Bruce needed a friend around HIS age. Not just children following his lead, or a father figure like Alfred. Clark was probably one of his first real friends after his parent's death, along with Harvey Dent, but we know how that turned out.
100% correct. It's top tier entertainment, and frankly, it just makes sence. There are no two more principled characters in DC than Superman and Batman, and their distinct personalities give so much room for good writers to have fun with.
The relationship between Bruce and Clark at the beginning of Young Justice were Clark talks to Bruce about Superboy was fantastic, and how Bruce told him tjat he should kindle a relationship with Connor is important. Man, thanks for reminding me just how good Batman/Superman: Public Enemies and Apocalspe were. I've seen those two movies more times than any other DC movie. World's finest Batman and Superman is peak: these two characters play so well off each other. We need more of this, tired of seeing Batman and Superman as mere coleagues or - even worse - enemies. It's as if The Dark Knight Returns has made people think that this is the only way for these two to be depicted together when at the time, it was an anomaly, not the norm.
As good as they are together I think we don't have a good point of comparison due to them being DCs safe bet. So we mostly get to see them in adaptations and nobody else working together.
The best part of Public Enemies, the comic, was when Batman told Superman he should've called instead of showing up outta nowhere, Superman replied he's faster than a phone call. They should have added this discussion in the movie.
I think the reason why this duo isn't more beloved is that DC makes them enemies far too often. Yeah even with other iconic duos like Cap/Iron Man or Spider-man/Human Torch you have that occasional time where they are against each other but Superman and Batman are 50% of the time the best of buddies and the other 50% Batman wants to stab in the back Superman at the first occasion. I think the problem is that writers took far too much inspiration from the Frank Miller/Mike Barr version of Batman: a paranoid asshole that has no problem indulging in violence and sees anyone near him as a threat/pawn to use for his own gain.
It’s such a shame that we haven’t seen this relationship on screen. Every relationship we’ve gotten is Batman hating or being indifferent to Superman. Which is just crap. Superman is supposed to represent the best of us, even to Batman. So any conflict they do have is supposed to feel tragic. It’s why BvS was so dogshit. I am praying that James Gunn knows what he’s doing but I have faith. He has been good at having an emotional through line in all of his movies, even suicide squad. Also I’m about done with the evil Superman trope. We haven’t seen a good Superman in a long fucking time. And Henry Cavill while I love him had such awful writing for his Superman. It’s about time that people realize Superman isn’t a bland character.
this reminds me of the time where superman and batman fused dragon ball style in the comics and they were so unbelievably broken that the writer's had to put a time limit on them because they were soloing there whole verse just viscous asswhoppings all around.
This is the reason why Warner Bros. were unbelievably stupid for not allowing the creators of Smallville to have Smallville and Gotham air on The WB network as companion shows in a shared universe, as originally intended. Gotham ended up being made for the Fox network three years after Smallville ended.
I think it could’ve been interesting to have Batman and Superman start as enemies then realize they’re better off working together, Snyder just fumbled so hard
My favorite take on batman and superman is the dcau movie Superman Batman Worlds Finest. It is also a three parter in Superman Tas but it was made into a movie aswell.
tim daly and kevin conroy together sounds so peak... but the art style is putting me off so much. the DCAU style like in world's finest looks so much better in comparison.

4:54 made me choke on my drink bro, real tears 😂😂
"Free trial on running them hands" 😂💔
this reminds me of the time where superman and batman fused dragon ball style in the comics and they were so unbelievably broken that the writer's had to put a time limit on them because they were soloing there whole verse just viscous asswhoppings all around.
😂😂😂You violated the DCEU..that John Cena meme will never get old!
8:23 I BEEN WAITING FOR THIS MEME TO POP UP LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Bro its like you read my mind.. thanks
tim daly and kevin conroy together sounds so peak... but the art style is putting me off so much. the DCAU style like in world's finest looks so much better in comparison.
In the world's finest
They weren't together
And besides canonically
Lois in the DCAU never learned
That Clark Kent and Superman
Is the same person
You mean the world’s finest?
