  • Brandon from Lyme Regis Fossils, is walking along the Jurassic Coast at low tide. He is fossil hunting for ammonites and belemnites. I hope you find some fossils along the Jurassic Coast-at low tide too! Sometimes fossil hunting turns out to be treasure hunting, especially when you are trying a bit of sieving. The Jurassic Coast really does have some stunning fossils. I recommend wearing safety glasses and sturdy rubber gloves when hammering the right rocks. Remember the cliffs are dangerous and liable to fall suddenly and without warning. Keep away from the dangerous cliffs. The best fossils are washed out onto the beaches at low tide, by the sea's actions. Look out for the slippery seaweed on the ledges and rocks. I offer fossil walks along the Jurassic Coast on the following website, so feel free to take a look at the website I made, with our online fossil walks --------------------www.lymeregisfo... There is a fossil collecting code of conduct in place along the Jurassic Coast !

Thank you very much! Some of the smallest rocks on the beach have some very exciting little fossil finds in them ! The Lyme Regis fossil hunting can be good 👍 or bad depending on the amount of erosion that’s been going on. Stormy ⛈️ weather can be some of the best fossil collecting times, at low tide .

Thanks 🙏 very much for your comments, I hope your fossil hunting goes well and you have a bit of luck 🍀 too. There is an old UA-cam video on my channel as well called “ Ammonite Lyme Regis,” this really shows you where to look 👀 on the beach in the iron pyrite patches at low tide. Beware of the dangerous cliffs that are liable to fall suddenly and without warning ⚠️, thanks 🙏 for your comments.
