This is very correct. Never ever over work yourself because you will wear yourself out. I always like to know how many items they want me to pack or pick or stow or process per hour. I would take the expected item rate and divide it by 60 min. For example, expected item rate is 200/60= 3.3 items per min. Meaning each min, you're expected to do 3.3 items. That is very doable and easy.

Okay, as an Amazonian I feel like I should share my opinions on this video. For context, I work at a delivery station, not one of the main warehouses. Obviously, there's going to be a lot of differences between our experiences and you should take that into consideration. That being said, here are my main thoughts on the video. First up, he wakes up far earlier than myself and my co-workers. I get up at 11:00 PM, because the shift starts at 1:20 AM. We are all up before the sun, in fact it only comes out over halfway through our shift. If you don't like the night shift the delivery stations may not be for you. His shift starts at 7:45 AM, and ends at 6:15 PM. Mine begins at 1:20 AM and ends at 11:50 PM. That's a 10 and a half hour shift. The extra 30 minutes is for lunch. Thankfully, I only work 4 days a week instead of five. Occasionally they will give us MET (Mandatory Extra Time) and we will work 5, or even 6 full shifts a week. We do not get a choice in this. We can only change our schedule by talking to HR, and only if we have a valid reason to change our work schedules. He mentions that he doesn't like doing rebin because it requires lots of walking back and forth. At my station, all but 3 jobs require constant walking. The ones that don't require constant lifting. You're constantly exercising at my station the whole time you're there. Make no mistake, Amazon is a VERY physical job. You will be sore, tired, and beat up at the end of the week. The job is simple, but it is not easy. It's very fast paced and exerting for almost every position. Just as well, it is also incredibly boring. Imagine grabbing a box, moving it or putting it on a belt, and repeating those few tasks for an entire day. Once you get good enough at the job where you don't need to exert all your brain power on each task, you will find that you have plenty of time to think. You will almost always feel undervalued and unappreciated at ANY Amazon position. Unless you create a personal bond with the managers, they will only see you as a took for the job, one that can get a certain set of numbers for their warehouse. The company itself does not give a single shit about you - you are just a number in their system. I've never had a manager that didn't know my name, but in all fairness the delivery stations are much smaller and employ less people than the others. This sounds like it could absolutely be true for the larger warehouses. I will say, a lot of people (myself included, unfortunately) don't bother to learn new people's names until they've stayed for a week or two due to our high turnover rate. The pay can be good or bad depending on where you live and your circumstances. I make $15.80/HR with an additional $2.00 shift differential. Nearly $18 is great for me, an average high school graduate still pushing through college. At McDonalds, I made less than $11/HR. For my coworker with a Master's degree in engineering working here while looking for a job, and single parents with multiple kids, it's not so great. It is what you can make out of it. Is it worth working here? I can't recommend doing it for more than a year. For the love of god, don't stay that long. Don't get caught in the loop. And if you do, make sure to unionize.
Thank you for this video you did great. The people hating probably hate the word Jesus and hate their own lives that’s why they are picking you apart. Thank you for glorifying our Lord and savior Jesus Christ keep up the videos. I start work soon and because of your video I feel more comfortable walking in on my first day.

