    I have the same issue. I'm 6 foot 2 with a 34 inseam. Size 13 foot. I run a 2015 650xt, but only use it for the highway. I lived in NYC for a while and the roads there were pretty beaten up. I've seen sport bikes and other non-reinforced rimed bikes shatter/warp from monstrous potholes. I thought getting the reinforced rims would be a smart idea. Anyway, I love the bike, but it destroys my back. I have to dance around the seat every 20 miles or so to stop the flaming pain.
    I'm going to try getting this foot lowering kit along with a gel seat. If that doesn't work it was recommended to me to move the handlebars forward, so I have to lean more. Also, that an ATV's straight bars may be better for the wrist position.

    Great video. Very clear. I have a new 2022 and have 2k miles on it and have been wondering about it. I was going to ask if it makes real difference but you already covers that. Looks like it lowers about an inch? Thx.

      Glad it helped! Yes, it lowers about an inch and moves it forward slightly too.

    Isn't the gear leaver touching the side stand ?

    • @1LiterADV
      @1LiterADV  10 місяців тому

      No, it’s behind it, closer to the inside of the bike.

    I did have an additional question. Now that you’ve lowered the foot pegs, did you put the original warning thingy (that warns you that you’re going to drag the center stand) back underneath the footpegs? The shorter one?

    • @1LiterADV
      @1LiterADV  2 роки тому

      Not entirely sure which part you are referring to. But I was able to put back all the footpeg components. Nothing got left out. I can't confirm if the 2022 V-Strom 1050 has additional parts in the footpegs.

      Thanks. So i noticed that you have a “sensor” sticking down toward the ground under the foot peg (it’s a little bar, that in my case, I had to add when I added a center stand to the vstrom 650. The 650 comes with a shorter one when you buy the bike without a center stand . It serves to hit the ground on a sharp turn before your center stand does - as a warning that you’re close to hitting the center stand) I think you’re saying that you left that alone and didn’t put a shorter one on. That’s all I was wondering about. Thx!

      That makes sense. Yes, you are correct, we didn't change the metal slider.

    I’m curious, can you tell if there is any flex when you are riding off road with this lowering kit

    • @1LiterADV
      @1LiterADV  Рік тому

      Good question. There is absolutely no flex. The adapter links are very strong!

    What size shoe are you?

      The Gaerne boot I was wearing is a size 11, but I normally wear size 12. It's a pretty large boot, overall.
