There are even people that I used to go shooting with (before COVID ammunition prices) that are big into concealed handgun rights that openly say they are Democrats. It makes no sense, if you want a government that is about less regulations and small government you have to vote for that.
First seen you in an interview with Court from ElectricBikeReview. It was about 4 - 5 years ago, right around the start of the NYC e-bike revolution, I have to agree you looked very nervous and not very happy about how things were going during the interview. Now, after following this channel (being a fan of RIESE & MULLER) I saw an increase of enthusiasm and you made a lot of progress. I am so happy for that and I wish you all the best.
Chris, you are breaking barriers and filling the gaps. As a fellow disabled veteran and former bike snob the value you are adding at the grass roots level can't be underestimated. While I applaud advocacy groups, you are literally taking it to the streets and getting people on bikes. That is powerful and long lasting. It builds community and a movement with action instead of just talk. Major hat tip.
I was quite shocked to hear your story. I wasn't aware that the legality of ebikes was an issue. I live in London and we have not come across this problem. But thanks for highlighting it and good for you that you fought it and won your case. Rightly so. I really enjoy all the content on your channel and all the helpful reviews - which converted me to ebikes.
Thanks! It was quite a challenge, but I'm glad we are through it. Now we are on to new challenges. I'm really looking forward to getting an opportunity to visit London sometime soon.
In the UK things are legal until a court ruling sets a precedent. So this wasn't an issue and the gov quickly applied EU laws. Such as 16mph speed limit
Thanks for sharing this story. The common thread I see is vilifying any transportation that isn't cars. Ignoring hundreds of car deaths daily but instead focusing on the one bike-pedestrian death in years, or even victim blaming bicyclists hit by cars. The law just needs to chill the **** out.
It is pretty wild to see how that stuff rolls out, but I guess most people aren't into venturing into the unknown, and for most motorists in the US bikes and other forms are transportation are in that category. I think eBikes help expose more people to the possibilities outside of the car. It certainly did that for me.
Hey chris, your a really good person who has helped many, including myself when i called u for help with my ebike 5 years ago,u had a good vision on ebikes like a early amozon stock..I've been into ebikes since 2009, my first one being a prodeco 200w ebike purchased from amozon in 2010..12 ebikes later,at 66 im still riding my ebikes and electric scooters every day,and was praying for the day they became legal with your vision and the help of the city council..you need to get a award for being the king of ebikes in the state of New your...thank you for your vision and i pray your business thrives 1000% now that ebikes are so popular and everywhere on the streets of new york now...bless you...🤗
Also, shout out to the other chris from electric bike reviews on youtube,he is the best also who has brought ebikes reviews to the world on his platform...he was the first in his field to do so and he deserves an award also...shoutout from Brooklyn..
The biggest problem with Ebikes (I can't speak for NYC as I've never lived there, but in a lot of areas) is that they're too fast for bike lanes, too slow for car lanes. I can usually keep up with the ebikes in the bike lane on my pedals-only Schwinn in campus because there are so many more normal bikes going 10ish mph in the bike lane. The cars in the lane over are doing about 35-doable on an Ebike, but not one that's legal (class 1/2). If I elecrify this Al Comp, it's getting a Cyclone because I'd rather just go all the way to motor vehicle speed. (edit: the other being the inane cost of the motors and batteries. When a Zeda 80 2-stroke would cost me ~200, a questionable hub motor costs about that, something reputable twice as much. and then the battery is like 400 on top of that. Cycling isn't going to replace cars until a ~300 walmart bike comes with an ebike motor)
You are a great advocate for the e-bike industry. Creating a firm legal precedent for this transportation mode will be a net benefit on our society and our planet. I am hoping to own an e-bike myself and promote cycling for people of different means and ability in my community in Chicago.
I knew nothing about legal precedent before getting into this, but I learned quite a bit by just jumping in as I do with most things. We never know how our actions can impact others. We just do the best we can and hopefully collectively we can do some great things! I've never been to Chicago, but I would love to visit sometime.
Chris - I’ve been following you here for years. Just wanted to say thank you for all you’ve done for the eBike industry, and of course the sacrifices you’ve made for your country. When I can afford an R&M, I’m heading straight to Propel!
