Love the serene drone videos! Thank you to Beverly; what an angel.
With forest-bathing comes bug bites 😫 What stamina and determination when you had a way out early!

Hi, Curtis. Having done a taste of backpacking the Fundy Footpath a few days ago, I tremendously enjoyed this video. Beverly at the Long Beach Interpretive Center helped me out too! She radioed the maintenance folks and Jack, the manager, came and kindly gave me a ride to my car at P8. I had backpacked 8km from Big Salmon to Seeley Beach and tented there. Then, hiked up the Sealy Beach footpath to the road and hitched a ride to the Long Beach Center. I'm from Massachusetts and had spent several days in the Machiasport area of Maine, hiking with friends around the Schoodic Peninsula and Quoddy Head. I very much wanted to check out the Fundy Footpath, so continued on to St. John and St. Martin's and the Footpath. Hope to get back and do more of it one of these days. Meanwhile, I've been section-hiking the Appalachian Trail and have done about 570 mi so far.

That's quite the adventure, great to hear! The seem to be so many cool areas on the AT, it's awesome you found a way to fit it into your lifestyle because a ~6 month excursion is not easily doable for most.

Certainly have been thinking of taking some sort of an overnight hike with Otis...just haven't worked myself up to it yet...lol Looks like such a great footpath. Lots of camping trips as a kid was made to NB and especially Fundy NP. Take good care and enjoy the weekend...Bruce and Otis

Wonderfully brutal trail and I know this because I did it many years ago. lol The camera doesn't show just how steep some of the terrain is. It was excellent to see the sights through your camera instead of through my tired eyes when I was hiking it! I think I was too pooped at many points to really appreciate it! haha! Thanks for sharing this series! :) :)

That's so true! My first few trips of that style I was always looking at my feet because I was afraid of tripping and faceplanting with a giant, heavy backpack! Thankfully a bit easier these days with more advanced equipment but always a worthwhile struggle 😄
