Great video. iRacing stats is a game changer. There’s times i don’t enter a race because I see I’m 3 seconds slower when I view the fastest lap times. This helps me know I’m in the same 1 to 2 second window and can be competitive
Marian, very good list! Thank you for the content. I usually get along with your track guides :), but this is something else. iracingstats and iracingleagues are great!
Love the vidao thank you. Can you make a video on how to best play iRacing with your friends that might be different rank? Besides having an own server. Is it league racing?
how acurate is the iracing stats website because I just checked IMSA expected times for my IR and the quali time was no where near mine I do 1.54.4 as fastest and 1.54.8 on avarage in my quali but the site is showing 1.57 times which is a little bit unrealistic because my 1.54.8 is not always even top 4 on my splits. I am 2150 Ir rn
So the expected lap times... i checked the Porsche Cup fixed and open. In the fixed the times seem a bit slow. In the open it is pretty useless, you have to get the slider up to 11k to get times that 2.5k drivers do. So something is messing with the times. I think because there is a chance of rain in that series that messes up the whole expected lap time thing because it averages out the dry and the wet races - leaving you with no useful information at all.
@@michaelsk09 hi, I'm the author of the site. It's true, in case of rain, lap times become unreliable. This is a difficult issue to solve because the amount and duration of the rain are variable. Moreover, iRacing doesn't provide me with precise data on this, so there's essentially nothing I can do about it
@@buttha_ Very understandable. Thank you for the information, and thank you for your work. About dry times: I have always found the dry times to be a bit slower than they really are. Are you using all the data to calculate the expected lap times or are you cutting of some upper and lower percentiles?
@@michaelsk09 the best way to analyze the data is through the charts, specifically the "Lap Time Charts" section. Here, you'll see two types of information: *) The red dots, which represent the average lap times for a specific iRating (this average is inherently accurate, as it’s based on the data from all races). I divide iRatings into intervals of 50. So, for example, the point at 1000 iRating represents the average lap times of drivers with an iRating ranging from 975 to 1024 *) The blue curve, which attempts to interpolate the data to show a trend. By nature, this cannot be 100% accurate, but it provides a general sense of the progression. In the "Expected Lap Times" section, I report the values of the blue curve because the red dots (the real averages) do not always follow a strictly decreasing trend due to data variability. However, the interpolation (the blue curve) may deviate from the real averages in some sections, In my opinion, the best way to get a more accurate idea is to examine the chart itself. If you hover over it with your mouse (or tap on it if you're using a smartphone), you can see the numerical values
Iracing stats.. I got fun story I just need to share. Ferrari challenge GT3 zolder IR - 2k Expected quali - 1.30.915 Avg - 1.32.479 Great, my avg is 1.29.5, quali 1.28.9 lets jump in that’s gonna be easy First split .. Matteo Kuenzer - time 1.27.5 Kimi Antonelli - time 1.27.4 I mean it is pretty accurate 😂😂😂 with enough players and your split isn’t 2k-9k 😂😂
The last tool is basically useless because the iRacing client will tell you very clearly which series you aren’t eligible for if you just turn the filters on…
hi, I'm the author of iracingstats (and a follower 😊). Thank you so much for the mention!!!
