As far as I'm concerned, Disney, Kathleen Kennedy, Filoni, and Favreau know jack shit about star wars so whatever they do I don't consider canon. This is as far as I'm concerned.
Aaron Davis which one? He had 2. First when the ARCs arrived and then with the gunship (who appeared to literally be waiting for the back up order on the other side of the wall).
First 'Oh Shit' moment was when the clones were basically like "Hey a spider, nuke it." and the second one was where he turned around to face the gun ship like *ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?*
this shows what the movies failed to show, why the jedi trusted the clones, why the jedi didn't expect the betrayel and the most important fact, that all of jedi generals and clones died side by side on the battlefield as equals, that's why order 66 was such a big deal physically and mentally for the clones
Nah.Battlefront 2 implied that the Clones were complicit all along and that they were aware of Palpatine's plans.including the ulterior motives, behind the war, like The Crystal they recovered on Mygeeto, which was to be used to build the Death stars main weapon / which their jedi commanders were completely oblivious about. The Canon changed that, with Inhibitor chips, which depicted the Clones as victims who had no choice but to follow orders, of course with the exception of some Arc Troopers and others...
this is pretty old so sorry if nobody cares. but in books like republic commandos (don't even care if it is or isn't cannon i love delta and omega and Kal skiratas adopted arc children)it kinda implies more then just the emperor knew about the order and there was a order to kill him if he because corrupt. and kinda made it seem as if more people knew and they were just regulations to use in case of emergency. honestly that was enough and i could enjoy that storyline. but cannon now says brainwashed which i hate. i kinda wish it could have stayed the emperor order 66 before they could do 65. and it just have been because he enacted emergency protocols first he won.besides the chip that causes them to do that ruins stories like republic commando where they escape and are trying to pull brothers out of the empire and bring them home to mandalore republic commandos was my fave storyline for starwars and it gave insight to the live of clones, commandos, arcs, some of civilian life as well. as well as in one case where you see that some clones who got hurt and say lost limbs got to go try to live a kinda normal life. and i feel the decisions of them doing the things they did of free will because. soldiers do what they are told. so some stopped being soldiers and didn't do it granted its a single book series that from what i understand Disney buy Lucas arts killed the next imperial story arc so my opinion doesn't really matter much its just the way i would rather have seen the movies gone. i still enjoy what they did. just kinda hate it isn't how i wish it was and had that storyline fit XD now if ive brought any of you back to this comment. i hope you have a nice day
Yeah i liked the prequels, but damn it this series is what they all should have been. At least this was officially made to fill the gap between 2 and 3, but it's also too bad hardly anyone knew you were supposed to watch this before seeing episode 3
I'm just realizing the significance of how hype the Jedi was. He said something no Jedi would say...shoot him down. He knew that thing had to be demolished asap.
The reason he said that was another example of how warlike the Jedi became and how it contrasts with what they claimed their purpose was. A PEACEKEEPER doesn't shout "Shoot him down!", That's what a soldier says.
I like how as soon as he loses four of his men, the squad leader imedeietly calls in for the gunship support. He watched four highly skilled veterans get cut down like wheat in a second and instantly knew it was time to cut and run. Smartest trooper right there.
Rico Cintron It's because they were the first clones created by Kaminoans, but they have a wish for killing and violence, and a bit of mental unstabillity. That's why they're like that.
Александр Данилов Grevious slaughtered a padwan with the power of gravity, Killed a Cerean by crushing the skull, kinda-sorta killed K’kruk, Alaya Secura and Shak Ti would’ve died from their injuries probably and he would’ve most likely would’ve killed Ki-adi Mundi if not for Captain Fordo and the troopers. Grievous is a Hypersonic+ character, in case you wanted to know. He’s as fast, if not faster than even Mace Windu, who he himself called Grievous’ speed astounding when they fought on Coruscant.
Forget what I said about Hypersonic+, I lowballed Grievous to an absurd extent. He has Massively Hypersonic movement speeds, he’s unironically fast enough to make a fodder Jonin from Naruto incapable of speedblitzing him lol.
So... did Fordo just basically say to ki adi mundi, one of the most revered members of the jedi council, to fuck off and shut up because his idea was dumb while still being incredibly polite for a battle scenario?
Right Grievous doesn't have the force so he can't really deflect their blasters so he avoids them as hard as possible until he can take a position in there center where the blasters are difficult to use.
