This is the last rock band that made the world change. Radio, fashion, everything.
@kyfaydfsoab everyone across America started wearing flannels and ripped jeans because of Nirvana and the grunge/Seattle scene during the 90s
Nahh, with all my respect to Nirvana, the last "very influential" rock band is the Oasis
@@albertodalpasso2240 Oasis "very influential"? How? Oasis was never so popular as Nirvana, not even close.
Lol fashion . All the grunge band wore flannels cause its cold in the north west lol
You hit the nail on the whatever nevermind love you 😍great fan
Dave’s drumming is unbelievable
He was kinda raw in some parts that night tbh, but he's still awesome.
Most of the time he was killer, though.
For real though, best band ever ❤️
I like that snare loud
Kurt's voice is unbelievable
I love the energy of early Nirvana shows when it was just 3 regular guys playing really hooky, noisy but melodic songs.
God me too

Yeah. Heroin ruined that band
That is becouse Hollywood is Poisun
Kurt had the perfect voice for punk. He was the greatest song writer of my generation. On of the best bands of all time.
Kurt is tied with Axl as the greatest lead singers of Gen X but his songwriting consisted of scribbling words down in a few minutes. He wrote the lyrics to half of Nevermind in one 15 minute sitting. Kurt’s genius was in the simplicity of his art.
amén. da best
@@douglasdobbs2907 songwriting isn't just the lyrics. it's the music, harmony and melody.
His real genius was melody, backed with his simple yet novel chord progressions.
Honestly, I'd put him in the same league as Lennon/McCartney in terms of melody.
Part of what made Cobain/Nirvana great in my mind is what he/they _could have done_ had Cobain remained happy, healthy, and motivated.
Not to mention that Grohl was a great up-and-coming songwriter in his own right. And if they'd have continued on with Pat Smear as a second guitarist, and continued touring with a cellist, the kinds of music they could've created could have been truly Beatles-esque!
Lots of frustrating what-ifs... 😢
Yep I will always love Nirvana I’m 42 about to be 43. Nirvana is up there with greats like the Beatles, Doors , Elvis
I believe that somewhere in the world, there are people who feel the same emotions that I feel when I listen to masterpieces like this song.
You do right, bro
It's 55 minutes
Love that Kurt sings "a gelato" in the end of Smells Like Teen Spirit.
WELL MILO WITH THAT SAID I WOULD LOVE ❤️ A GELATO 3.TIMES RIGHT NOW IT MADE HIS VOICE AND HE WASNT DEAD MURDERED WE'D BE HAPPY AND WITH KURT DONALD COBAIN RIGHT NOW WHAT A SHAME THANKS AND BE HAPPY

The man was a gifted guitarist, ‘Come as you are’ with that menacing fatalist atmosphere is hypnotic and brilliant.
Sarcasm? I can't tell because it's very very well known the Come As You Are riff was a plain as day bite of Killing Joke's "Eighties"
@@waxoftriple9 Killing Joke ripped off that riff from The Damned. What is your point?
he sucked at guitar, even he'd tell you that.

This kills me, I saw Nirvana open for Sonic Youth and they blew them away and everyone there. It was like electricity ran through the room and lots of "who ARE these guys ?" and it was fucking magic! I looked at boy friend and said "these guys are gonna be huge " and everyone in the room knew it. To see this when Kurt was so alive and into it makes my heart ache. He was one of us, weird, outcasts, punks, our little alt world before alt was a thing. always so sad on this day, the day he took his life, such a waste.....
Very lucky you saw that. Kurt lived life on his own terms, what made him so good was the pain he felt as well and his perfectionism to make good music. That being said, you should check out the doc about Courtney loves old private investigator. High probability she actually killed him. RIP regardless, incredible talent enjoy your memories.
Sonic Youth blows. They’re the band you’re supposed to like but can’t bc their songs suck, not unlike Captain Beefheart and Jeff Buckley

They're Italian. That's just what they look like all the time.
Kurt had some great intuitive band mates coming from someone who played live for years, if you look at the end of Teen Spirit for example, Kurt cuts it short by accident in last chorus and moves to "The denial" and Dave picks up on it right away / Krist and ends the song with him on time still... great band.
The most beautiful voice I've ever heard....

Three young 20 something year old kids from almost “ No where in America “ that changed the course of Rock ‘N Roll history. Here’s to Kurt & Dave & Krist ……… thanks guys for taking us along . I was only just living in North Lake Tahoe for a week or two when out of the radio blasted Smells like teen spirit back in ‘91 !! The only good station I could get was out of Reno Nevada & suddenly I was introduced to “ The Grunge scene” happening out of Seattle….. my world was suddenly turned upside down and music was never the same afterwards. These guys were truly at the front of that movement. R.I.P . Mr Cobain…..

