I live in the fossil-barren South Seas (I know, pity me, LOL), and as much as I love it here, I miss fossil collecting. I collect vicariously through you two!

Was down at Cayton Bay yesterday and stumbled across some small fossils on a small bit of flat rock on the beach! AND found a round nodule at Robin Hoods Bay beach today! We opened it up and that too has small ammonite fossils inside (we’re getting it prepared by a professional)! You’ve inspired me to have a small interest in palaeontology and geology because of your videos! Keep it up lads! 😁

Where in Whitby would you suggest to find fossils?
Cause i’d like to try and find some
Sandsend, Ravenscar, Runswick Bay, Port Mulgrave and Robin Hood's Bay are good choices :)
@@Batzy86 ok thanks :)
Plenty of options as mentioned above, good luck!

What beach is this?
Where is the place?
How rare would you consider it to find a starfish imprint fossil like 700 kilometres inland from sea at a fresh water lake?
which part of coast? ta
Looks like a narrow beach. Do you ever worry about getting caught by a rising tide?
Oui merci j'aime beaucoup
Plenty more fossils to come, including lots of new specimens!
Any good spots in ireland to find ammonites?
To be honest, I’m not sure about the geology of Ireland
Is that fossil can be sell ?? or just for collection
We do a variety of things with the fossils we find :)
can anyone just collect fossils or do you need special permits?
Any one - within reason - though there are rules about some sites - which are essentially no hammering the bedrock
As mentioned, some sites have rules which are different to other sites, so before collecting fossils in any area you should check to be sure
I have lots of fossiles n pak
That would depend where you are hunting, but you can grab fossils pretty much anywhere.
What is the yellow stones comprised of?
They’re usually sandstone
Holy moly 1 minute ago?