i've never worked as a whole foods shopper. my wife has worked in the sortation centers. maybe we'll have a video soon about Amazon Sortation centers. stay tuned!
Out of curiosity how do you which one's your suppose to pack? Like does it give you list saying for a specific box or package it has to be makeup, video game or how do you know?
Great question. The monitor will tell you what items and how many and where the items are located. All you have to do is turn around and there will be an LED light that tells you where the items are. I have some other videos that show this but I’ll make a separate video on this soon.
The area you work isn’t the one I work in you must be working afe2. I work afe1 but the stations I work in the bins are not as neat and clean, the rebin station I work one side and the middle and the pack station same as the rebin chutes. Cables exposed out not covered, the buttons don’t light up at some of the walls and the induct station there is always one person scanning and checking for damages, overages and if it missing a barcode or unscannable
@@FinanceFaithFamily I mostly deal with that every time I start my shift and they don’t do the quarterly maintenance like they did before the COVID and when we put it on the VOA board they don’t do a thing they make excuses
For packing, there are 3 different led colors. Red, blue, magenta. For rebin, your colleagues are nowhere near you so there won’t be any mixup. I’ll make a video on this soon
Next available station? Good way to start a fight. Don't go too fast on pack line? Get transferred to another department. The "POWER ZONE" gets a bunch of smaller items that are easy to move, granted the ends of the walls may get huge orders at certain times of the year. His breaks are different from from other buildings. Some are 2 15 minutes in-between lunch and EOS. I do feel his plight about rebinning, its tough on the knees. All-in-all not a bad job; be diligent, be mindful, and pay attention to what your doing.
i don't feel like it matters if you're right hand or left when packing. SP00 machine and tape machine can be moved. boxes are right in front. repetition will create muscle memory. and there will be plenty of repetition lol
It’s warm. I was actually sweating in that jacket. The fulfillment centers have ac/heat. Now the delivery stations on the other hand have huge open doors so employees are a little expose to the elements. Hope that helps
there was no interview when i applied. it's better than UPS. if you're in the amazon fulfillment centers there is air condition/heat. the work is extremely easy, just boring.
I been working at Amazon for 2 days. Not gona lie this job make me feel waste of my life. Feeling like robot 🤖 I don’t know when will I quite. Thanks for your video.
If you plan to work at Warehouse, go Walmart where they will train you drive the forklift which is helpful for your resume rather than being an Amazonian (aka: organic robot without rights and no work-life balance)
Thank you so much for your very informative videos. I’ve been trying to get a job with Amazon for weeks now and I finally got an appointment to come in to finish filling out my I-9 forms and take the drug test. But I just realized I applied for a Seasonal Full/Reduced position, how temporary is this? because I’m looking to stay there for 6 months or as long as I can
Honestly no one is a temp. They pretty much keep everyone because of high turnover rate. Also if your rate is good you will get a message to be converted from white badge to regular employee blue badge. My trainer was hired as a temp during Christmas last year. He’s now a regular employee and training all the new hires.
Don’t get points be early on time , try to make rates . Don’t sit down just work once you , clock in get to your station fast before 10 minutes and scan! Just scan! Make sure to scan . Because they keep track of what was the last item you scanned .
amazon tracks everything. what you scan, how fast you scan or pack, if you're not scanning something they see it as "time off task" and you can get fired for time off task aka TOT. if you're not scanning they're assuming you're not working.
Hi hello I have a few questions so I start work for Amazon fulfillment center soon , I wanted to know more about the V.E.T DO ALL EMPLOYEES QUALIFY WOULD I SEE WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT WHEN I START I WILL BE WORKING 34 40 A WEEK I AM Eligible FOR OVERTIME AS WELL THANK YOU FOR READING AND REPLYING, 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤

@@FinanceFaithFamily Do you know if hired as a driver for a DSP, could I also work p/t at the warehouse? or vice versa? trying to afford dental implants
I been working in afe 2 for a month now packing I’ll start rebin training soon but now I’m scared because it is a lot of back and forth more than you have to move packing at a station but I get tired of packing my whole shift lol. I’m on graveyard so time seems to go by so slow 😩🙄
graveyard is slower. rebin to me was difficult as you're constantly turning/moving for 3 hours or more. induct is super easy when it's double induct. and it's easier to have headphones when you're inducting. you could ask them to put your at a preferred job, many times they honor it.
Nobody likes rebin. Here’s my tip how they give you less times work in Rebin: Purposely hide the items or switch it to another chute (yes, making problems) so they won’t let you stay there for too long. They might need to pack 300uph then you make 30 hidden items. If you make less than 10%, they won’t bother to change. And if they intend to put you in Rebin, go as slow as you can, then tell ‘em you are getting dizzy because of constantly turning too much OR it’s time for you to be trained in Problem Solving where many weak-work ethic won’t come out and do Rebin If you are sweat in Rebin, tries to make the rate, Problem Solvers won’t do shit, they just stand behind the screen and chit chat bullshit. Have them some jobs.
they are typically Area managers, they wear the neon traffic vest that says "operations" on the back. they just stare at bar graphs all day. i see them walking while staring at their laptops. they scan people badges when it's slow. basically when it's slow, if you get your badge scan it means that you're excused for doing nothing. if you don't get your badge scan they think you're not working.
Thanks for your information today my first day l really nerves what l will doing is there cause l hear really hard l fear l can't pass and they say go home 😍
Don’t doubt yourself. Remember Amazon wants to make it extremely easy for you so that you can go fast. I think boredom And not being acknowledged for your hard work was more important to me than my rates.