Thanks for keeping it up! I moved to NYC 2 years ago from Europe. I'm following you since I started to research the whole e-bike legality. I thought, if there is a shop, it can't be illegal. Thanks for being an advocate. You are making a huge change.
I would definitely like to see more of these kinds of videos. I think this is a great story to look back on. You should be very proud of how you believed in something enough to take on what you knew would be a tough challenge, and you made it work. It shows that you deserve the successes you’ve had since.
Thanks Chris! I really appreciate the support I get from people like yourself. You'd be surprised how something as small as seeing a familiar name in the comments can go a long way. I don't take anything for granted, but I'm really grateful for what I have.
We appreciate you and everything you do to promote the use of e-bikes. There are so many misunderstandings about e-bikes here in Europe and the only way we are going to disabuse the minds of those who see e-bikes as cheating or dangerous or unnecessary is by having people like you championing the cause. I've been using pedal assisted e-bikes for almost 5 years and it has changed my life both physically and mentally for the better. A few years back, especially pre-pandemic, I used to see only a handful of e-bikes on my daily rides but now almost half of the bikes I see are e-bikes. I can't wait for the day when we have solid state batteries which I think would be a game changer both for e-bikes and EVs. You're an awesome guy. Keep up the good work.
Really appreciate your commitment Chris. You know I was triggered by you for my first ebike purchase last year. Your evangelizing the subject has wider effects than you may appreciate. Power on!
Chris - first off thank you for your service to our country, I have been following you for a few years and really appreciate your mild manner approach to ebikes and helping to spread the message about them in educating the public. I just hope to see the prices of some of the high-end bikes become more affordable for the masses as I would love to own a Riese and Muller someday!
Thanks! It means a lot for me to hear this. I used to get down on myself that I wasn't as excitable as some other UA-camrs, but I think it's best to just be yourself. I would also love to see the prices on eBikes come down more. I'm optimistic that we will see that more in the future as the scale grows and we move out of this supply slump.
Great story! I feel like electric bikes are in their infancy, especially in the United States. It’s great to get the backstory about the trials and tribulations that you needed to go through to get this young industry up and running.
Thanks! I have really enjoyed hearing the stories of how others industries got their start and they have been inspiring to me. I'm happy to share some of my stories of how I'm seeing things unfold in my little piece of the industry.
Great story Chris. You're a pioneer for e-bikes! Thanks for your advocacy and thank goodness the bike industry advocacy organization, People for Bikes, is taking the lead across the country to standardize the laws for Class 1, 2, and 3 e-bikes. A lot of progress has been made but there is still a lot of room for improvement.
I couldn’t do it without support of people like you Rob! That’s the reality! And we are super grateful for People for Bikes! They are really leading the way!
I loved the story. As always another great video. I enjoy my e -Bike very much. Thank you for all you have done to make this a great sport to do. I personally would love to hear more.
Chris - great video keep them coming. Purchased my R&M in 2016 - over 5k miles so far and loving it. Appreciated you, Propel, and all your support. A real life saver during covid. Thanks for your service and your business!!
Good for you Chris...glad you felt able to finally get that out in the open...you will feel a lot better for sharing it! Unfortunately these kind of things are there to try us and are inevitably part of the fetid morass of bureaucracy!.... keep up the good work..best wishes!
When you first opened, I was living in Bath Beach and having to get to Chinatown, before 6 AM for work, with unreliable mta, so I had given e-bikes a thought. It was precisely the ambiguity of the law that gave me pause. I would be biking 5 days a week, sometimes 7, and what would happen if I got stopped. Glad you stuck it out! Now it's a very popular mode of transport. I'm in Bayside now, and I do the e-bike from Bayside to Chinatown!
@@krislarsen6546 Generally when fines are issued, you are only signing to acknowledge that you are aware that you were fined, just like on a traffic stop, you're not signing that you're guilty just acknowledging that some officer didn't just make something up and you really were presented with the charge in person and if you refuse they arrest you so that they have proof that you were presented with the charge. Without that, someone could just say "the cop is lying, I wasn't even there, you must have me confused with someone else".
