A few things that actually helped to control my hairfall include: (1) I stopped wearing ponytails because it causes tension damage. (2) I began massaging my scalp twice a week with liitleextra cocoonnion hair oil while bending over & holding my head upside down to allow blood flow to the scalp. (3) Covering my head while moving out to safeguard my hair from dust and pollution. (4) Using gentle shampoo again from liittleextra only to wash my hair.

I have tried using Apple Cider Vinegar in my hair since I saw this video a few weeks ago. Wow, it has made a huge difference! My hair feel lighter in weight, has more curl, and is brighter and shinier, and even easier to brush! What a beautiful difference. My hair is long and since I started using this, I was in a store recently and a man said, "don't ever cut your hair because it is beautiful." I haven't washed my hair with shampoo for 8 years. I only rinse it with diluted ACV 1-2 times a month. 40% 5% ACV and 60% water. And zero hair products.
It does not smell, not even of "hair".
The ACV removes any odor, leaving the hair with a faint fruity scent.
So I've used quite the larger amount of ACV with no problems.
I do not like to use it as "aftershave", but it does a fine job at that as well.
Do you ever smell, like under your arms and can't seem to get rid of the BO? Add some diluted ACV under your arms(IT WILL BURN, first time), for a min, rinse, wash, BO gone.
You can also clean carpets with ACV, wash your floors with it, fabric softener and odor remover, quite a lot of good uses.
Just.....remember you have to dilute it. The Vinegar odor evaporates within 10-15mins, if you dilute it. If you use full strength, your carpet might smell like vinegar.
    Now back to by hair:
I went to the hairdresser for the first time in 6 years, 2 years ago.
She had never seen hair as nice as mine, so strong and long and even had an incredible stretch to it, such a clean scalp and was amazed I only used diluted ACV.
She had heard of this, but not seen it in person. My hairdresser could not understand why I had no split ends/tips either, was this due to the ACV? The other hairdressers came over and had to look at my hair, hold it, feel it.....and one of them joked if this came out, the shampoo business would go under.
Initial "problems" will last about 1 month, you'll have bad hair days for a month.
But then the 'body' starts to build up, and in 6 months you'll have thick lovely '70's hair.
Edit for the odd spacing UA-cam now makes in comments.

When I was a little girl, I would often spend parts of the summer in a small country town with my great aunt and uncle . Many beautiful sunny, summer mornings I recall that aunt would take me outside and take rain barrel water and wash my hair. After shampooing, she would take diluted apple cider vinegar and rinse my very oily ,then platinum blonde hair, using the vinegar as a rinse or astringent. It would be so shiny and remain oil -free for several days afterwards.
I still have oily blonde hair. I hadn't thought about this in awhile. Though I use apple cider vinegar internally and for other things as well. I can't wait to repeat this process, sans the rain water.
Thank you Doc for helping me recall a happy, loving memory. I'll let y'all know. Thanks for everything you all do and teach. You're so funny , a phenomenal teacher,as well as an inspiration.

ACV is super popular as a hair treatment in the Black American community. I would say most Black women who wear their hair natural in its curly and/or coily state use it or are at least aware of ACV rinses. Many haircare product companies that cater to this demographic caught on and have been including ACV in their products for a few years now. Personally, I have used ACV rinses for years. Works best for me applied between shampooing and conditioning. I leave it in with my conditioner for 5-10 mins or so then rinse. I had the healthiest, most beautiful hair in my life when I was consistent with the ACV rinses and other natural haircare such as hot oil scalp treatments with organic castor oil.

I do this for quite a while now. Don't waste money on conditioners or on clarifying shampoos which supposed to remove the shampoo build up. Rinse your hair first as usual after using a shampoo. Then fill the sinc with filtered water, add the right amount of acv, dip your hair and sculp in it for about 30 - 40 sec, massage the sculp a bit in the acv-water - I rinse it off (not completely) with cool filtered water after that cleanse. Cool or cold water closes the overlapping outermost cells of the hair which makes them shine. The acv smell disappears by the way.

Rain water is great too.

I have been looking for some solutions to my oily & damaged hair Early I've tried rice water which is truly amazing. But then I realized I cannot used it frequently as my hair already healthier and only using it once a month or when needed. Then, I switched to coffee (I used black nescafe) because my hair getting thinner. I like the smell of coffee in my hair and have been using it for twice a week and when needed. It helps grow my baby hair within one to two weeks.
Later on, my hair becomes oily at the top. I'm trying to use rice water to treat it but no changes at all. I thought I may have tried ginger water but then... maybe... just maybe APPLE CIDER VINEGAR would help and YES, my hair is softer now. I used ACV as my final rinse. I leave it on my hair and let it air drySo, here I am few times now trying to learn more about ACV. Thank you doctor for the information!!!!
Shampoo first, then conditioner. Wash with water (mine is hard water) and then final rinse with ACV.

I have used plain white vinegar whenever my scalp gets too itchy from dandruff. It cleans the scalp off a lot more flakes which causes less itchyness. Some dandruffs have been linked to too much yeast on your scalp, which I think the vinegar may be killing. Since starting keto my head hasn't itched nearly as much so I haven't had to do this in a while.
