I do ACV 3x a day. In a cup of water, 1 tablespoon, I use a straw. I do this 30 minutes before eating...curbs my appetite...no longer crave sweets, have lost 80 pounds and kept it off for going on 3 years. I also do intermittentfasting, 16/8. I am 73, I am feeling better than ever. No prescriptions....it works for me 😊

Some of it is a placebo effect. And since you have two variables, apple cider vinegar ingestion plus intermittent fasting you can't say which one is helping with your weight.

I have lost weight and lowered my BP since taking Apple Cider Vinegar. I went from 265lbs to 235lbs in 6 months. Also cut out a lot of pastas and breads. I try not to eat anything with more than 6 or 7 grams of sugar per serving. My BP was 149 /101 and dropped to 128/83 I look and feel so much better. I was putting 30ml of ACV to my bottle of water and my favorite flavored drink mix. I did it once before bed and then again as soon as I woke up in the morning. I love ACV. Went from a size 44 to 38 pants size

I have had kidney stones 3x now, and here are some tips and tricks I learned along the way. A heating pad applied to the painful area does wonders. I now prepare a gallon jug of water and I add like 5 table spoons of apple cider vinegar, | drink a few glasses a day. At first ! did not like it, but over time I am now craving it daily. I truly believe it threnses my thirst better than any other drink, even plain water.
Anyways, I have never had a kidney stone after I started drinking this. It has been like 5 years. Look up apple cider vinegar benefits, you'll be amazed at all the benefits. Hope it helps somebody dealing with these nasties.

I was on a steady diet of Tums for years, and it was only getting worse. Now I make up a mixture of 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar, a 1/4 teaspoon of white sea salt, and 16 ounces of water. I rarely get heartburn, but when I do, I take a sip or two of my concoction, and the heartburn is gone.
It's interesting that a Reddit forum for GERD and heartburn sufferers literally bans the discussion of ACV. Discussion of the multitude of Big Pharma products is more than welcome.

I’m 81 and I got a 5th UTI in 2 months, D Mannose had been helping me but the 5th UTI was from not drinking enough water and holding urine too long. I was praying for the Lord to please heal me and I feel like He led me to a video on baking soda and ACV helping quickly. So I drank 1 tsp baking soda in a cup of water then 2 Tbsp ACV in water, symptoms greatly reduced in an hour and continued to reduce throughout the day. I drank 2 tsp ACV in water throughout the day to cleanse my body of the bacteria. The second day felt really good. Yes except: a) you’re killing “the mother” by high heat b) honey is sugar and so not a good idea to have that every day and not good for people trying to lose weight c) no one has time to heat and do all that… it’s not necessary… the best way to drink ACV is with filtered water , plus fresh lemon juice and cayenne pepper. I'm a 58 yr. old male 5ft10in 200lbs my blood glucose in the 90's but a good a1c at 4.9. However, I was having blurry vision in the morning along with very dry mouth. I know these are blood sugar related issues so I'm on a mission to eat better and get down to 180lbs. A friend suggested I try ACV and I decided it couldn't hurt. I started off with 2 tbsp. in an 8oz glass of water before bed. Well, the very first morning I didn't have a dry mouth nor blurry vision so this definitely works.
My doc is pretty good he suggested my blood sugar is simply not coming back down fast enough. He tracked my yearly blood work and said when I went from 190lbs-200lbs I must've went over my threshold thus causing my blood sugar to go up and stay up too long. He said my body's too heavy, liver almost certainly too fat, pancreas almost certainly too fat the acv must somehow interact with the fat in the liver/pancreas to bring my blood sugar down. He said it's very important I eat less food/healthier food and basically ordered me to lose at least 15-20lbs the acv is great but just a stop gap.