Thank You, Thank You, and Thank You for your Service! I am a Disabled Veteran as well and after riding motorcycles, for 65 years I purchased my first EBike. Getting the bike was a compromise for me after having open-heart surgery and total knee replacement on both knees. I broke my back in Vietnam, was assigned to an Infantry Platoon, and came home with a permanent disability. EBikes are a GOD send for my daily exercise. I have seen where most bikes say that they will go 28mph, but believe me, I have been up to 43mph on level ground. Thank You for pioneering ebike legality in NYC. Now we have to figure out how to keep them from being stolen. I love your video's, keep them coming!
First, thank you for service and sacrifice! Second, thankful there are real people like you willing to stand for not only what they believe but what is right! It’s so unfortunate that the Ebike issue obviously was politicized and that it took a major player for it to change overnight. 🤦♂️ Congratulations for leading from the front on it and sticking with it. Now I know where I’m purchasing my next Ebike from!
Thank you! I really appreciate your comment and it is really unfortunate that it takes a major player to make changes, I guess that's the way the world works. I do think that we helped to shape the conversation. I think part of the power of mediums like the internet and UA-cam are to amplify the voices of smaller players. I guess that's one of the things that I really love about the Web!
Chris, your style & content of information about ebikes & anything having to do with ebike rules & regulations is always very helpful & valuable. So, absolutely YES, please do keep presenting your videos exactly how you’ve been doing them!! They are all 100% worth watching!! •••And, thank you for your Service in the Military!! You are very much appreciated for doing that!! And, I’m super excited to be visiting your Long Beach California store this month👍🏻!!
Much appreciated Sonia! Thank you for taking your time to comment and I hope you enjoy the store! I'm in NY atm, but I'm sure my team will take great care of you! I look forward to sharing more of these stories soon for sure!
Chris, first off thank you for your service ! You have great morals and I’m happy that you have done things the right way and fought for what is right. If it weren’t for folks like you that are pushing the envelope and asking questions and getting things straightened out many things would never get done. The world needs to change and ebikes are here to stay and are doing good things for peoples health and also the planet. I enjoy your videos and yes this was very informative for your to be sharing, also loved the videos you shared of how the ebike world is around the world and just how far behind the US is.
Hi Chris, Fascinating story. Thanks for your candor and bravery in sharing. So is there now a specific law stating that pedal assist bikes are legal to ride in New York? Also, I live in California and my e bike has both pedal assist & throttle. Do the laws vary from state to state/ city to city?
Vary based on state. Also the case here in Australia, each state here has its own jurisdiction & although there may be standards including an 'eu' (European) standard we reference, our states write their laws independently. In our state throttles are not permitted on ebikes but the E scooters can have them. Off road anything goes.
Interesting story, Chris. It's fascinating to see how things begin and evolve and you showed a lot of foresight and care when you decided not to sell ebikes with throttles. And great patience wading through the legalities of motorized vehicles. I usually only last half a paragraph of those sort of documents before the onset of coma!
Thank you for sharing your amazing story! It’s very sad (sinful) that the city didn’t do any homework about the situation and didn’t support your (small businessman’s) efforts! Way to hang in there! 😎👍🏻
By exposing your experiences to the public, you’re writing history and by doing so, you’re ensuring the next generation knows how important pioneer’s efforts like you were. Good work, Happy riding from Canada.
Your hard work has made NYC better. I’m trying my best to convince bureaucrats in Melbourne to improve bicycle infrastructure. We’re decades behind The Netherlands.
Came over from Louis' channel to hear your compelling story and your passion for eBikes. Good luck with your business Chris and congrats on your precedent-setting legal victory from a lawyer in Ontario, Canada!
I have a throttle on mine. And it's a great feature. I'm old and injured and sometimes throttle is the way to go for me. If I feel good. I pedal. Lose a few pounds. I think speed limit is a more important criteria.
Very interesting story. I consider you a hero for getting the law changed. Please continue to share. NY seems to have it out for businesses. It's a sad shame on them. Lewis Rossman sent me here!
