Swavy Curly Courtney on UA-cam has wavy hair, thus tons of tutorials. Mel has coily hair, so wavy isn't her thing much. She does have some videos on her cousins that have wavy hair. But going with a UA-camr that has wavy hair is best.

**Side note! Yesterday I watched a livestream with Glam Girl Gabby and Blowout Professor; two other channels I follow religiously like yours. You were brought up by several viewers during the stream because Gabby and Chris do not know curly hair. Gabby would like you to join them for a livestream one day and we were all here for it! It would be so great if you and Amanda could be present to represent us and teach them some new things, especially as Gabby has naturally wavy hair that she does not feel good about (but I think is beautiful the times she has styled it wavy). You could give her great tips to style her natural waves 🙂

I could have sworn you had reviewed that tool before LOL. To me the Denman curls looked better on everyone. Never saw that fine tooth comb coil that was excellent. Yes to the finger coil livestream. My curls tend to clump so much if I use these methods that I have to spend so much time separating them too so they are a no go for me. Your ribbon curl method is my go to now and I always get the best results ... I will forever be in your debt for that 🙂

Thank you for the response about wetting your hair everyday. I am learning this curly journey and find the curls do NOT stay over night. I use a bonnet to sleep protecting it that way. So I thought it was okay to spray and diffuse your hair everyday then fully wash on day 3/4

Very good! I don't think I will purchase one of those hair weapons but I'll certainly try to make better use of the Denman (if I am not too lazy and I can master the technique 🤔). I'm glad you bring on Amanda for some of these videos! She has the same curl type as me. My hair is down to my mid back, and is so freaking thick it causes me a headache (my ponytail is the size of a silver dollar). My daughter, has the same hair, but as a toddler. We have our wash days, and my dear husband knows that we are not going anywhere when those wash days happen because it takes FOREVER to dry both mine and my daughters hair. I struggle with the Denman brush just due to how long mine and my daughter's hair is so it's nice to see other brush types that can work with our length.

I love this! I have hair that used to be closer to yours and Amanda’s, but since my curl is from hormones (born with stick straight hair and curled at puberty), now that I’m approaching menopause, my curls are closer to waves, and need so much encouraging to fully curl. Closer to mom’s hair now. I love the results on the dinglehopper for mom!!

I literally bought something like this at Sally Beauty Supply in the late 90's for $3. I never used it and it went in recycle. My good old vent brush worked better for what I wanted (the forehead swoop). You do not need a special tool to lift your roots. You need some short hairs in there to help lift it up, some product, a blow dryer and a vent brush.

My waves/ curls tend to go to semi sausage curl when I do my quick Denman brush-through, scrunch with Curlsmith gel, air dry & gentle uncrunch later. Which I really think works pretty. But I may have to try the Denman brush version of this when I want to look extra cute & have the time & motivation. 💕

Hi, girls! First of all, I'd like to thank you for all the effort and love you put into your videos. You have no idea of the impact you have on people all over the world. I am a 50-year-old Peruvian woman who spent most of her life fighting her curly. About a year ago, I discovered the world of curly hair care, and my life was forever changed. Now I love my hair. And you have played a vital role in this. You have become my hair guru! :) Now, my question is: I recently dyed my hair and bleached it. It is VERY damaged. I am already on Olaplex and looking into buying K18. However, I don't know how to combine an oil pre-shampoo treatment with Olaplex 3 and Olaplex 4C. Can I combine these three things? In what order should I use them? Could you please help me with that? Again, thank yo girls for everything. Peace!

I was so excited about this video coming out that I ordered the dingle hopper on Tuesday and it arrived right before I started watching today's video. I had already washed and put products in my hair so I'm off to try your method with the dingle hopper on wavy/curly hair. BTW, I looked at the less expensive Amazon dingle hopper but I thought the "bumps" it touted would only serve to create more tension and friction on the hair I am trying to preserve. I am anxious to hear your thoughts on the Amazon model when you have a chance. Much love, mwah!

What stand do you use for your diffuser dryer? That's such a great idea!

I was born with curly hair, ringlets till I was about 5 and my mum chopped it off because of nits 😂 No one showed me how to look after my natural loose curl/wavy hair growing up. Now 32 and I want to try get my hair back to its natural type. However, now when I was and air dry, I've noticed I've waves, loose ringlets, and straight hair. Any tips on how I can help restore my hair pattern?

Love your videos Mell! Look forward to watching them as soon as I can. Not sure what was going on in this video but the lighting was so low and with your dark top it was really hard to see what was going on styling wise. :(

I have a Denman, no clue how to use it. I'm hair styling challenged, with wavy hair. I'm going to attempt this next wash day.

I wish you did the whole head on the coilly hair model! Do you have a hair model between you and your sister texture and the coilly hair texture?

This!!! This is the curl wisdom I've desperately needed with resurection-level entertaining humor. Shout out to Usher he had me out of my living room seat jivin'!
Question: Type 2 (b? c? I don't know!) hair - what kind of styler do I use??? And please don't say it depends! Extra hold gel (like the in-shower Curlsmith kind)? Regular gel? Mousse? Sculpting cream with hold? Defining cream? Moisturizing cream? Spray? Salt spray? Hair spray? Paste? I finally went curly but can't for the life of me find something that will keep my hair curly for more than 12 hours (I also run my hands through it a lot so...there's that). And then when I diffuse, it's like I can only get it to look good if I hang my head upside down so the curls aren't resting on my face...but I can't do that for an hour lol - how do I get that curl without breaking my back? If you don't have it already, can you make a run down of entering the curly world for the newly-discovered curlies?

I’d love if you also added low density hair, because I always end up with 4-6 curls…

I've used the Aubonacci for a long time (2 yrs?) and LOVE IT! It is the only thing that gives my very long, very thick 2c hair a root lift ! I also use it on my face framing layers that are straighter and frizzier otherwise. Personally, I would NEVER buy a fake amazon copy because if I remember correctly, the owner did all the work -- invented and developed the product and went through all the work to get it manufactured, and she deserves the sales! It's not like ripping off some huge corporate conglomerate -- this is stealing from one woman's pocket.