It looks like the warehouse I’m looking at caps at 32 hours a week. Is it common to just request more shifts to make the full 40 is that only during peak seasons?
As for the job schedule is that locked or can you adjust it. For example you need two days off for an important family event can you switch the days or what??
your schedule is locked. you can request days off, it's in the Amazon A to Z app. you can't go up to your manager and ask them to help. the managers only manage the process, not the people. amazon is not a people company. you are employee 2987364892927 and if you need any help it's all inside that Amazon A to Z app. there is an HR area in the building with real human HR people if the app can not help.
@@greasycheese8095 it boggles my mind that they want people to work at near peak efficiency at all times. it's doable but hard to maintain it throughout the shift without your brain go numb.
@@greasycheese8095 the job itself is not hard, but requires stamina, which i don't have for long duration. i can do this for 6 hours and after that, i struggle.

@@FinanceFaithFamily hiii, an update I have 1 month working here I’m on MP, outbound, it’s really chill sometimes you only stand up waiting for boxes to come on the conveyor 😂 and all that, it’s not bad at all actually, easy money:)

Thank you 🙏. I hope the information was helpful.
It is helpful to see how other companies pick. I have done some picking and watching the conveyor belt at the warehouses like Amazon. I worked at Ingram. Any job is a blessing
Thanks for sharing!
Thanking God for your blessings is how your going to make it my man ,keep up the good work , I liked your. Videos out of all the Amazon videos I've watched

Why have I spent three hours watching videos about Amazon warehouses when I have zero intention of ever working in one?! 😂
Same here 😂
Sssaaaame🤣
Good don’t. Trust me you’ll hate it I don’t see why people enjoy working for them minus from pay.
The only few good thing about it is the Pay, and UPT and PTO.
I did Amazon for 8 months hated it but the management I had and the people I worked with made it very Bearable… I did singles pack and not the thing that he’s doing. Singles pack is similar to that but we don’t got the walls and shit, or rebin or induct. We have “Packing, Water spidering, and Tote runners, and Smart Pack (Apart of Singles pack.)” singles pack is a fun department but I would not recommend working for Amazon.

Yes!
That’s bullshit. I work at Walmart after spending a year at Amazon warehouse.
Walmart gives you cross-training in everything and rotate you as well. Amazon holds you at a certain job (like this dude barely rebins) until you quit or become weak and then they will fire you base on the quotes/rate.
Amazon is a trash place to work.
Speed is required for results!

150 to 200!?! Where's this fulfillment center at because BFI4 in Washington State be having us do a 280 rate in AFE on pack side. Been at BFI4 for 6 years. Still good information for new people. My favorite spot is inducting. 👍
double inducting is crazy easy lol. single induct is too much (1 person 2 stations)
I thought it was by how many boxes and envelopes you did in an hour. Thanks for talking about this I really appreciate it.
This seems to depend on your specific center.
And if you do, make sure to unionize.
really great input!
Been here 3 years in august 😢
You're stronger than me, I quit in January.
It’s tough can’t blame anyone for quitting

Out of curiosity how do you which one's your suppose to pack? Like does it give you list saying for a specific box or package it has to be makeup, video game or how do you know?
Great question. The monitor will tell you what items and how many and where the items are located. All you have to do is turn around and there will be an LED light that tells you where the items are. I have some other videos that show this but I’ll make a separate video on this soon.
Thanking Jesus for another blessed day is the best way to start your day 🙏🏾❤️✝️