Thanks for your service to our country, and thanks for your pioneering efforts in promoting ebikes. I am on my third ebike. This technology allows me to continue to ride frequently through the hilly countryside of Tennessee. I consider the aerobic workout provided by my bike to be an important contributor to my health....and it is FUN!
Hi, I am viewer of Louis Rossmann. He gave the audience a hint of looking at your story. I´am not a New Yorker, I don't even live on your continent. Nice to hear that the story came out to a "good" ending. Perhaps in the future I will be able to take a ride threw good old New York on a pedal assisted ebike. Greetings from the north of Germany, the nearly "(e)bike heaven" in europe. CU
You are a pioneer! great story. Also, from one vet (UK) to another - total respect to you. `didn't know that until you mentioned it. Keep up the good work.
Great story Chris, I'm so glad you stood up for yourself. Things will be more favorable in time, people will demand it to be so. Also, with the proposed 30% tax rebate, your store is going to be inundated with newcomers. Wishing you the best Brother. ☮️
Well done Chris. Not many would have had the courage to keep going. You are, what entrepreneurship is all about. More stories about your business would certainly be of interest to me and I think many of your viewers. I just bought my second ebike and I'm 68.I love it and I love watching your videos. Next time I'm in NYC I'm coming in to say hello.
I think if you find something you're passionate about and it's about more than just making money getting through these tough times becomes a lot easier. I definitely wouldn't have been able to stick this out to sell luggage like I used to. I definitely have plenty more stories like this to share though, so I look forward to sharing them. We definitely welcome you to say hey when you're in NYC, just gotta make an appointment these days because of Covid, but hopefully we can let up on that a bit soon.
Your story is really courageous. I appreciate the fact that you have shared your ebike / life experiece story. I really understood your comment about it "being your purpose." Please continue to share more of your experiences.
Very interesting story! I still feel that my right to ride it can be confiscated in NYC. I ‘d like to hear more stories about the legal developments of the status of ebikes. I heard electric bikes are now banned on west side bike path. I need to check on that.
Thank you for what you have done, and what you did. Its hard for someone to fight with the system but you prevail. You deserve some credit. I used to spend a lot of time in queens and would ride my bike to Brooklyn, good times for sure.
Very interesting, I’ve been going through the same struggles. Keep it coming, be Bold. You should of been bold from the beginning, Federal Law supersedes their NY bureaucracy
Great story! I'm glad you told it! I just wish other cyclist understood what a game changer E-bikes can be.... I also hope non-cyclist understand the benefits of having e-bikes instead of so many cars on the road
Very different story, very well said . Living in Europe we take things like for granted. I can’t imagine the hefty fine imposed on your technicality. So glad you solved it. Your other videos about the safety with the E-bikes just show how well you convey the message to the viewers. I was so fascinated and watched all of it with great interest even though i am more of a MTB person going on dirt tracks than city bike. Keep the great work. You are a treat to watch.
Fascinating story, my partner and I are learning and building our knowledge of e-bikes as we're seeking a secondary transportation source for our overland truck build. I stumbled on your channel and must say it has been super informative and helpful to date; it was nice to find this video, and glad to have watched it. It gives context to you and your brand and endorses your knowledge and advice. One day we get to the USA and maybe one day pop into a Propel store; thanks for sharing your passion (all the way over here in New Zealand)
I love the stories! We almost bought a throttle bike then we bought an electric assist one and I love it. I’ve actually had multiple accidents with throttle bikes and scooters in the past. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for sharing the story. Love to hear more stories like this. I purchased the Load 75 last year in the UK and without your videos on cargo bikes, that would have never happened. Keep up the great work!
Yes definitely interested to hear more of these kind of things. This is a good story, not because of the hassel and bullying you experinced from some incompetent business department but because you stood your ground and fought and won. e bikes are so cool for people in so many ways and for the city and our planet.
In the midst of it as with many difficult situations it seemed there was no way out, but what I have found pretty consistently is patience and persistence can go a long way.
