As someone who works in solar, the blue is quaint, but is indicative of the deprecated anti-reflective coating applied to polycrystalline (made of multiple separate pieces of silicon) PV cells. The most efficient panels are monocrystalline (cells cut from a single silicon boule) having a microscopically laser-abraded surface reflecting very little light, and are black in color. There’s your solar fact for the day
In the time zone I live, the upload is usually around Friday, between 11pm to midnight. I really love watching your videos after finishing a hard week!
"I don't think I've ever landed on Pertam from space..." Was 2021 Survival a joke to you Andrew? You even forgot what your Pertam lander was for in that series! 😂
Did he ever land a ship from space on pertam? All I remember is him airdropping himself in a tiny rover that he later forgot why he built while doing an end series base tour.
3 names for new battle cruisers, you already have 'Snowstorm' but another 3 could be built, named 'the Hailstorm', 'the Glacier' and 'the Blizzard'. And if that is not a big enough fleet, one can add 'the Ice-storm' and the Thunderstorm' and if one is not afraid to deviate from the cold theme, there is 'the Firestorm' and 'the Maelstrom'. All told that would be a fleet of 8 ships of the same class [unless you simply renamed the Sandstorm to Snowstorm].
@AndrewmanGaming - if the other base has no remote control, you can still access it with the "terminal" button in the remote menu. It should be next to the button you were trying to use. Fun to listen to while I work, as always. I prefer watching, but I listen when I can't do that.
Just in case you did not know, there is an inventory fill meter right above the hotbar. You do not need to dig through the inventory screen to check fill levels.
I'm still trying to figure out laser antennas myself but at 33:10 when you're looking in the laser antenna in control panel, would the Range being set at 50km have anything to do with lack of connectivity?
@@AndrewmanGaming Ahh, of course. I was obviously still thinking of mine which are planetside/asteroid/other planetside. Your 50km will probably be fine, ignore me lol 😆
If you add an event controller on your ships, then set it to connector connected, you can automatically turn your Hydrogen engines, antennas and lights off, and set your batteries to recharge, hydrogen tanks to stockpile, and and reactors to off. It also looks pretty good when you disconnect and see your ship come to life.
I love the video Andrew. Maybe next episode you could work more on the AMG Sandstorm and try to get her air worthy again but speaking of the AMG Sandstorm, I noticed when I was watching one of the video’s when you got attacked by a reaver the ships guns where firing on the reaver ship
You should try making a large Base ship that has a hole with a base that can be deployed from any height with auto parachutes to Prevent Damage once the base is deployed
So just confirming this whole episode was you placing some metal girders, not building them, installing one hydrogen generator and then flying back to your main base… What did we achieve? 😂🤷♂️
Okay. Question, for I may have missed it, but what is the reason for him to set up an ice mining base in space while his main base on the planet was surrounded by ice?? The heck?
The reason for the ice mine is to refill the ships in orbit. Would be too much hassle to have to haul all the ice up from the surface to keep that base running.
If you are done mining a patch of resources, why don't you just cut the connection to the asteroid and move the whole outpost to a new patch? Since you are in space it should be doable? Maybe even build a few thrusters on the outpost to help move it everytime?
So beyond the Industrial and warfare expansions are any of the others worth getting? Been watching a lot of plays on the Mars scenario, your plays, and a few others. really feel like I can sink my teeth into this kind of game. Minecraft meets satisfactory in a full sandbox. OK... bought it, way more complicated then expected. love it. you make it look simple its not...
As he mentions at the end of the video, he recorded a lot of footage. But he didn't know how long it would turn out after editing. He cuts out a lot of tedious dead time spent flying straight, drilling, grinding, welding.

a friendly reminder: laser antennas take a ton of juice to work, so it will drain your space base pretty fast if it's running for a decent time

@@DarksiderJonyeah, that's the one. The rover!

That drill on the nose is sooooo making me think of SHADO interceptors.

I think that is to check the exact amount he has, rather than checking if his ship inventory is full.

I could try upping the range, but the bases are like 44km apart so it should work even with that range I would think.
@@AndrewmanGaming Ahh, of course. I was obviously still thinking of mine which are planetside/asteroid/other planetside. Your 50km will probably be fine, ignore me lol 😆
Hi Andrew! when you were checking laser antenna status on your base, I noticed that there was option "connect to coords" probably that might work
awesome series i still learning how to work the signals antenna thing as well
I am really enjoying this series.
YOOOO FRIDAY IS NOW MY FAVORITE DAY

It's not a Space Engineers Playthrough if you don't forget about energy at least once, and stress out every single viewer.

for the truss light on the ice asteroid, maybe put a truss decoy underneath in case reavers happen

AMG SnowStorm Damage Repair Episode 😂
If you make docking even easier, put a camera next to your connector and use it when you get close to the connector
It's still hard, I use Pam, record a path and go back home automatically 😂
Yeah a remote control is needed

i cant wait for every new episode before it comes out! i really love the series!
Should make a reactor for the uranium deposit

Can't PAM ships haul Ice to space?

Yes! New video.
I only just got the notification, wadafak YT, how dare you keep me from this glory for so long
Lets start working on the AMG Sandstorm
*AMG Snowstorm :)
I think I have an amazing name for the AMG sandstorm once it’s fixed! How about the “AMG cold brew”?
Try renaming Laser Antennas by adding the Base Name, also, I only ever see known laser antennas when the are in range of an antenna. 33:28
Day just got better
To bad this episode wasn't longer.
All the solars panel assembly on a 1 bloc pilar, unassembled. Only one little pinch, one bullet, one little grinder mistake, and it is down.
Hey, it's more potential video content and NPC drama. :D

its not...
name for ice outpost - milky whisk or Milk Frother for having spinny drill
You need more batteries on your base
Garland and Paisley
Man just use hydrogen engine to backup power and make a ship to be powercell to use on other base. Just a suggestion😊
☠️☠️ I comment too soon 20:21
👍👍👍👍👍
ETYYYY
Andrew can I ask why there are shorter videos now but still only once a week?
It's just a concern yk?
