@@Beh0ldas0n I’m going to sound as if I’m being really picky…but, keep in mind that a female doing a genealogical dna test, only gives the mitochondrial dna, which means that 25% of the dna you got from your female ancestors, is Scottish. Your total could be higher or lower. I say this as a Scot born and raised, who did one of these dna tests and discovered the 100% of my mitochondrial dna is from the British Isles, with almost 3/4 being Scottish and Irish. Which totally fits as one of my grandparents was English but from a town on the English/Welsh border and it had historically belonged to both countries. Sorry, I rambled a bit there. 😊

We are the military family lived in Scotland two (2) years, my son was born there. The Scottish people are the nicest and the friendliest people of north we love them right back. I do remember some of the sights that we saw, I remember the castle of Mary Queen of Scots. and some other sights. But I also remember we had neighbor she was British I believe her name was Maureen or Sherle, I know her husband's name was Scott. we both had boys on the very same day. I often wonders where all these friends are. But I did ran into one a years later in some ambassy gathering in Washington DC. and we lost contact again. Scotland is a very pretty country but cold as I said but it's people are amazing, Not the British but Scottish..

It seems it's a matter of vaccination. I suspect by end of 2021 there'll be massively scaled vaccine production, especially mRNA vaccines. Best wishes to your family and friends. It'll be okay. We all will be so grateful to be around each other again. I miss all the strangers out and about - never realized how nice it is to have their company.
Also, we're living through what will be a transformative time in world history. I hope many will be humbled by what we've gone through! Safe travels- soon!
I wish you all, you will open your eyes and mind, for this deadliest lie worldwide!!
Because our travel to Scotland was canceled due this great lie!!! 😠
As a teacher at school,I was searching for the information about Scotland ,Scottish and found out our people have much in common I’m from Chechen Republic, which is also mountainous, many ginger people, and we also have the dish same as your “haggis “ ,we love it.And who knows maybe one day my dream will come true and I visit My dream country Scotland
Got any whisky like beverage 🥃🏴
Thanks for sharing the wonders of Scotland. The landscape and scenery is awesome.
As a professional musician I study and teach folk songs as part of my curriculum. The Isle of Skye has many folk songs that I use. Now I understand why! Also, my paternal grandmother’s first name was Iona. Her mother had read about the island and thought that it was a lovely name.
The most beautiful country of Europe with the natural scenery.
ZEB KB england is better zeb..
the locals are turning against tourism now..the golden goose for tourism is being shot..
@@johngr9963 England is definitely not better. There's a few nice landscapes like the Lake District but for the most part it's flat and boring. Scotland is rightly turning against tourism since it's ruining places for the locals, just go to Skye and you'll see coachfulls of people crowding Portree meaning locals can't do anything.
Most beautiful has to be Norway.
@@millerforester3184 Pakistan is the most beautiful country
@@nishkm HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Hello from Scotland Jan! Do come and visit....you’ll love it. So much to see in a small country. No need to wear the kilt though!
@@MsMamabo I should try wearing kilt and to experience the tranquility of countryside. 👍😊

In total nothing is more beautiful than the natural beauty....
So humble, I can tell this man is a Scotsman in his heart.
Rick does a great job of presentation.
Scotland is beautiful.
What a beautiful land. I will never get to go there. Though my family came to America from Scotland in the 1700s. I loved getting to see it with a guide that was so knowledgable. Definatly subscribed to this channel for more guided tours of different countries.
My family came to Australia...i would love to go there to...but all countries in lock down..🙄 i would love to know more about the Muir clan...

Thank you for taking me back in time to a holiday in 1974. at 14 we as a family arrived in the Orkneys, fishing on mid summers day what a life it was, we stayed at EVE in an old Drill hall form the first world war and a place where 18 months late back at home in Manchester a springer pup arrived from, the farm at EVE.
Great film thank you
Fantastic, I am a Scot and ashamed to say I have never been to the Orkneys. I have seen a few of your videos Rick and they are always very interesting and educational.
Awesome video beautifully narrated in a simple and lucid style thanks
the scenery make me feel calm, Man and nature in harmony, most frame can be used as phone wallpaper that feeling is same with my hometown where many trees in valley and plenty of farmland around my home in china, every season have different scenery. I hope I will have the opportunity to go to Scotland after Saving enough money through work.

Beautiful place & view of Scotland
Such a beautiful place. One of the places I dream of living in for awhile.
Life is too short, make your dream come true. 7 years ago first time I visited Scotland and fallen in love, today I live in this magical land. ❤️❤️
I have been to Orkney and seen the sights you highlighted there, and Skye both using the old ferry from Kyleakin & over the new bridge. Your video does them proud and is excellent. Lewis & Harris are something else, too.
Thank you Rick Steve' for an amazing video....Beautiful Scotland, what an inspiring place!
Isle of Skye - Fairy Falls is also a great hike and beautiful views

Travelogues like this are so enjoyable : I'd love to visit beautiful, quiet Scotland ( did once, briefly☺), but cant afford to now...
I really appreciate being able to experience interesting places by seeing videos here : it's almost as good as actually going there, with a personable presenter "taking you round " ! ☺🌷💕😊
Many thanks .🌷☺🌷
Wow, so beautiful Scotland and breathtaking views! I always visit Scotland since my daughter moved to Edinburgh for her studies 3 years ago and we call it our family´s second home. We haven´t been to the islands yet but it is our plan to explore them the next time we come to this beautiful place.