@@Propelbikes I can relate to this completely, I wish you every success for the future. I belive that these products are the future for alot of our transport needs and your certainly in the right city for a strong business. Good luck my friend.👊
Thank you, very interesting, glad you did/were able to stick with it. I really like your reviews and would be interested in more e-bike culture discussions. Cheers
Thanks Paul! I will definitely work on integrating more of that in future videos. Let me know if there are any particular topics around eBike culture which would be interesting to you.
Great Ebike history New York story well told, as a longtime Pacific northwest Ebiker. I had heard the horror stories of E bikes in New York being confiscated. Thanks for sharing.
@@Propelbikes Like yourself I am passionate about the future of ebikes. Currently I am working for one of the UK's biggest retailers of bike related gear but really my dream would be to be part of the independent e-bike revolution that is taking place. Although in my fifty's now if you ever plan to open a store in the UK I would be very interested in being part of that.
E-bikes has been a touchy issue nationally because there was no law banning it but no laws supporting it, complicating things is the lack of uniform standards for lawmaking on the subject. What doesn't make sense is the DOT law (at least in my state) says if it's 50cc or goes faster than 30mph, it is considered a motorcycle and must be registered as such but states refuse to use this simple language as a standard to classify emoto devices.
It can be a little weird when you gotta explain to the enforcement what the law is. I guess that shows that knowledge is power. The Load is a personal favorite as I'm sure you already know ;)
Great video! Your title attracted me as I was concerned that some fine that I couldn't imagine at 25,000 was going to close your business. It sounded ridiculous so I was glad to hear your story. At one point about 10 years ago I was going to start an ebike sales store in South St. Paul, MN. It's interesting to hear your struggle and so glad you took it to court. I hope you came out at no financial loss since you won the case, which to me seemed so unfair. It should be the opposite with you getting positive incentive aid to start your business (big corporations get huge breaks) as ebikes is an important part of the paradigm shift the world desperately needs to make. It is a great cause for humanity! Sorry you had to take so much time and effort to struggle with poorly designed laws. You are the courageous vanguard of change. Thanks for your story and for all you do for a better world!
No, that bureaucrat was not just doing his job. That excuse is no longer acceptable since the Nuremberg trials. He did not even know the law. So he should have gone back to his office and researched , and convince his evil agency, and have his agency work for the people to change the law for what is obviously beneficial to people and consumers. What good is government when it always works against the people.
Great point Hart! I wish they would follow these guidelines, bit the reality is they don't. Hopefully the more it's in the public the less likely this will continue.
Hi Chris, Have not talked to you in quite a while, but still enjoying my ebike you set me up with. Also, shout out to the other chris from electric bike reviews on youtube,he is the best also who has brought ebikes reviews to the world on his platform...he was the first in his field to do so and he deserves an award also...shoutout from Brooklyn..
I can't help wondering if those fines weren't prompted by someone in the oil or auto industries.
I totally agree 👍
Chris - I’ve been following you here for years. Just wanted to say thank you for all you’ve done for the eBike industry, and of course the sacrifices you’ve made for your country. When I can afford an R&M, I’m heading straight to Propel!
Thank you so much! It's been quite the wild ride. We definitely appreciate the support. Super excited for what's to come.
Me too.
Louis Rossmann just featured your channel in one of his videos. You have been blessed.
Much appreciated! I sure do feel blessed!
I found this video via Louis Rossmann. I'm an expat New Yorker, and I really appreciate what you've done and are doing. Thank you.
Awesome! Thank you!
Thanks for keeping it up! I moved to NYC 2 years ago from Europe. I'm following you since I started to research the whole e-bike legality. I thought, if there is a shop, it can't be illegal. Thanks for being an advocate. You are making a huge change.
Thanks! Yeah I was basically treated like a drug dealer in those days. I'm grateful that we were able to see it through though.
Meanwhile Casey was tearing up the place on a boosted board with a huge camera in his hand .....
Really appreciate your commitment Chris. You know I was triggered by you for my first ebike purchase last year. Your evangelizing the subject has wider effects than you may appreciate. Power on!
Super cool Andrew! Always great to hear these stories. I hope you feel that it's been a positive addition to your life!