@@Warcodered01 Grievous can deflect blaster bolts though, he doesn’t need the force like most Jedi do because he can move at Hypersonic speeds to an even greater degree than Mace Windu can. He even casually deflects them with his clawed hands in labyrinth of evil, simply for effect. Mace himself called his speed astounding when fighting him on Coruscant.
I love how Grievous runs away but he still looks imposing and strong, he does a lot of acrobatics and breaks things while he runs away and simply takes safety from something as logically dangerous for him as a battalion of soldiers armed to the teeth and a huge gunship of battle with heavy weapons, because as soon as he can he attacks head-on without regard and how while ki adi mundi is terrified, the arc troopers maintain composure and strength to fight without fleeing but on the contrary hitting him harder
It's insane how they managed to make the troopers THIS much more badass than any other portrayal of them.. and the other portrayals were fantastic! Just goes to show how above and beyond they went with this show
I appreciate how the ARC troopers recognize that general grevious is an actual threat deadly enough to easily wipe them out and know to keep him away so they aren't afraid to use heavy weaponry on him or to use the gunship to force him to retreat

Man, that moment when Grievous and the ship face off and there's a few seconds of just the ship humming and they stare at each other before the ship opens up. There's things about pacing and tension that Genndy Tartakovsky understands that Filoini and Favreau, on their best day, still can't come within miles of.
@@Brendan-kx8iy No, force sensitive people can slightly glimpse into the future and predict a blast's trajectory to deflect it. Grievous might be fast but he isnt force sensitive, and also definitely not FASTER than a bullet.
@@MarcoAdventures and please, do tell what you’re basing that stupid subsonic grievous impression off of. Nothing. Even low tier Jedi and Sith, even non force using but enhanced supersoldiers like clone assassins or somewhat force sensitive and superior counterparts, Royal guards, and magnaguards have light speed feats that other characters scale off of. Grievous moves so fast to regular people’s vision that he teleports lol. He also scales above people like Darth Marr who can casually do the same to top-middle tier Sith like Darth Lachris, who aren’t anywhere close to fodder given both the Darth title and the ability to fight with act II Barsen’thor. Darth Marr being on Obi Wan’s level at best. This is all officially stated in novelizations by the way, so don’t try and lowball Star Wars just because badass normals get to shine in environments that should kill them within nanoseconds. Batman does this too, yet I don’t see you guys trying to discredit Superman’s or the justice league’s power levels because of it. In fact, in spite of anime characters getting MUCH better portrayals than western superheroes against regular humans, I see you guys always going on and on about it being death sentences for them against comic book supers. So why the sudden change in attitude just because Star Wars may have some common western superhero inconsistencies just due to the writers being human? Learn powerscaling before you try and disingenuously downplay the Star Wars universe like all the fanatics for the fodder that is the modern military who would lose to even Konosuba characters without spamming the strongest bombs humanity has try and do. Him not being force sensitive is irrelevant lol. This is a fictional universe where characters have superpowers and/or crazy cybernetics to emulate them. This is just one of the things you’re going to have to accept, much like Cyborg himself in DC or how people like Aquaman or Wonder Woman are as strong as they are. Not to mention Labyrinth Of Evil also canonically has him casually bat bolts aside from Palpatine’s personal guards, simply for dramatic effect. He wasn’t even trying hard lol.

They never made a "The" Clone Wars episode about the LAAT pilots. This is a failure and a travesty of the highest order. You can't convince me otherwise.
That show would've been perfect for that, too. Would explore some emotional/character driven themes about the responsibility to bring back your brothers to safety or some such.
There is so much sophistication in this 4 minute clip it truly boggles my mind. 2:12 is an ABSOLUTE shot by shot hommage to Arnolds Predators scene. Gattling gun, grenade launcher and all.
It's like an entire squad of Rexes being commanded by _Fordo_ It's... beautiful... I wish we got these ARC Troopers in 2008 TCW... these guys are what you expect ARC troopers to be - shock troops that operate behind enemy lines and specialize in maneuver warfare. In TCW they're basically... infantry officers. Would've been nice if we got just one more clone arc following a squad of these guys operating in an actual recon capacity, alone as a unit. I mean I guess the Umbara gang kind of fill that role, but we rarely if ever see them as a proper commando unit, they're always operating near or with the rest of the 501st. Side note: I really wanna see that 501st LAAT in canon.
