WOW. That was AMAZING! Gret build I love the ideas you have and will use some of them for my future builds! PS - I had the same problem with cutting the mesh screen, If you use "Aviation Snips" or "Tin Snips" my gosh it makes a HUGE difference. They also have Neumatic Aviation snips but i just use the hand ones and its not so bad!
@@madmakerreptile8294 yeh maybe tin is different than Aviation but in telling u AVIATION is like cutting thru paper lol I cut 18 gauge with em no problem
Nice build, enjoying to watch all the way to the end! Iam going to build something similar but with more floor space for my (soon to be here) group of Sand Lizards. Nice shout out to Kamp Kenan, love his videos too! Greetings from Germany! :)
Thanks for watching and the kind words. Good luck on your build and with your new sand lizards. Super cool lizards! We don't see them very often in the states. Kenen is the man! 👍🏻
I am a firm believer that if you're going to have pets, you need to give them a great home. I applaud you, Madmaker Reptile. Great job. So considerate, as it should be.
Bro.....Not only are you an intuitive genius, but you are an absolute artist. You painted a picture with your words and the end results was a beautiful masterpiece 👏🏽
I wish i could do the same unfortunatle the weather here its only good im summer, anyways pretty nice build u got there for sure the lizards will love to get natural heat and light
Unfortunately I also only have favorable weather in the summer. A little in late spring and early fall too. My guys have to be moved in and out seasonally. I still feel like it's worth it. Thanks for your comment!
I think Aussi's would do great in a setup like mine. I have seen that lots of people living in Australia do it. Should be great as long as you're local climate allows. Thanks for the comment 👍
Awesome. In AR little colder just got my 6x12 going to spend the winter setting it up. Like the pond going to go bigger. Got 2 Nile monitors he's getting huge
Awesome! You and your monitors will love it. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or just want to bounce ideas with along the way. Thanks for your comment 👍
Not a stupid question. Thanks for asking it. The plywood skirt around the bottom does several things. It me from hitting the wire mesh with a lawn mower or weed wacker, it creates a visual barrier when the animals are on the ground preventing them from thinking they can just walk out onto the grass and it gives them a greater sense of security when on the ground or in the pond.
Thanks! It's gotten too cold and I've brought them indoors now. Can't wait for spring time next year. I'll get a lot of use out of it then. Thanks for your comment 👍
I couldn't find your comment anywhere under my video, so I'll have to respond here because omg! What an awesome video and setup, I absolutely love sailfin dragons! Subbed!😘
@@mcwendel8066 Lol! That's so funny that you asked that question! As we speak, the female has been digging like crazy in their indoor enclosure (still too cold to put them outside yet). Like all day long and I've been wondering if I should have done more in the outdoor enclosure. I will probably dig up the stones and get some wire mesh under them before I put them out. Thanks for the comment!
No. The material I used, known as pressure treated, is designed to be used in wet conditions. Sealants may be necessary as a matter of upkeep as time goes on. Thanks for your comment 👍
It's not. I considered driving steel steaks into the ground and bolting them to the enclosure but ultimately didn't. Wouldn't be a bad idea though. Thanks
Thats some fine work, looks completely worth the effort! Good inspiration for myself with much needed upgrades to sort out. Have you tried your Chinese Water Dragons in there yet?
Thanks Jordan! Absolutely worth the effort and money for sure! My Chinese Water Dragons haven't had any time in it yet. Y don't want to make enclosure changes too quickly or frequently so they may have to wait until next Spring. We'll see... Thanks for the comments and kind words. 👊

Angle grinder with a metal cut off blade for the wire mesh.
Wow! Kinda amazed I didn't think of that. I think that would be great. Thanks for the idea! 👊

awesome work!

How much did this cost in material minus the pond in the bottom. Looking for a nice place for my corn snakes to have an outside safe place!
About $1000 usd total, maybe $200 of that in the pond. So 800? That was pretty cov though. Probably more now
Pretty sweet enclosure!! I don’t know anything about sailfins but I’m assuming you aren’t concerned about them digging underneath?
Oh never mind, after watching I can see there’s a good chance that those lizards are not moving those stones.
