I'll always swear by Suellio's coaching. After only a couple of weeks, from his UA-cam playlist on racing techniques alone, I've gone from a clueless rookie to finding time on my own, on any track. I never would have expected to understand as much as I do in such a short time. It's removed so much frustration for me getting started and I feel like the baseline this has given me is invaluable. Great work Suellio! All the best to you in your career, looking forward to all of your future content!

Ive said this on other videos but I seriously cant thank you enough for putting these teaching videos online, I just started sim racing even though I have played the GT games since they first came out and your videos have helped me tremendously, I just had hit a wall earlier today and could not seem to improve my times at all but I watched some of your videos, really took the time to understand the concepts and went back at it and was able to drop my fastest time from a 1:49.9 to a 1:47.3 and was consistently running in the low 1:48's and my "bad laps" were faster than my old fastest lap I could not duplicate mere hours ago. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Your a true inspiration to me already! 30 years old, 7 years In sim racing and now a virtual BTCC contender 🎉 Maybe one day I'll see you out on the black stuff ❤
The way you describe finding lateral grip is the same way that I found to be the most efficient. I hit my line through the corner and basically turn the wheel until the fronts start sliding, if at that point I'm drifting outside of my race line, then I'm carrying too much speed, and the opposite if I pull inside. Good info. My process is pretty similar; first priority for me is always to find the limits of my grip. It just takes all of the guessing out so I can fully commit.
This is such a valuable video. After taking lots and lots of notes from the Motor Racing Book, this video helped me connect the dots and I understand so much more now! It finally clicked! I know fully know how to induce understeer now, and of course I’ve gotta take more notes! 😁
Brilliant video. I was looking into what wheel I should buy to start having fun and improving behind a real wheel too, and I was starting to think if it's not DD with 10+Nm of torque it wasn't worth it. I wasn't going to spend $700+ on an other hobby so I was ready to call it quits. But you clearly demonstrated that a $300 wheel was enough to have plenty of fun and actually perform. Thank you.
Thanks! I think it might be a bit more helpful to organize the content in the UA-cam channel by using chapter markers in your videos and leveraging the use of playlists in UA-cam. I sort of feel that the same content in the YT channel has been repeated a few times now. It feels I've watched the "induce oversteer to find maximum speed in the corner" like 4+ times. I purchased all of your courses but nowadays I just stick with the courses instead of the YT videos because it takes 3x longer to get the same info on YT than on the courses. Thanks again.
The organization of the content is what's new in this video. Inducing understeer and oversteer is cool, but when exactly should you do it? Motorsports is complex and has many dimensions. I understand this, though. If I want to grow on UA-cam I can't have such organized content like you recommended; this is for paid content. I have to unfortunately follow the rules of the Algorithm to get views and every video has to have some context that is useful for new viewers, hence why you feel the content is repetitive for you.

That’s what I learned. I found braking zones are obsolete even by my 2nd month. I went to Sandown for the first time yesterday. No video, no breaking zone references, no driveline. 7 months of experience allowed me to start out at a 1.13.1 pace in F4, which is slow for me, but I can at least get 1.11.8 if I pay attention to the next 50 laps or so. Eventually you need to ween off of those reference points so you have the capacity to adapt and listen to your car.

