    Yesterday I bought a brute force and just before I bought it I tested the grizz on the same track at the dealership. Then I road the brute force again. Grizz had better handling in the corners, and better brakes. But of course the brute force won because of throttle response, pipe and all around good feel. the BF low end torq was just what I was looking for. I can put on some radial tires and fox shocks to make it perfect. Ya, very happy with the purchase and I am going riding today.

    The grizz is a good bike I met this old guy out in the bush while hunting moose. He had a brand new Polaris sportsman 570. Said it was okay. But wished he had bought the grizzly Then he looked at my 24 year old Honda. And said. They build them Honda’s to last eh

      +Dirt Trax Television Do you guys ever review a Suzuki Kingquad? Seems like u have a contract with only specific companies. We bought a new Polaris sportsman and Suzuki Kq 500 and the Suzuki blows the polaris out of the water in every category except handling at certain speeds. the polaris has 300 miles on it and already squeaks and feels worn and the kq has 500 miles on it and feels brand new. the acceleration and cvt on the kq is head and shoulders above the polaris. would be nice to see you review a Suzuki for once..

    Solid review but I have to disagree about it being a great value. I'd say now that the kodiak models are the greater values, same motor just slightly tuned different. If Yamaha would would make a twin for a bigger price tag then yes obviously the grizz 700 would be a great value imo. That being said I always look forward to the reviews and your opinions!

    Nice honest evaluation. I agree with the assessment of the racks. Even though bigger and beefier than previous model years, they put me in the mind of the original Toyota FJ. Tough but UGLY! They are lacking in aesthetics. Every man loves looking at a nice set of racks.

  • @alexandre8598
    @alexandre8598 8 років тому

    Hi Dirt Trax, I want to know how does the Grizzly motor copare to the Brute Force 750? The last model of the grizzly wasn't so far and the the new motor makes me think it could be tight for this year. I know the grizz can't be compared to an outlander 1000, but will I be desapointed to change my 2013 Brute Force for a 2016 Grizzly? Even if a single cylinder only makes low-end torq, the cvt might not hide it?

    • @dirttraxtv
      @dirttraxtv  8 років тому

      +Alexandre Well, the BF motor is a twin and the Grizz is a single. You're just going to get more jam out of a twin. However, the Grizzly motor does feel smoother than the BF motor. Both are CVT and shift very smoothly. Does that help?

    • @alexandre8598
      @alexandre8598 8 років тому

      +Dirt Trax Television Yes thank you. But is the power just "smoother" or not in the game with the BF and outlander 850?I’m looking for a sport and comfortable ride. Also, I ride my atv with tracks for the winter and this is mainly why power is important for me. So, after riding a BF, can I find that the Grizz is not enough or it's just different?
      Thank you for your answer and for all the awesome videos.

    • @eddiespaghetti9306
      @eddiespaghetti9306 8 років тому

      +Alexandre I've ridden a 2013 grizzly. I've also ridden a 2007 BF 750. Pretty big gap between those years right? The BF out-does the grizzly by far in performance and was not disappointed in comfort either. Saying the BF is not as smooth a ride only means that when you punch the throttle, you're going to like it a lot more than the grizzly. My advice? Go with a brute. The name fits.

  • @allencrose3681
    @allencrose3681 8 років тому +2

    The power is low on a grizzly. Only 48 , but can be increased to maybe a max of 60 with the right modifications and parts. Still, eventhough polaris' engine is a pro star it produces 44 horses, and it is a 570. (Yamaha has very restrictive exhaust, you can buy a high performance exhaust and get 8 extra horses, and that is a lot for an exhaust)

    I think Yamaha is just taking it slow. I've read reviews where they say how the Can-Ams and Polaris's are great bikes and have plenty of power, they just wish they took is slower and focused on other things other than that. I think Yamaha isn't going to make this mistake. Give it time, if their Grizzly 700 can do this just imagine what another 100cc or 300cc engine could do. As much as I want them to just release something big already, I imagine it'll be well worth the wait.

As much as I want a Honda I really would rather have the torque and power. But thinking of getting a 500 Rubicon irs for just a road/screw around atv.
