My fuse keep blowing out on the VW GTI...I have replaced it twice...i had to lay on the horn for 2 minutes for a pair of idiots that refused to move on the highway...Now it wont work right
Redux, what is happening is that my high beam bule light indicator light comes on when traveling on a bad road. (Louisiana) When this happens the horn won't work. When I hit a bump, and the bright light indicator light goes off the horn works. So, I know it's not the fuse. I think it could be the relay losing connection and the next bump reconnecting. What you think?
I took my vehicle to the dealership because there was a recall on airbag in the steering wheel. Could they have messed something up in there when they were checking the airbag?
I'd most likely set the air bag off if I did anything like this... However, I did learn that my truck has a low tech, ever so slightly risky 007 feature... There's a button to turn the passenger air bag off... Come ere squirrel! Let's go get some hazel nut ice cream...🤞
Hello. I have a '99 Civic whose horn only works sometimes... I hear the relay's clicking noises when I press the buttons on the steering wheel. I bought another horn at a junkyard, thinking it was the horn, but it turned out not to be, as both work hooked up to a battery... What could it be? Help would be appreciated from anyone...
It sounds like the circuit isn’t being completed. Clean off your connections with a wire brush. Did you check the relays & fuses? It could be a clock spring or wiring if it’s not a relay or fuse.
@@pmcgns10, thanks for your reply. I checked the relay and the fuse, but they seem fine. When I have more time, I'll have to remove the bottom panel below the steering column and check the connections... I've already tried connecting the bolt where the horn grounds directly to the battery, but to no avail...
@@robinforheurst1721, thanks for your reply. I had the ignition switch replaced a few years back and the car does have an aftermarket alarm installed. I don't know if the connections were redone properly or if something came loose...
@@pmcgns10 yeah the clock spring was my cause of the Issue it took me a while to figure it out! but if that's the case? it's relatively easy to replace it yourself (I did) watch a UA-cam video as to how.
WOW GREAT VIDEO VERY EDUCATIONAL 👍 👍

Took it to VW...they said an aftermarket shop installed a radar detector on the windshield wiper fuse circuit...That was why it was blowing out...
What does it mean when you hear the relay clicking when you hit the horn.
Means the fuse is working 👍🏼

My horn clicks but doesn’t beep 2014 Acura mdx
@@paulsoper744 interchange relays (some can be moved around) and if the problem goes away? replace the one that might be causing the issue.
Means everything between the relay and the steering wheel is working correctly, so the issue is between the relay and the horn

My bt 50 mazda 2010 model horn not working how to fix it
If my horn works when I hit my panic button on my key fob, but it doesn’t work when I hit my steering wheel center it’s not my horn.
Correct?

It might be the clock spring then if it works occasionally while turning or you hear the squeak of the horn it's most likely that
