My adult male used to submerge for almost 40 mins sometimes...It used to scare me half to death. If something startles them in the wild ,they take the plunge ,plenty of time for a hungry predator to loose interest My adult green iguana used to do the same in the pond ,but for like 10 mins max quite amusing to watch :) Nice viv dude /10/10
@@madmakerreptile8294 i wonder if it reminds them of the womb lol ,yeah i so agree that they do it for no apparent reason ,joys of being a water dragonthen i guess eyyy lol .
Funny mines sleep at night under water but the small nostrils is above the water. I thought she do it for body temperature. I was just looking at her now, the tank is 73.6. but i figure it could be the mist. But she first started doing it when I added a lot of crickets to the tank and i thought she didn't like them crawling on her or something
My male often sleeps in the water. Too. He'll do it for a while and then stop. I have no explanation for it... I used to feed crickets years ago and the lizards would hide from them when I put too many in at once. Makes sense.
