- I hope you find some fossils along the Jurassic Coast-at low tide. Sometimes fossil hunting turns out to be treasure hunting, especially when you are trying a bit of sieving. The Jurassic Coast really does have some stunning fossils. I recommend wearing safety glasses and sturdy rubber gloves when hammering the right rocks. Remember the cliffs are dangerous and liable to fall suddenly and without warning. Keep away from the dangerous cliffs. The best fossils are washed out onto the beaches at low tide, by the sea's actions. Look out for the slippery seaweed on the ledges and rocks. I offer fossil walks along the Jurassic Coast on the following website, so feel free to take a look at the website I made, with our online fossil walks ------www.lymeregisfo... There is a fossil collecting code of conduct in place along the Jurassic Coast !
See my longer fossil hunting films 🎥 I can't believe I found this fossil hunting surprise!🤔(Part 1)- This is a longer video that I made on UA-cam, about an awesome ammonite that I found !
wonderful video again, Brandon, thanks for showing
Glad you enjoyed it! Cheers karsten

Glad you enjoyed it!
Another excellent and informative video Brandon ,bit longer this time and super finds as usual 😊
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks 🙏 David ! It was a sunny day so my hands 🙌 weren’t too cold to film 🎥
The early bird catches the worm, but only the second mouse gets the cheese!
Wonderful video! That lovely pyrite ammonite in the sieving clip at the very start of the video looks a bit different from the usual pyrite Promicroceras ammonites; is this one a different type of ammonite?
Thank you very much! That’s exactly 👍🏻 right it’s much more different to the normal Promicroceras sp. You usually get . 🙌
What equipment do you recommend for a first timer?
That’s a green potting sieve available online. I use that with a dog scoop and a trug bucket 🪣 with sea water in it. I really do wash out some fossils at low tide from the iron pyrite using that !
@@LymeRegisFossils thankyou so much just ordered one!
Good for you ordering one. I have an old video on UA-cam it’s called “Ammonite Lyme Regis, “ that really shows you how to look 👀 in the iron pyrite for ammonites .
Thanks alot mate ! Il check it out
I'm in charmouth today I brought a sieve with me and me and my partner have found some many ammonites!
Heck, they're all over Texas beaches!!!
At 13:00 ish did you not notice what you were using as a table for your fossils?
Some ancient marine sediment in a large block on the beach, a great place to put your fossils on.
Are these small fossils för sale?
I have some on my website now and again www.lymeregisfossilsforsale.co.uk
Great video ty😊

I love anomite fossils
I've got quite a few at home
Well done with your ammonite finds - they are the best aren’t they, all the different shapes and sizes
I have sea urchin fossils...and want to sale 1:04
Thanks 🙏 it’s great fun finding them at low tide
Tip 1: how to get out of bed.
Perfect.
Getting out of bed early can be a real good thing in Winter for the fossil hunting ! If the tide is low early in the morning, then it can be “ early bird catches the worm,” - some days !
