The fact that they understand each other that well, to play like this completely improv? Definitely more impressive. Although from a kid in marching band, I don’t know how the hell you’d ever go about memorizing a song this long
This is only part improvised. Leo P performed for BBC Proms, and played something very similar. I think he played off of that, changing it slightly and using it intermittently
I dont think it's about the song. Any song that is played with heart feels alive. You guys certainly pulled that off. I just woke up and I was dancing along in my chair! Awesome work!
@@phyllisbarnaby when I say uptight band kids I mean ones that never really progressed past the highschool marching band mindset and apply the same rules to everything with an instrument in it. Adam Neely nice name
Spaghetti Adam and Leo when to the same college, they might even have been in the same class tho that could be wrong
Oh hey hi there adam! Love ur vids
I bet their Highschool football games had the greatest halftime shows, 😂 lol
Juna
Can I join? Lol.
I love how they film it in public raw and the beat just makes you want to get freaky and dance 💃🕺🏼🥁🎷🎺🔊
Yeah its cool. The sound quality suffers a little tho. The echoes makes everything a little muddy. But that comes with the Rawrity.
Saw this video for the first time. Wow. These guys are so awesome and talented. Wish I was on that subway train when they did this.
GM: "You can't have a party of all Bards!"
The party:
4 HH is not to be sneezed at. Oh no.
I kept trying to click the read more...to find there was nothing more.
It's weird how this could techically be said about any band but it just fits to well with these guys.
Bard here. Love it
@@joshboevers7982 underrated comment is underradet
I can never tell what's practiced, and what's improv with these guys. This coming from a loooong time musician. Trumpet/coronet, some percussion, some keyboard and piano, and some guitar. - Always high energy in you music and vids. I dunno how you guys do it, but it's always great energy.
Their whole schtick is that most of what they play is improvised, and honestly I can't tell if that makes it any more or less impressive
These are the 3 guys from high School marching band who used to skip classes to snort coke and smoke weed.
the flightless but dank kiwi except these guys are actually good
Standing With The Band those guys are always inexplicably the best though
i doubt that trumpet player could march very far...
Snorting coke AND smoking weed seems like a waste of at least one of those drugs....
@@lordtyrus1 that's why he skipped
I miss NYC more every time I watch this. These guys were always great. If you heard them on a platform you got off your train to listen.
This entire song needs to be performed in a dystopian sci-fi movie. Right in the middle. No explanation, just let it roll.
NYC IS a dystopian sci-fi movie.
YES, and add some extra BASS to the kick!
I'm thinking it would have its place in a Quentin Dupieux movie
How many hearts does Leo have? His cardio is insane
Who tf is still listening to their own music when these guys are on
FUCK GOOGLE lol nice
the dude doing sound for this video
3 years and this still just makes me unreasonably happy 😁❤❤
I dont think it's about the song. Any song that is played with heart feels alive. You guys certainly pulled that off. I just woke up and I was dancing along in my chair!
Awesome work!
Damn those drum beats by King of Sludge. EPIC!
Doctor Of Death is that you lorance?
The guy with the goggles has real life Wonka vision: thanks for the liles yall😁
or Pyro vision?
bobbob123ful MMMMMMHHHHH MMMHHH!!!!
Wakanda vision!
Thank you for what you contribute to the wonderful world of music. Pure talent on display, folks-few go as hard as this.
This sounds like what would happen if their was a punk movement in 1910
THOTH the most perfect evaluation I've read
That's genius. :)
Nailed it, Nailed it to the fu*king wall.
Hahahaha nice
Too Many Zooz seems like they would make uptight band kids mad on purpose and I love it.
Have you ever met a band kid? These guys are actually a good representation
@@phyllisbarnaby when I say uptight band kids I mean ones that never really progressed past the highschool marching band mindset and apply the same rules to everything with an instrument in it. Ones that would rather stick to the familiar rule book than try new things, when they were supposed to use that rulebook to come up with new ideas. These people are not a representation of that, and that’s why I like it.
@@phyllisbarnaby most band kids get pretty mad when you break “Da Rules” even a little bit
😂🎉😂I’m luving this. Sitting here on the UK bored, scrolling through utube &find this-made my day and put hugest grin across my face. The guy playing drums has me in stitches. ❤this
Re-inventing the traveling road show - one subway stop at a time.
Yoo wait.. did they make the song so that it would sync up perfectly with the train’s schedule??
Probably know when it would turn up, be a few cuts if it kept getting delayed 🤙
Yes. Yes they did.
Subway runs 24-7 here. Pretty easy to hit one.
pretty sure that was free jazz lol
They play brasshouse which is entirely improvised so they could just going at it till they reach a stop
You know I purchased an Alto Sax all thanks to that guy. I practice almost everyday.
I've been playing clari for about 6 years and am also considering getting a sax because of this lmao
Get a baritone...that's what he's got. It's bigger and heavier but it's versatile. You play lead and base when you need to. I used to play that in the band. It's wicked
@@gilbertoherrera8912 had budget constraints. But hopefully in the future may look for a tenor
Because of the one that plays trumpet
Isnt it a baritone?
I take it that you guys are morning people. Awesome video, I cannot believe how packed the train was LOL.
Damn I didn't know the Energizer bunny had two brothers, great goddamn music man
Tacti-cool Tuba yo they should deffo do an energizer add

Notice even though that shits Loud as hell NYers appreciate GOOD musicians! Nobody was overtly pissed haha
better then having a homeless guy follow you for 4 blocks yelling scripture at you lol
What SMG said. I would prefer a bunch of funky guys over some person who might assault me lol
but i do feel bad for the guy on the left in the headphones at 4:40, he seems to have his cat with him in a carrier, who was likely totally freaked out.
@@MsGrandunion I think that's actually their sound guy! I don't think that's a cat carrier (though it does look like one) but actually the equipment that's recording the mic audio and he's monitoring it live.
@@MsGrandunion also by the looks of it. Those may be open back headphones. Which means that they let the sound in completely. They could be closed back, I just know they are by AKG
😂Hey guys!!!
I love you and kiss you and hope for you three more pleasure with brass house music. 😊❤❤❤
Finding new music is such a gift. This is incredible.
I just discovered these guys through a reddit post a week ago. I'm kinda sad that, at age 70, that I probably won't have decades to enjoy the music they produce. But happy that I had the chance, and learned their names. Got to be a daily thing from now on though!
