@@TraxionGG It's a labour of love, keep adding/improving bits whenever I can. I have a whole new telemetry selection dialog in the works for instance. The current one is a bit... basic. Great set of add ons, I’ve got to add Trading Paints to your list though, great for immersion and opens the door to a world of free paints made by the community for iracing 👍🏻
Since installing Trading Paints I have been overtaken by the cookie monster like 6 times. Glorious Racer. They did show Trading Paints in the bit where they showed the iRacing Manger if you look closely, but weird that they did not suggest it to people?
I paused your video because it reminded me i want to research how to make a wind simulator for my rig. Adding to my rig has become a huge hobby in itself and I think i figured out why my Buttkicker is overheating because of a way i can wire it better to make it more effective. It makes me super excited for my time after the kids go to sleep when i can do my hobby!
I feel that telemetry is moving towards a must have, as the info you can gather, whether it be where you lose time, or Especially for setup building purposes, is vital.
Ya I built a regular sim to start and now I just got qs-210 movement. Didn’t see this level of sim coming at all. It does become a hobby to just keep building it up.
I just started iracing the other day and I’m trying out ioverlay but I think I might try sim hub next seems like a fun dive into even more new things and challenges
I found that too many overlays can distract you too much, that's why I just use RaceLabs for me replays. In higher splits you don't really need to talk about the SoF of your session, or if a driver has a low SafetyRating, or if the guy behind has 6K iRating, you just need to drive and the blackboxes are great enough. Also, I don't understand the point of having this overlay at 1:45, I see it everywhere, do people really look at it when racing or is this mostly for viewers ? I'm criticizing some overlays, not the video in which you present them perfectly (and shortly !) VRS/Garage61 or any telemetry tool is a must have to progress and to be able to realize "Ok I never thought I could take that turn this way" Helpful video :) Trading Paints is great for immersion too, and in Reddit it's quite the joke that if you see a driver with a RedBull livery, you have to be careful with them I'll add two things which are not race-related but help to save some money : iRacing Week planner and SimRacingstats which is helpful to know if a serie or a car/track combo is popular before buying it ;)
Thanks for the comment. My view on the live telemetry you mentioned at 1:45 is that its used mostly by streamers or content creators as a way of showing their viewers their pedal inputs. However since using it myself, I've actually found it useful for making sure I am using good technique e.g. holding the brakes and trailing them well into the corner correctly. Its a nice visual aid to make sure I'm driving how I should, however I'm aware it's not for everyone, and can be distracting
There are some options in the app settings for each overlay that can reduce usage like updating framerate of overlay items, you will have to hone each for your own system. Stuff like the FPS of the 'relative' display can be reduced considerably (as low as 4 FPS) without much impact on user experience, however things like the 'advanced panel' and 'input telemetry' look better at higher FPS (30-60), but of course use more computing power. If you're running a lower spec system, maybe avoid the higher FPS and more graphically taxing ones such as the 'radar' and 'track map'. Of course the less overlays you run in total, the less computing power it will take. Maybe prioritise which ones give you the most value. IMO the most impactful ones for me are the relative and fuel calculator, everything else is a 'nice to have'. Thanks for your comment, hope this helps. I am by no means an expert, but this should help 😁
@@TraxionGG this is awesome! Thank you! Ya I was mainly wanting the relative and occasionally the battery usage but that’s only for a few races. I will mess around with it some more. Thanks!

Yes, in the iRacing graphics settings you can click a 'borderless mode' tick box and it should remove it for you. Sometimes it doesn't do it immediately, you may have to close and re-open the sim. Hope that helps

its not working on full screen racelabsapps
You have to use windowed mode. If you select borderless it is effectively the same as full screen, but your overlays should work fine. Hope that helps
Can you do a similar video on plugins for ACC as well? :)

I suppose everyone is different, I play in VR so I get rid of literally every single hud element I can. The only add on I run is crew chief.
