Yes, could be a 09 thing. Sorry I am not aware of that. The studded cargo bag was a loaner from my Vulcan VN2000 as mine from the 109RT was borrowed by a friend for a trip.
.. Thank you Good pointing out difference in shift points Looking at getting mine before Halloween 2022 have two C50Ts don't like bringing the revs too high while on the freeway wind is a consideration at 600 lbs Well Done Thank you ...
.. another note . . . I'd typically lay back with 800 cc when around other riders but now with 1800 cc I'll likely transform to Alexander the Great ...
I picked up a 2006 C90T last sept. Really enjoy the bike but it would be better with a bigger gas tank. (I knew this before I bought the bike, so no surprise) The dealer had one of these C109RT also but I felt like it might be too much bike. The main thing I hear with the 109 is that the big rear tire can be a bit hard to push over into a turn. What do you think about the cornering with this bike? A couple of other reviewers mentioned they would be prefer a deeper note on the exhaust.
Hello Steve! To answer your questions - 1) Gas tank: We have approx. 20 litres in the tank (you can convert to gallons/imperial gallons if you are US/UK based). This size is pretty standard for larger bikes like this 20 - 22 litres. My Vulcan 2000 has 21L. Some HDs have 22L. I have been getting between 17 and 18 KM per litre on gas (40 MPG to 42.35 MPG) - gives me a good enough range. But if your bike is not stock, economy may suffer. Note that some larger bikes like VTX-1800 have much smaller tanks 15L :-) 2) Cornering: This is a bigger/heavier bike, slow speeds in the city and cornering will definitely need more practice/skill build up, if you are scaling up from a smaller/mid size cruiser. That being said, once you get the hang of it, you can bend it around the corners - and I mean it when I say it. 3) Exhaust: yep, I feel it is a bit feeble. Compared to my Vulcan 2000 when stock, it is much feebler. You can opt for meatier exhausts though at some more cost at the gas station.
Good review just wanna know which bike is more powerful .fast and comfortable on highway speeds among boulevard c109rt, vulcan vn 2000 and honda vtx 1800 pls suggest . Thanks
The Vulcan is the most potent. The others are good too and you will not go wrong with either. Personal preference - sitting style etc. I am going to make a detailed comparison.
Your seats and backrest should be studded if it is an C109RT but maybe that's only the 09 version