I’ve been using ACV for around 5 years here’s my results. My wife and I own a duplex which we rent to my sister and her family of three mine of 4. Before Covid we went through the usual cold season, everyone in the house had the cold and flu multiple times, me zero no symptoms at all. I thought I was coming down with it but it was gone in no less than 10 hours. After work outs in which I pushed hard that day very little soreness with lactic acid build up. Didn’t notice the weight loss claim. But when you first start, this is weird but ear wax loosening a lot of ear wax cleaning maybe because of the clensing affect also more number 2 movements. This does work just follow the directions on the bottle

@@nancynguyen8643 I use a basic ratio for making dressing. 1 part water, 1 part vinegar, 1 part healthy oil.
I flavor the water by soaking organic or unsprayed fruit in it, such as dried cherries or citrus zest (minus the white pith) and juice, and other fruits with a little sugar and honey.
The oils I use are ev olive, sweet almond, avocado and grapeseed oil for variety.
When combining the ingredients, you may add a pinch of salt, honey, ginger, cinnamon, alspice, cardamom, black or pepper medley, garlic, cajun spice or whatever suits the occasion. I always add some of the fruit or zest to the mixture for beauty and texture. The combination of these ingredients is healthy and very flavorful and will keep remarkably well in your fridge. My neighbor beggs me to market the ginger-tangerine dressing I make. ;)
Hint: use the sugar and honey to macerate the zest or fruit. Add a little tap hot water to make a "tea" and an let set 10 - 20 minutes. The sugar/honey is used to to change the osmotic pressure helping draw out the terpenes and flavonoids making them more available to your tastebuds.

i have major allergies and this past week the allergies came back with a vengence. the corner of my eyes were beginning to hurt like never before and i knew i was in for a long run of allergies and pain. i was sitting there thinking and for what ever reason it dawned on me to use ACV on the inner corners of my eyes. now believe me when i say this, the corner pain of my eyes was beyond belief this time around for some reason. i put some ACV on a Q-tip and dab it on the inside corners of my eyes in the morning and again in afternoon. i will admit the pain was somewhat painful but after a few blinks and squeezing of my eye lids the pain subsided after about 30 seconds. my afternoon venture into ACV on my corners was a little better as the morning dip did its job, i am in the early morning hours now and the pain in the corner of my eyes is GONE. all the remains is the soreness of what i did when i was rubbing my eyes. NO MORE PAIN and my allergies seems to have disappeared, so far, cept for my stuffy nose ... ACV seems to be a cure all for many things. Edit after i posted this, cucumber juice i found out years ago does the same thing ... cept with that i just squeezed the juice on my eye .. i never used it that much as cucumbers are harder to keep than a bottle of ACV.

I live in the USA. I think I'd been prediabetic or hypoglycemic since my teens. When I was having a minor surgery, the RN told me my blood sugars were elevated and to get it checked. At any of my doctors' check-ups my A1C or any other blood test was never ordered because nobody in my family was diabetic so therefore, I couldn't be. At age 30 I weighed 310 lbs. and was tested, resulting with a high A1C. Eight years ago I had gastric bypass surgery and now weigh 126 lbs. My A1C fluctuates so about 5 years ago my husband read about a new study stating, taking 2 TBL apple cider vinegar every day helped to lower A1C. We didn't know any better, so we didn't mix it with anything to buffer the acid. My husband tried it first and loved the taste, he loves vinegar. I tried it and it felt like a volcano erupted in my stomach and esophagus. I was sick for hours. Needless to say, I haven't tried it since. After this video I guess I can use the apple cider vinegar, with MOTHER of course, into a salad dressing and hope for the best. Thank you for your research and honest opinion. cheers

The next time I tried Braggs ACV (same mixture), not any better tasting but...the sugar spike I would normally see on the CGM was much less with both vinegars. Y’all are terrific thank you for the informative videos. Yes I also do the “mother” vinegar everyday - I put a large splash in OJ every morning and agree it has a bite! I do believe in the positive benefits which is why I keep taking it. By accident my wife bought White House Apple Cider Vinegar with Honey so now I feel like I am also getting the benefit of honey with the vinegar and it does not have the bite that straight AC vinegar has. Maybe a video on honey and its healing properties docs? Thank you again!

