did he slip for a second at the end or was it a cool pause? 6:34 either way playing live in that tight setting isnt easy while walking around epic alltime set
Love how through the whole beginning of the video the trombonist was like super happy and genuinely enthusiastic about what the rest of the band is playing… then he brings that horn to his lips and was like “I’m in charge now bitches” and kicked it all to the next level
That is extremely optimistic. These are Berkely students and the like. They didn't get here by chance. They worked super hard for it. You're just seeing it on youtube instead of at a show. Most of those marching band geeks end up flaking out just like us sports people. Only the phenoms and the truly dedicated remain. And i"m here for it.
Wow just wow…..Leo P drops right back in with Lucky Chops , on the old stomping ground ….NY Subway…..great to see the joy on everyone’s faces…..👍😜👌❤️🇮🇲
Funkytown has a special place in my heart. It was the very first Brass House song I heard from Lucky Chops when Leo P was with them. Someone shared it with me on Facebook and I've been hooked ever since.
I love that this dude is everywhere, but still gets a whole horn section and two drummers to play for free in the subway. 👍💯 that's what music and love is really about!
Wow, where has that time gone?? I remember all those years ago stepping out of the subway and thinking WTF was that and where can I get more? I have been fortunate enough to have seen LC in the UK since then but even thought I’m in my 70’s now I cant wait for the next time. Bloody brilliant guys. 🇬🇧🇬🇧
I miss NY. Living in Kansas City now but I was born and raised in NY. I miss the energy and music and the food and the vibe of the City. Nothing like it in the world. :)
Is it still like that? I was in NYC in their Ly 90's and it was stilll wild and free. Then went for a couple trips in early 2000's. It was all tourist tourist tourist.
This energy is hard to top. Definitely whats missing. Bring it back. From a non NewYorker from Ohio it makes me wanna be a New Yorker. We all appreciate that feeling once in awhile.😂
Great performance. I love the trombone player, a lovely tone and really good improvisations too. I think Lucky Chops and Too Many Zoos both started out as subway musicians.
6:34 did anyone else notice the Trombonist almost lose his slide? Haha, he fixed that situation really quickly though. Nice job to the entire band, and that baseline on the Sousaphone is a vibe.
Nice seeing Leo again and Adrian is a great addition. Miss Raph but Nora holds up and is great on the Sous. Awesome to see the stoic Daro be a little extra lively, and Josh is always a pleasure to behold.
Fr, you know that meme that’s like “I like this one, but damn this one’s better” (I’m referring to the other Funkytown vid and how it’s awesome, but GAWD DAMN this one’s fire🔥🔥)
This is pretty funny timing actually, recently a lot of my recommended has been brass bands, some even performing funkytown, that I got big lucky chops vibes from and then also Leo P's BBC proms performance. Its good to see him back on the channel
Kay....once I played tenor sax, and I realize I'm not a Leo style pro, but I CANNOT IN ALL CAPS UNDERSTAND HOW HE PLAYS BARI SAX AND DANCES AT THE SAME TIME. Guy is a frikken magical wizard.
Funny how like 3 years can pass in my life, then I catch a new Lucky Chops video and as I'm watching it (I watch them all) I wonder if I'd be the same person if I grew up somewhere something cool is always happening.
I was literally just going through the channel watching old videos thinking to myself I wish lucky chops would upload a new video, I refresh the page and my day has been blessed! I saw you guys in Buffalo last month and I can’t wait to go to another concert! You guys have been an inspiration to me as a musician for about 6 years now. Thanks for all you do and keep rocking it!! 🤟🤟
Hands down, the coolest anyone has ever looked and will ever look whilst playing the trombone. At least I think that’s what that is. Nothing makes sense anymore
I have been followinf for a while now, they are genuine amazing! lie FR everyone is super talented , glad to see leo P . they all ate, but damn boy josh is THE GUY
Ok I absolutely love how the musicians are dancing and the crowd is just standing there with their phones. People! That was sarcasm! When you go to a badass music show like this you are supposed to dance. They are recording it so you don’t have too much
They got a lot of different bass instruments going, really feel the music. However, I feel like they could use a second trumpet. The tromboner is clearly the soloist. He has the chops and then some.

Leo is always the one with the bright hair colors. I don't know anyone else who dances while playing music. Jesus loves you!
There's only one thing I hate about Lucky Chops.....when they stop! Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love you guys!

I'm more impressed by the guy on trombone.
I’ve only been playing for 4 years, but I can tell he’s got some skills!
Clicked for Leo P. Stayed for the awesome arranging and that trombone.
God I love Leo and Lucky Chops and that trombone is STANK. Just absolute hype machines from bottom to top.
Nasty trombone! Love it!
Really wish he was part of Too Many Zooz....that sound would be amazing

Imagine how loud that's gotta be, can be heard for ever. And it's glorious.
I love the energy of trombone-guy with the glasses.
They all have great energy, but he stands out almost as much as Leo.
The trombone was actually hitting that shit hard
He was, and as someone who played trombone all through high school I'll tell you that shit hurts your lips.
This just puts a smile on my face, it's just a bunch of people playing music and having fun

This is amazing. When the trumpet came in, I got goosebumps.
In San Diego, CA no subways but there was this one bridge which had incredible acoustics under it and no one to bother we loved jamming there.
