
Yeah it’s the “dead space”
The plasma cutter is legit so op, get the melee attachment and you can knock EVERYTHING down and it’ll save your life, it will work wil hunter
That loud room was probably a callback to the Atmosphere reactor environment from Aliens.
Ripley
I like how you have an advantage on the Xbox 360 version of Dead Space 2 when playing hardcore. Assuming you never saved, if you die on disc 2, you only restart at the beginning of disc 2. It's essentially a hidden checkpoint and no need to swap back to disc 1
"i dont remember this loud room in the original why would they do this"
no it's definitely there in the original and it is even louder than in the remake.
16:08 - It's pretty cool that Isaac has a different, more sympathetic voice line if you complete the side quest about the hunter's origins.
“You know you’re hItting the weak spot if it squirts” 😏😂
Nothing but a happy Isaac after beating the Impossible mode and with just a plasma cutter to get a Hand Cannon. Not bad at all for an engineer
Just started my Impossible run yesterday. Thanks for clearing up a few things. Mainly, the fact that the saves are just so that you can return to the game if you don't have enough time to finish it in a single playthrough. I can't wait to get that hand cannon.
Good luck Buddy have dead space Remake On platinum and impossibile Run Was really fun and Also frustaiting in Same time
In the lore, the Marker is dumping out electromagnetic waves that drive people insane and reprogram the DNA in dead tissue to make the necromorphs.
Impossible is manageable since you can pause during a death and return to main menu or quit game and you can reload to previous save.
that's not "managing", that's just cheating
The loud room was in the first one too!!! Trust me I've finished the game so many times
Haven't checked when exactly it checks for the death, but from what I hear, as long as you close the game before the "Go to Menu or Change to Hard" message pops up, you're fine.
you're not really accomplishing the goal though are you
@@NickHunter It’s really the same thing.
Especially if you’re just doing it based on damage, as opposed to reloading every time you feel like you used too much ammo or if you accidentally waste health packs or sell supplies.
i liked the nodes being used to unlock areas
made you decide between an upgrade or a potential resource gold mine
It was dumb bc only like 2 doors in any of the games ever carried more than 10k worth of stuff. Sometimes a good schematic would be there but it’s better to find those things in the wild imo.
@@brad7073 oh i know, hence why i said "potential"
12:57 you can also use the poles with kinesis to one shot them
Just a heads up, you CAN pick up weapons, and still get the plazma cutter only achievement. You just can't equip/shoot them.
For 4:25 , picking up guns does not void the achievement. The gun is in your inventory, but if you equip and use it, it's voided. From there, you can store the gun in the safe and even upgrade it while it's in the safe at a bench.
if you do the side quest Issac says “It’s over Harris. He can’t hurt you anymore.” which i think is a wayyyyy better line than the latter
That loud room was in the original. Trying to actually finish the original before trying the remake
Just to note, you can pick up guns and still get the one gun achievement. You just can’t use them so throw them in your storage inventory first chance you get to avoid ammo drops for guns you’re not using.
For the one gun achievement you can pick and leave it in your inventory and then storage it in the shop.
I dont know if this is a bug or a feature but when i played the remake in the medical room where you have to fight the hunter and move the battery into the door to escape all i had to do was go down the elevator and go back up and the hunter just goes and doesnt come back for that room
edit - timestamp for the room is 8:52 if anyone didnt understand what i said before
2008 Dead Space platinum was a good time
2023 time to do it again😊
i wish motive gave us a horde mode as a reward if you beat the game on impossible, that would certainly give a lot of people motivation to take on the challenge to unlock the mode also they should design vr version of deadspace
Well the hand cannon is reward enough. A quick "pew" and any enemy is reduced to liquid.
@It's Ya Boi Guzma um sir horde is a completely different experience

I'm not sure if that's an easter egg to confirm they're working on it, but leaving that recording in the game felt like a nod that they were genuinely interested.
i did find that! i just tried to leave most of the new story stuff out for people who may not have seen it all yet :)
I like how the Slug was replaced with a second Leviathan boss battle in the Remake
The slug was actually a leviathan remnant, they just made the leviathan arach itself to the anthens this time.
FYI, One Gun achievement, you just only need to kill necromorphs with only the plasma cutter no other guns. I kept the new gun on me to upgrade the weapons later on. You can also use the environment to kills the necromorphs or RED canisters..
I love that the deaf room made it in
SHOTS FIRED AT EVIL WITHIN IN THE FIRST FIVE SECONDS DAMN
You can pick up the other weapons the one gun achievement is only voided if you fire the other weapons
i decided to do imossible with the one gun too and honestly compared to my first run it was actually way easier, im gonna guess its because the game only gives you the one type of ammo so you have a ton of it
I wish they brought the impossible difficulty setting for 2008 DS one back and then made you do the one life run on that difficulty, I did my first play through on hard, and I had like maybe one death to necromorphs, and like 2 to environmental hazards
So the remake gives you the rewards of all 3 games combined. The hand canon, the suit, and the achievement
Pro tip: if you're having a bad run at a specific section or feel you're about to die just reload your previous save. Worked wonders for me and got the challenge done.
I had one crash my self and a few things here and there that’s floating.
I just finished Dead Space 2's hardcore mode with just the plasma cutter. That is one of the GOATs of guns in game history.
Easily the most grueling playthrough of any shooter game I've completed, props to you for having perseverance for it.
oh i just realized something the eye death scene in dead space 2 is going to be way more brutal now oh i can see it now ...............................................................
This is just EPIC
I love it!! Looks very cool
Can’t wait for this thanks for sharing bro
And keep going the great work🚀
Huh in surprised they actually improved that asteroid shooting section from the orginal I actually like it a lot better now
As someone who beat every dead space title on impossible solo this one is definitely the most challenging just finished it last night😊
I dunno man I feel like dead space 2 has a lot more instagib moments and tougher enemy combinations
Just beat Impossible Mode for the Remake this morning, was a great feeling getting the Trophy for it and the Foam finger hand gun 👌
pewpew
17:10 if anyone wants a tip for impossible mode you can actually avoid all of the fans by going back up the elevator shaft.
My first death in this game came from clipping through the floor at a door I had to use stasis on, glad I wasn't trying impossible mode.
Impossible run with plasma cutter only is just the ultimate dead space experience. It was really scary, but relieved when it was over. Picking up the weapons won't affect the achievement, just put them in the storage and never use them.
Great game. I actually had so many crashes on it and was so scared it would reset my run. But it turned out ok. Nice job.
You can get the One Gun achievement if you do not fire any other weapon than the plasma cutter you can hold any gun
I got the untouchable achievement back on my xbox 360 on my 100th play through and it was the hardest thing ever. And broke like 10 controllers. Man I hadn't play a game on its hardest difficulty since I played the halo games all on legendary difficulty.
Pretty sure that really loud room was in the original, it just wasn't so loud that it made you feel like your eardrums were being blown out.
Late to the party but you can pick up guns and launch poles or fan blades at enemies without ruining the One Gun achievement
I know because i semi unwillingly did a plasma cutter only run as my first time in this game. I say semi because it was sorta out of just being super comfy with it and any weapons i did come across i didnt equip and stowed away as soon as i could
Can confirm you can pick up other tools/weapons and storage them just don't shoot or hit any enemies
With small bugs, I had a lighting issue when I was either in the Leviathan boss room, or close to it. But aside from that, pretty smooth experience. Got my ass kicked a lot, but that's to be expected.
Can always quit out if you think you're gonna die. Got hit by the fire tunnels and quit out. My save was still on impossible.

I don’t like that the dialogue makes it seem like they should take damage when near it and then they just. Don’t.