Electric bikes are probably older than petrol cars... but people... people are stupid. :(
Great story Chris.
Very much appreciated! I’m excited about the growth of eBikes worldwide! I will try to share more of these stories soon
Chris, we love and appreciate you man. YES PLEASE, we want more stories!
Thanks! I have a lot of love for all those that helped make this possible as well. It's a challenge, but it's a lot of fun. More stories coming soon.
Chris - great video keep them coming. Purchased my R&M in 2016 - over 5k miles so far and loving it. Appreciated you, Propel, and all your support. A real life saver during covid. Thanks for your service and your business!!
Hey Chas! Hope you’re doing well! Thanks for your support!
Hello from Canada! Louis sent us this way to hear your story. Good for you for not putting up with their crap! Hope business is booming.
Thanks! I appreciate the support! Things are moving in the right direction for sure.
Good for you Chris...glad you felt able to finally get that out in the open...you will feel a lot better for sharing it! Unfortunately these kind of things are there to try us and are inevitably part of the fetid morass of bureaucracy!.... keep up the good work..best wishes!
who else is here from Louis Rossmann
me
Can I overclock the e-bikes and create a nuke like a microwave is the real question.
Yup
Me👍🏻
Yep!
Another great video. I love hearing the history. I’m grateful for the solid work you do to grow the ebike culture, and thank you for your service! 🙏🏼
Thanks David!
Thank you for your service, contribution and thank you for not giving up for all of us. You're a true HERO!
Awww thanks! I don't think I earned that title, but I do appreciate your support!
FWIW I found this story meaningful, important, interesting, and entertaining ! Thanks for sharing, Chris.
Thanks for watching and commenting! It does mean a lot to me. Looking forward to sharing more in the future!
Bravo Chris . Sorry to hear that you had a tough time . You deserve good . I see so many channels on e biking but there’re no one as pure as you .
I think the inspector needs to be investigated as I suspect they have an agenda considering they thought they could bully shops into closure or fines
Seriously. Right
@@Propelbikes yeah trying to intimate him into paying to sign it is illegal......period
@@krislarsen6546 Yep, that sounds extremely sketchy. Of course you have the right not to accept a fine, and instead letting the courts decide
Thanks a bunch Bill! Thanks for your service and welcome home my friend! Stay safe our there!
@@Propelbikes I couldn’t agree more! Congratulations again and thank you!
And, I’m super excited to be visiting your
Long Beach California store this month👍🏻!!
Much appreciated Sonia! Thank you for taking your time to comment and I hope you enjoy the store! I'm in NY atm, but I'm sure my team will take great care of you! I look forward to sharing more of these stories soon for sure!
You seem like a great guy! Credit to your backbone and standing up for yourself. Hate business tycoons that try an f*ck over other people
Chris, first off thank you for your service !
Hi Chris,
Fascinating story.
Jumped over here from Rossman's video. Glad I found you. I love ebikes and scooters!
Much appreciated Andy!
Thank you for sharing your amazing story! It’s very sad (sinful) that the city didn’t do any homework about the situation and didn’t support your (small businessman’s) efforts! Way to hang in there! 😎👍🏻
Louis Rossmann sent me to say hi. Keep up the awesome work!
Much appreciated!
@@Propelbikes rooting for you, brother!
By exposing your experiences to the public, you’re writing history and by doing so, you’re ensuring the next generation knows how important pioneer’s efforts like you were.
Good work,
Happy riding from Canada.
Very much appreciate this Remi!
Your hard work has made NYC better. I’m trying my best to convince bureaucrats in Melbourne to improve bicycle infrastructure. We’re decades behind The Netherlands.
You just gotta keep on pushing and take it one small step at a time.
Did you mean CENTURIES ?
Came over from Louis' channel to hear your compelling story and your passion for eBikes. Good luck with your business Chris and congrats on your precedent-setting legal victory from a lawyer in Ontario, Canada!
I have a throttle on mine. And it's a great feature. I'm old and injured and sometimes throttle is the way to go for me. If I feel good. I pedal. Lose a few pounds.
I think speed limit is a more important criteria.
I have to agree with the last sentence. Speed limits and general behavior are more important.