Hey there. Love the video's so much. Haven't played anything to new for sim racers other then Gran Turismo 4 and F1 2022. i can feel everything your saying and I'm trying to change my technique so i can stay on track in sim racing. I'm coming in from more the arcade racers. Like Need for Speed and the likes. And was honestly surprised by how much information i learned from going arcade to sim. And how close the 2 styles are aside from the biggest effects like simulating real world. And love how much sim can translate to real world. Biggest problem is i only have a controller for now. Hope to get an actual rig built one day. And step up my performance. edit: unless my buddie lets me use his car and we get to a track somewhere or we can use a parking lot? track ideally.
Im out here with load cells and chair on wheels😂. Load cells are crazy how much of a difference they make. Its equivalent to changing from rim to disc brakes on a bike
75% through your book and I can’t wait to finish it! I’m too 30% in the world on Austria F1 23 (around 3 seconds off the world record). After taking notes and 1 month of pretty much pure practice is it possible to get to top 10%? That’s my goal over this summer.
I once asked my physics teacher how anything wpuld relate to my desk job when im 30. Now im 30 with a desk job i relise physics is what makes racing, racing.
I have tried tips from your videos. How to control the steering wheel while turning the car. and I was able to cut 5 seconds. I only use it on Real Racing 3 games😄
Great video. Can’t wait to try these techniques out. Do you happen to know of any good or recommended leagues in North America for road racing? I’m on the hunt for one 🙂
I've been trying to get a sim rig for the longest time and get into sim racing and Im only 15 my family and I do not got the budget to spend the 250+ dollars like that much so I just use a controller when I use assetto corsa and when I get the money I will 110% buy the checklist
My biggest problem is consistency. I'll run a lap or 2 hitting every corner perfect in iracing. I'll feel the grip limit on the perfect entry and exit....but then the next lap I'll screw up and go off track 3 times. I end races with a LOT of off tracks, not from going completely off track but with more than half my car going off and the other 2 tires staying on. I just cannot for the life of me seem to both drive hard and stay on track the entire race. It's maddening. Especially because I understand weight transfer and grip.
great vid! i can confirm that VR crashes often on a normal system. i lost 100s of irating because of this and had to upgrade my system just to make VR reliable. you def get hotter in VR and its def tough to do races back to back to back in VR. feels more draining, but i still enjoy it very much

2:10 basically you are just that good 😎
Only dedication makes u good in this game, i play with controller in 1990 irating and i still wining above the others with expensive setups
@Suellio Almeida do you have a race coming anytime soon cause it was fun watching you race . Great coaching btw:)
Im out here with load cells and chair on wheels😂. Load cells are crazy how much of a difference they make. Its equivalent to changing from rim to disc brakes on a bike
Great video. But why load cell over hydraulic brakes?
75% through your book and I can’t wait to finish it! I’m too 30% in the world on Austria F1 23 (around 3 seconds off the world record). After taking notes and 1 month of pretty much pure practice is it possible to get to top 10%? That’s my goal over this summer.
I usually brake to late, crash, brake to late crash, brake to late, barely hold on, brake around the breaking point, make it through, get used to it.
Verry logical, great explanation, 10/10
Wow, man. I'm 27, and the delivery of my Logitech g29 was just postponed, so may be of the same age as you when i finally start simracing.
Suellio is pretty jacked now
I once asked my physics teacher how anything wpuld relate to my desk job when im 30. Now im 30 with a desk job i relise physics is what makes racing, racing.
another good beginner option is Thrustmaster T248, got it myself and highly recommend
What fantastic video!
the backdrop is getting nicer and nicer with them trophies🤣
I have tried tips from your videos. How to control the steering wheel while turning the car.
and I was able to cut 5 seconds. I only use it on Real Racing 3 games😄
Great content !
Do you have advice on driving assists? ABS and Traction control? Do you recommend turning them both off, to develop?
Great video. Can’t wait to try these techniques out. Do you happen to know of any good or recommended leagues in North America for road racing? I’m on the hunt for one 🙂
Consegui fazer um tempo top 30 no automobilista 2 de controle com 2 semanas de jogo, somente vendo seus videos. Imagine com o curso e um volante😳😳😳😳😳
Suelio being my age was NOT on my sim racing bingo card. Wtf you look great man howwwww
Amazing video! i was wondering if this technique is applicable to assetto corsa.
This was pretty damn good
great vid! i can confirm that VR crashes often on a normal system. i lost 100s of irating because of this and had to upgrade my system just to make VR reliable. you def get hotter in VR and its def tough to do races back to back to back in VR. feels more draining, but i still enjoy it very much
Amazing sum up of all things Simracing :) Well done. I would just not recommend Logitech DD and or G29 as first wheel.