So hilarious, “of course, she does”, “of course, you don’t”. The best part of these videos is the banter. Oh yeah, and their educational too.😅

Placebo effect. Capsules are a scam. Same with gummies. Everybody always looking for an easier way. Just find a combo you can tolerate, suck it up and DO IT.

So does ACV have any affect on urine pH? And may help avoid UTIs?

    • @TalkingWithDocs
      @TalkingWithDocs  10 місяців тому

Likely not. Our bodies are so good at regulating pH

I learned from some video a way to get your two tablespoons of ACV a day. Take 2 water bottles, add juice from lemon in each bottle, one tablespoon ACV in each water bottle. Add a few drops of stevia in each water bottle and shake. This makes it taste more like lemonade, and the lemon aids the hydration. Drink before meals. I do believe it may suppress appetite and though my diet is basically carb-less, it helps stabilize blood sugar.

Great video! I take 1tblp of Braggs in a glass of of warm water when I have intestinal problems. Works like a charm. If I were to take it on a more regular basis, how frequent?

Hey Gents, thanks for exploring Apple Cider Vinegar. One popular use (online) is for GERD. Any chance of looking into ACV improving GERD?

So recently I was having a feeling that food was getting stuck in my throat, with to the ENT and they said I have LPR (Laryngopharyngeal Reflux Protocol) and put me on antacids. Over the course of about a month my throat issue was getting worse so I checked out UA-cam (20 or so videos). Found lots of videos saying that low stomach acid causes the valve to not close and thus leads to LPR. So, I stopped the antacids and tried ACV and within a week my throat problem was much better. I tried to find a study on this topic but was unable to. I am going to keep taking it but wish the medical community was aligned with my experience and UA-cam.

@@harlanmitchell670 I have EoE (Eosinophilic Esophagitis) and learned that antacids as well as allergy meds are horrible for digestive issues -- one alters the digestive acids in your stomach and the other suppresses your body's reactions to foods so you just keep eating things your body can't deal with because you don't realize it! I've choked on food for years, tested negative twice for Helicobacter Pylori, and last May ended up in the ER for emergency surgery due to impacted food and finally diagnosed with EoE since they were able to test during the procedure. Have been on a strict food elimination diet since Sept with no antacids or allergy meds, and it is SHOCKING how quickly and strongly I can react to problem foods -- and easy to notice when I'm reintroducing only one thing at a time, and eating few ingredients at a time. We eat so many multi-ingredient meals that it can be hard to figure out which individual item is causing the issue, esp when we just cover up symptoms with drugs.

    Dear Docs
I'm trying to reduce prescription Omeprazole 40 mg 2x per day for 11 years..
So I'm trying to reduce and then elimate it completely. I was put on it for Barrett's Esophagitis
Which was cleared but now I'm having many of the side effects listed. I've been trying 2 tablespoons ACV with the mother in cup of water and was shocked it stopped the Gerd for that time. What are your thoughts?
    Thanks
    Patricia

That's 10:42 two much. Be sure to take B12 while on this. I started probotics and it helped me. I take 20mg of pepcid daily. These meds for acid reflux have all kinds of side effects. Research them because there are other things for acid reflux. I take the ACV capsules. The organic ones.

Could you do a video on extra virgin olive oil (the good stuff with the certification seal)? I think Auburn was supposed to do a clinical with it that would involve dementia and small vessel. Unfortunately, covid hit and I could no longer find any information about the clinical. I'm interested in your opinion on EVOO and vascular plaque along with other benefits.

My mentor swears that ACV is responsible for her overall good health and she has been taking it every morning (with water) for years. I have tried several times in my life to do this and I find ACV disgusting, even diluted, and it made me feel nauseous first thing in the morning. I have used it in my own vinaigrette, but still, I'd rather use balsamic. Since I'm not diabetic, I'm happy to hear that I don't have to take it because I hate it. Thanks, Docs!

Another peripheral benefit of ACV if you make your own seitan is 1 or 2 Tbs in the mix will usually negate the aftertaste of seitan.