Super cool Michael! Sounds like you're having fun and improving your health so you can't beat that!
Waves from Knoxville.👋
Thanks Chris. People like you make this world a better place!
Thanks Jim! I couldn't have done it alone.
Just dropping by from Louis Rossmann's recommendation, great work.
Awesome, thank you!
@@Propelbikes response got you a sub. 👍
Dude, ... had a lot of respect for you already, but this takes it to another level. Thank you so much for what you have done to fight the good fight.
CU
Thanks! I have spent a lot of time in north Germany and it is pretty awesome! Looking forward to returning again when it's safe.
Very much appreciated Stephen! There are definitely some interesting times ahead!
Louise Rossmann sent me here from his video. I like your story. I would love to see you two in a video about ebikes
Maybe one day! It would be interesting to discuss the right to repair issue in our industry.
Chris, thank you for serving our country and sharing your story! I don't have Propel bike yet but definitely saving for one!
Much appreciated!
Heard your story on rossmans channel. I look forward to watching your content.
Welcome aboard! I'm really grateful for Louis!
Yeah the West Side Path is a real bummer. Maybe we need to do some investigating and reporting on this topic.
Thank you for what you have done, and what you did. Its hard for someone to fight with the system but you prevail. You deserve some credit.
I used to spend a lot of time in queens and would ride my bike to Brooklyn, good times for sure.
I appreciate that
Thank you so much for your endeavour, very decent, more power to your elbow
Thanks! I just learned a new phrase and I thank you for that!
You helped many people inside and outside NYC for taking this fight forward. Thanks and best wishes for your business! Respect!
As a Viet Nam era Vet thank you for your service Chris.
Thank you for your service and as we like to say, because it wasn't said enough... welcome home!
I'm now deep diving into your channel as you are a lovely genuine bloke.
Much appreciated! Enjoy!
Just came here from Louis and subbed. Many thanks and clear skies
Thanks!
Thanks Mark! I totally agree!
Just got refer by Louis Rossmann, keep up the good work & greetings from Belgium
Thanks! Much appreciated!
I have to admit I had you pegged wrong. Thank you for being an awesome human and teaching me to always be humble and not go by first impressions.
Good lad yourself. Yes more . We want to hear everything 👍😎🚴♂️
Thanks! Much appreciated! I hope to tell some more of these stories soon. Let me know if there are any topics you'd like to hear more about.
I can see why you've got a successful business as you're very grounded. Keep up the reviews and stories.
Thanks Blaine! It’s not perfect, but it’s definitely coming along
I love the stories! We almost bought a throttle bike then we bought an electric assist one and I love it. I’ve actually had multiple accidents with throttle bikes and scooters in the past. Thank you for sharing!
Just subbed Louis Rossman sent me I'm in Massachusetts and we got some weird regulations too 😅
Hey! I heard you have some strange laws up there. Sometimes we need to push to get them changed. It's definitely not easy though.

Great Ebike history New York story well told, as a longtime Pacific northwest Ebiker. I had heard the horror stories of E bikes in New York being confiscated. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching and commenting!
Hey chris, I have a r & M delete in the uk and i am really proud of the lengths you have gone to. I would love to be part of your network
Thanks Nigel! I really appreciate it! I am hoping to visit the UK sometime soon, maybe we can have a meetup!
It's definitely a challenge! We just need to keep pushing!
Law enforcement that doesn’t know what the law is?!
What a shocker lol 😂
Saving up for the R&M Load 75 because of your videos, keep up the good work 👍
It can be a little weird when you gotta explain to the enforcement what the law is. I guess that shows that knowledge is power. The Load is a personal favorite as I'm sure you already know ;)
@@Propelbikes Yes I’ve seen a lot of that. I can see why, it literally replaces a car for most scenarios. Cheers from Australia 😁
Yes, many don’t want to see that happen
@@Propelbikes hopefully with good people like you it will become the majority riding these bikes 😁
Very Thankful for your commitment and perseverance in the education and common sense you
have been providing to the benefits of having and using ebikes. Great story of life experiences, keep them coming. Thanks
