I had no idea how this would be remove but after watching your video you made it extremely easy. Now the right one in the same color is the one that I have to remove but I’m having a hard time finding the light gray one. Found the dark gray but that’s not the one I need. You wouldn’t happen to haven’t the right one would you?? Thanks for the video.
Joe, the horn quit working when the left side button broke, the R-side still worked. The L-side works now with the new button installed. Check for a blown fuse/bad horn if neither side works after the repair. Thanks for watching!!
Emma, It's always best to play it safe by disconnecting the battery. However, I left it hooked up for this video. Keep working on stuff & thanks for watching!!
Reinaldo Rosa Gerena , I got the new part at Mark Mclarty Honda in Little Rock, Arkansas 1 year ago . Seems like it was around $30 but don't quote me on that, anywayz it didn't seem very expensive at the time. Hope this helps & thanks for watching!!
WARNING always disconnect the negative battery terminal before removing the steering wheel / airbag. When removing the steering wheel / airbag, you run the risk of setting off the airbag.
Hello. I have a '99 Civic whose horn only works sometimes... I hear the relay's clicking noises when I press the buttons on the steering wheel. I bought another horn at a junkyard, thinking it was the horn, but it turned out not to be, as both work hooked up to a battery... What could it be? Help would be appreciated from anyone...
@@bgivco, thanks for your reply. I wish I could figure this out without taking it to an auto electrician who'll just charge me an arm and a leg... Also, a good professional is hard to find, where I live... I'll keep you posted.
This video was extremely helpful! Both buttons on my 1996 Honda Civic LX are gone. I'm gonna try a picknpull and do this myself!
Trinity, glad the video helped, thanks for watching!!
Where can i buy switch buttons?
Good video, rare good quick info.

67herby, sorry I can't help you out with a button, good luck, keep working on stuff & thanks for watching!!!!!!!!
@@bgivco no worries thanks for replying. I’m going to a local junk yard tomorrow morning so I hope I have some luck. Again a big thank you bud!!
Did your horn stop working after the button broke ?? And did that fix it? Mine came broke and wont honk

@@bgivco My fuse is okay, my horn is also okay. I dunno about the relay. My left/right buttons won't honk when I press both of them one at a time.
Do you use the same wires because the new part only came with the button?
Nathan, yeah use the same wires and route them where they aren't pinched, keep working on stuff & thanks for watching. Hope the video helped
@@bgivco thank you for the response!
Can you make a list of the tools you used to remove and install the screws from the steering wheel?
First one T30 and second T10 Torx bit.
@@67herby89 Those are the screws of the car, not the tools used in the video to remove the Torx screws that are used to hold the airbag in place.
@@jaxa5990 the t30 torx bit was in an impact driver, the t10 torx bit was in a 1/4 drive ratchet.
For this procedure, does the battery need to be disconnected?

Hi, where did you buy this item? And cost? Can’t find it in ebay or is too pricey

Makes me wonder if the relay's suffering intermittent problems or a sketchy ground somewhere

My brake lights are stuck on, after replacing. Can someone guide me to the cause?
Sorry but is difficult to see from this angle when your hand is always in front of it!!!
I agree. The camera man needs some training.