I love their style of weapons and gear. No where else in SW do you see the DC-15 flip open, or have an underbarrel missile thingy. Plus those unique DC17s with supressor things on them, and attaching the gauntlets manually.
ah yes good old dc17 with anti armor attachment and sniper with the blaster rifle to boot and a dc 15 pistol with a wrist blade will always be my go to weapons. best blasters and weapons in the clone wars!
I wonder why the jedi stopped using battle armour for protection and decided to go to war dressed in robes. They had armour in the Old Republic and even Obi Wan wore phase 1 clone armour for a time.
They believe that if they were to die it was of the force. The Jedi were nothing more than a farce. They relied too heavily on the force and not on wits and strength.
If I were to go by SW: KOTOR’s logic, it’s because wearing armor will restrict the user from using most of their force powers. But that’s just me. 🤷♂️
Man I love the mandalorian protector symbol on the pilot's helmet. I really liked legends clones incorporating elements of mando culture and the old republic commando books exploring that. Wish they kept it in canon

Those were more "u wot m8" moments
"Finally, a worthy opponent! Our battle will be legendary!"
"Who dares!?" Was more what that look was
this shows what the movies failed to show, why the jedi trusted the clones, why the jedi didn't expect the betrayel and the most important fact, that all of jedi generals and clones died side by side on the battlefield as equals, that's why order 66 was such a big deal physically and mentally for the clones
Preach it!!!
Salazar Ravenclaw battflefront 2 had a good background scene about order 66
Nah.Battlefront 2 implied that the Clones were complicit all along and that they were aware of Palpatine's plans.including the ulterior motives, behind the war, like The Crystal they recovered on Mygeeto, which was to be used to build the Death stars main weapon / which their jedi commanders were completely oblivious about. The Canon changed that, with Inhibitor chips, which depicted the Clones as victims who had no choice but to follow orders, of course with the exception of some Arc Troopers and others...
this is pretty old so sorry if nobody cares. but in books like republic commandos (don't even care if it is or isn't cannon i love delta and omega and Kal skiratas adopted arc children)it kinda implies more then just the emperor knew about the order and there was a order to kill him if he because corrupt. and kinda made it seem as if more people knew and they were just regulations to use in case of emergency. honestly that was enough and i could enjoy that storyline. but cannon now says brainwashed which i hate. i kinda wish it could have stayed the emperor order 66 before they could do 65. and it just have been because he enacted emergency protocols first he won.besides the chip that causes them to do that ruins stories like republic commando where they escape and are trying to pull brothers out of the empire and bring them home to mandalore
republic commandos was my fave storyline for starwars and it gave insight to the live of clones, commandos, arcs, some of civilian life as well. as well as in one case where you see that some clones who got hurt and say lost limbs got to go try to live a kinda normal life. and i feel the decisions of them doing the things they did of free will because. soldiers do what they are told. so some stopped being soldiers and didn't do it
granted its a single book series that from what i understand Disney buy Lucas arts killed the next imperial story arc
so my opinion doesn't really matter much its just the way i would rather have seen the movies gone. i still enjoy what they did. just kinda hate it isn't how i wish it was and had that storyline fit XD now if ive brought any of you back to this comment. i hope you have a nice day
Yeah i liked the prequels, but damn it this series is what they all should have been. At least this was officially made to fill the gap between 2 and 3, but it's also too bad hardly anyone knew you were supposed to watch this before seeing episode 3
Wow, I love how smoothly the 3D ship blends into the 2D environment.
Even 20 years later, 3D elements in 2D shows appear jarring more often than not.

I'm just realizing the significance of how hype the Jedi was. He said something no Jedi would say...shoot him down. He knew that thing had to be demolished asap.
When a Jedi Master starts freaking out... you know shit’s going down.
Terrified
The reason he said that was another example of how warlike the Jedi became and how it contrasts with what they claimed their purpose was. A PEACEKEEPER doesn't shout "Shoot him down!", That's what a soldier says.
@@SuperGreensand Well, before the clones arrived this grevious managed to outsmart and out saber them. So, it would make sense why he would say that.
@@ghostrecon1171 Yeah, Grevious was literally curb-stomping a group of Jedi that had multiple members of the Jedi Council on it.
