I'm new to soft solder and finding your tutorials very helpful. Thank you. Can I ask what type of metal the blank ring is you use please. And possibly a link to where I can purchase one 😊
What solution do you use to clean the ring off? Also where do you get your products from? Very curious!
Its just simple dish washing Soap.
But if you have any sticky stuff use isopropyl to wipe it with cotton bud.
I gathered all from ebay.
Would soldering iron ring tarnish with water touch?
With little water nothing will happen but with continuous water it will but yoy can shine it up with polishing cloth meant for jewelry.
Hey lovely 😍 can I ask what is the blue solutions you use after the soldering please?☺️
Hi sure ☺ its Novacan patina for giving aged effect .
Can you use copper wire instead of aluminum wire to wrap in copper?
Yes absolutely then you don't need to wrap it in copper tape.
Make sure its a bare copper wire.
This is a technique i develop when i couldn't find any help on this technique 😊