Damn i miss them. My mid 20s. What a great time in my life but these guys were transcendent. Wore out all these CDs. Crushed when he died. Still listen to this day.
Dave pounded so much extra life into nirvana. Perfect line up
@Corpsi Buddy Rich was an incredible drummer but, a technical one and a jazz drummer. If Buddy Rich was the drummer of nirvana it would not have worked. Dave did his job of beating the shit out the drums perfectly. Buddy Rich was a better drummer than Dave but that's not what music was looking for.
@Corpsi Dave is an incredible drummer... just not a jazz drummer like you are comparing him to.. idiot.
@Corpsi Yeah because more pieces = better drummer right? youre a moron.
Yes Dave hit hard and was tight as a nuns p*£Sy.
That was good enough
Chad was at least as good at pulling kit-duty for Nirvana as Dave was.
That snare drum!!! 👌👌
No kidding! I was just listening to that myself. 👍😎
Due to the lighting and Kurt's white shirt, he appears to be surrounded by an angelic halo in this video. Seeing these concerts on UA-cam is such a treat for me since this concert happened when I was 9 years old. It would take me three years before I fell in love with the band, bad timing. This energy of the late 80s-early 90s would fade away forever in the mid to late 1990s and early 2000s. We "young'uns" are so lucky to have access to videos like this to see what we missed. And seeing Dave and Krist and them three as a band together with that incredible live sound ...wow. It took me 20 years to want to listen to this again but I'm here for it. Hashtag A GELATO!
Love Nirvana. This performance is amazing😘

New favorite version of Negative Creep. Ever.
That JAGUAR was made just for him. When he purchased that bastard, it already had super distortion pickups in it. It was meant to be.
yep he bought it at a pawn shop... it was owned by a sem-famous session guitarist. forgot his name, but u should search it, quite interesting.
no it was made for some other dude from some other band
William Beckham yes, it was Fate that he found that Jaguar! Like it was built for him custom! But was it also Fated that he died so early? I wish he could have avoided joining the stupid 27 club. He would be 50 exactly this year if he had lived. But instead he is long gone! RIP Kurt
@@dynjarren7523 He'd be 52 right now. I'm so glad I got a chance to see them in November of '93. Some dick threw a shoe in his face, but the show went on. He wasn't a bitch like other people who probably walked off of the stage if it happened to them.

I love Nirvana and your entitled to your own opinion, But this is so unfair. Its not all a competition, Many bands and artists have made great music as well.
In German we have a similar saying. It's "Vallah de börger hat nisch geschmegt."
"simply unattainable" or, as you say - "semplicemente inarrivabili" :P - out of reach, that cut above, a bit extra :)
El mejor recital de Nirvana lejos. Sonido y ejecución recontra afilada. Brutal performance de todos... Novoselic, Grohl y Cobain. Ese día Cobain estaba con todos los sentidos intactos por eso salió esta producción.

Kurt was 24 years old here..
Imagine becoming that big and rich at 24. Had he had the right support in his life from a decent wife and loving family, he might still be here.
Just so sad
actually, at this moment in time (11/19/91) (not 1992 that was an error on my part, thank you to whoever pointed that out)...Kurt was homeless...But, by the time he got off this tour, went back to USA, royalties began rolling in from Nevermind sales & he and Love finally were able to get their own place, a tiny dank apartment in a high crime neighborhood... They began dating about a month before this, into a serious relationship immediately, both on tour, working & got to see each other every chance they could. Frances was conceived after they moved in together and then married 3 months after this show (Feb 92). Kurt was hopeful, happy and content during this time.

This is as good as rock gets. They sound fucking terrific this show. If I remember right, this is the tour before they returned to America and realized Teen Spirit was playing every hour on radio and MTV
Simplesmente Espetacular !!!
Na época bem underground da banda ... Show irado ! Os vi em 1993 no Festival HOLLYWOOD ROCK , na Praça da Apoteose , Rio de Janeiro , Brasil .
Кожне небаченне ранiше вiдео цiэï групи , це якись подарунок !

Kurt Is a Genius for this material. The greatest band of our generation
Cobain a musical genius obviously, but to have Novaselic on bass and Grohl, one of the greatest rock drummers ever, it was one of the most impactful power rock trios in music history, my personal favorite of that trio category. What they accomplished is almost unimaginable. 3 friends playing rock music, conquering the music industry on a grand scale, doubt that kind of thing will happen again. No band of any genre can top these guys.
Já vi e ouvi várias vezes e não enjoou, Nirvana é música para os meus ouvidos!
14:00 Kurt ends the Smells Like Teen Spirit chorus early, then switches from "A denial..." to "A gelato..." 😅
This is one of their best shows , the sound and video editing are on point which makes it even better and I love how it was one of the rare times they didn’t end with Endless Nameless and destruction especially in 91 which was the best era for nirvana shows (other times are great too but the late 91 /early 92 energy just can’t be beat that was like the peak )
A GELATO A GELATO!!!!
He couldn't resist. I think he had a sense of humour underneath it all.
@@jamescope767 he had an excellent sense of humor imo
Whats not to love about this mosquito
@@carmelagarcia174 His libido?

Oh my oh my!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How I would trade all the concerts that I've been to for one Nirvana live performance or for a place in an obscure corner of the 1964 Ed Sullivan Show.
Kurt's voice is what got them as far as they went. That voice went perfect with the poetic brilliance that filled each song.
I got to see probably their best show... about 5 minutes before they became huge... opening was Urge Overkill, arguably a much bigger band at the time, but there was no way they were going to follow that hurricane/riot... which is what happened at the infamous St Louis gig... I was front row... the rest was standing room... so I overlooked the pit.. I had no idea who they were, only that my bassist had an advance promo he'd been playing in the record store since it came... I walked out of there with my ears pleasantly ringing... I said "that's was the best show and riot I ever saw" "I told you!" "and ... wait for it... that's my favorite band"... smug look from the bassist. we recorded a few more songs together and he got busted for weed in my practice space... and blamed me! so we don't talk... but oh well... I've been on major labels 4 times since... I credit these guys for keeping rock alive long enough for me to have my 5 minutes ...
Que voz!!!! Espectacular....
Grande Kurt avrei davvero voluto vederti live nella mia città,purtroppo te ne sei andato troppo presto nirvana per sempre🤟
Io li vidi nel 94 al palaghiaccio di marino ma kurt aimé era già più morto che vivo...