The area you work isn’t the one I work in you must be working afe2. I work afe1 but the stations I work in the bins are not as neat and clean, the rebin station I work one side and the middle and the pack station same as the rebin chutes. Cables exposed out not covered, the buttons don’t light up at some of the walls and the induct station there is always one person scanning and checking for damages, overages and if it missing a barcode or unscannable
i run into problems like bad tape dispenser, SP00 dispenser, bad scanners, unresponsive monitors. they do come up every so often.
@@FinanceFaithFamily I mostly deal with that every time I start my shift and they don’t do the quarterly maintenance like they did before the COVID and when we put it on the VOA board they don’t do a thing they make excuses

I am really hoping to do packing only and hoping it’s on the first floor! Right?
it can be on both floors
Can you explain the system with the lights in detail? How do you know which light is for you and which light is for your colleague?
For packing, there are 3 different led colors. Red, blue, magenta. For rebin, your colleagues are nowhere near you so there won’t be any mixup. I’ll make a video on this soon
Great Information! Have a blessed day!
Excellent advice. Thank you so much!
i'm glad you found it helpful! there are more amazon videos under the Amazon Playlist on our channel.
Great video ! U Nailed everything Ima lefty and I feel I have disadvantage in packing. Could this be true.
i don't feel like it matters if you're right hand or left when packing. SP00 machine and tape machine can be moved. boxes are right in front. repetition will create muscle memory. and there will be plenty of repetition lol
I can do pack, induct and rebin, and stow, but I work overnight
Awesome, yes doing multiple jobs can help speed up the time.
How is the temperature in the warehouse? Is it cold or hot?
It’s warm. I was actually sweating in that jacket. The fulfillment centers have ac/heat. Now the delivery stations on the other hand have huge open doors so employees are a little expose to the elements. Hope that helps
I start tomorrow so thanks for sharing with us. The breakfast looked amazing!

If you plan to work at Warehouse, go Walmart where they will train you drive the forklift which is helpful for your resume rather than being an Amazonian (aka: organic robot without rights and no work-life balance)
Rebin is my favorite position because I’m fast I’m usually in first place with rates 700-900
any tips?
God bless you Brother X
@@FinanceFaithFamily yes Amazon does keep track . If you get tot, it will be removed in 30 days .

graveyard is slower. rebin to me was difficult as you're constantly turning/moving for 3 hours or more. induct is super easy when it's double induct. and it's easier to have headphones when you're inducting. you could ask them to put your at a preferred job, many times they honor it.
Nobody likes rebin. Here’s my tip how they give you less times work in Rebin:
Purposely hide the items or switch it to another chute (yes, making problems) so they won’t let you stay there for too long.
They might need to pack 300uph then you make 30 hidden items. If you make less than 10%, they won’t bother to change.
And if they intend to put you in Rebin, go as slow as you can, then tell ‘em you are getting dizzy because of constantly turning too much
OR it’s time for you to be trained in Problem Solving where many weak-work ethic won’t come out and do Rebin
If you are sweat in Rebin, tries to make the rate, Problem Solvers won’t do shit, they just stand behind the screen and chit chat bullshit. Have them some jobs.
how much longer do you think you can do this ? i luv your videos
i create them when an idea comes up. thank you!
@@FinanceFaithFamily Evading the question i see
Hey who are the people with laptop running everywhere and scanning people. I think they are called site managers and how did they get the job.
they are typically Area managers, they wear the neon traffic vest that says "operations" on the back. they just stare at bar graphs all day. i see them walking while staring at their laptops. they scan people badges when it's slow. basically when it's slow, if you get your badge scan it means that you're excused for doing nothing. if you don't get your badge scan they think you're not working.

Reicieveing stuffs from other company basically you have to scanned and account the items
It looks like the warehouse I’m looking at caps at 32 hours a week. Is it common to just request more shifts to make the full 40 is that only during peak seasons?
Only during peak season and special holidays like prime day
As for the job schedule is that locked or can you adjust it. For example you need two days off for an important family event can you switch the days or what??
your schedule is locked. you can request days off, it's in the Amazon A to Z app. you can't go up to your manager and ask them to help. the managers only manage the process, not the people. amazon is not a people company. you are employee 2987364892927 and if you need any help it's all inside that Amazon A to Z app. there is an HR area in the building with real human HR people if the app can not help.
when you are on AFE sort, do NOT spin in circles, if you turn right, turn back left, do not turn right again.
