I bough this model 2nd hand ( had 5500 miles on it). This was my first bike AND I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It now has almost 23k on it in the 2 years since i bought th ebeast. I dont think i could hav edone any better for a first bike!
I bought this bike as my second bike, my first was a 250 Ninja. I'm still growing into it, but man is it awesome! You dont see too many of these out there so I'm really happy with my purchase- truly an amazing motorcycle. The only downsides are that the rear tire is so big it's very expensive to replace, and makes handling a bit tougher around corners. I plan on keeping mine for quite awhile, and I'd like to get an aftermarket seat for it.
@@rahulrane1658 yeah it gets a little clunky from 1st to 2nd gear sometimes and wants to slip out of gear. It's not bad though. If I'm getting on it, I hit the heel shift- it seems to be effective in not letting it slip
50 more Hp than a Indian Roadmaster 73 HP at 3000 rpm verses Suzuki 123Hp at 6300 rpm. Way larger power band . I was looking at a Indian Roadmaster when I discovered its Hp rating was 73 only 20 more than my little c50 I was stunned. $42,000 for a new one in Canada with a few extra features a used 2012 Suzuki C109 with 17,000 KMs 7 grand guess which one I am buying no contest Suzuki is the superior bike. I wish they started making them again. I am patriotic but with my budget I would have to take a second mortgage to buy the Indian. I could ride 5 months out of the year no thanks a name is not worth that much.
Unfortunately there is nothing in the aftermarket realm for this bike. I bought an 09 c109RT and I'm finding out only Bridgestone has the tires for it and it has nothing else available at all
Reverse gear would have been nice, but too late now because they are no longer in production but a beautiful bike to ride. I need to get a windshield, though.
I've had mine for 10yrs and only replaced the tires and battery. 40,000 km. Regular maintenance of course 👍
Tony
I am hearing complaints about 2nd gear on this bik, more so on the M109 variant.
What is your take on it?
Thanks

I do not understand why suzuki no longer sells this model any more, seems to be great.
Yeah I don't understand why they discontinued the Cavalcade, either.
An awesome motor for long distances. I have a 2008 fully dressed.

Did he say you can lope on the highway at 120 in fourth gear? I kind of doubt that, unless he’s meaning 1200RPMs.
120 km per hr man
O no bro 100 3rd, 120 4th, 145+ 5th. NEVER doubt what you don't know.
These are great bikes to ride but for a so called touring package you are going to have to travel light or not go very far from home!
