  • Here I am creating a lovely necklace using jewelry grade silver soft solder and a zigzag copper foil bezel with a lovely amethyst, dendritic agate. I will also be sharing how I finish the necklace by choosing a bail and cord.

    I’m so happy I found you. I have tremors from a stroke. Watching you has inspired me to go back to my jewelry. Thank you!❤

    I really enjoyed watching you work especially working over the pointy patterned edge of the stone. I really like the second bail which you tried out and would love to know where you got it from please. Thank you for sharing your talent. I have some sea glass and would like to see if it works okay without the glass breaking from the heat of the iron? ☺

      Thank you very much! I’m thrilled to hear that you’re finding my videos helpful! I purchase a lot of items from Amazon & receive a very small commission when someone uses my links. I think these are the bails you’re asking about!

    Hi! I’m not sure what you’re referencing with Large River charms? But if you’re asking if special types of charms are need to attach with solder, then I’d say usually not as most mixed alloy metal charms, jump rings, etc will work with soft solder! I have found that aluminum & stainless steel don’t work! As I mentioned in the tutorial I purchase everything on Amazon & they inexpensive items! I hope I answered your questions ok!

    Q: When it comes to the *large river* purchased charms, bails and other findings - Do you do anything with the base metal pieces to bring them to the quality of your solder, do you buy upgraded findings ? Or.

      Most mixed alloy metal charms work just fine! I would only upgrade to sterling silver if I was actually creating a SS piece!

    Is your soldering iron a 100w ? And what brand?

      Actually I just double checked my iron & it’s a Weller 70 watt Model #1010! My apologies for giving you incorrect information previously, no wonder I couldn’t find the exact one! DUH 🤪😂

    What kind of wire is the jump ring made of?

    • @karensintuitivejewelry
      @karensintuitivejewelry  2 місяці тому +1

      The jump ring is an inexpensive mixed alloy but any metal jump rings will work EXCEPT stainless steel!
