I have started using Assault Chip when I'm playing Capture the Flag not sure if it's a good tactic but I feel I'm more affective as a pilot in that game mode. Nuclear eject paired Ronins Phase reflex is so good I feel dirty using it. Overcore and the free battery boost sounds like a great combo as well? Also thanks for the compliment on my avatar or profile picture whatever it's call on UA-cam. Lol
No problem! Assault chip is definitely a viable choice in CTF. Having your titan on follow mode while running a flag is an great way to watch your six. Your titan will back peddle decently close behind you even when you're picking up speed. I wouldn't recommend Legion on follow mode though because he keeps the gun revved up 99% of the time which means he can't keep up.
Liked the overview, but I believe this is still the case as of the current patch: Re: no drawbacks with extra dashes, there's an arguably minor one. Strider chassis (so Ronin and Northstar) by default come with two dashes on a 6s CD each, with 12s to recharge after burning through all charges. If you take Turbo to get three dashes, it bumps the CD up to 8s a dash (probably for balance reasons and not some odd bug) for 24s total to go from no dashes to full. This might not seem like much, but it can potentially save you or get you killed if you're in a prolonged engagement and dashes are bottomed out against a cheeky Ronin player looking for that suicide play.
I swear there are so many nuances in Titanfall 2 like this one that I miss. I really wish they'd put stuff like that in the tool tips. I think I always subconsciously noticed the difference in time but it never clicked to test it. Lol I wish there was a way to amend videos other than annotations but thanks for the information. I'll be sure to include this when I talk more about Ronin & Northstar in the future.
Yeah I was surprised when I started paying attention to it. I'd noticed my core randomly popping up to 30% in the past but I always assumed it was from my core doing damage. After testing it, It's overcore!
I had the best time ever in multiplayer for titanfall 2 recently. I lost my health to the doom state and decided to eject. Then, it had the most tear jerking message wrote to me as I left (they are the best part of the mp honestly). So, already sad from my titan's BT level goodbye, I landed near a drop pod, and saw this grunt. Just... sitting there. Broken. It was so sad, yet so beautiful. You don't need a single player to be sad or have an emotional time, just the right timing and the right messages conveyed in various ways. This is why this game is my favorite of all time.
Great video, I got TF2 with low standards, while waiting for it to install, I saw your videos... I was hyped, and boy, did this game live up to my (albeit short) hype train.
Ways to survive nuclear ejection: Turn around, AND RUN LIKE YOU'VE NEVER RUN BEFORE or: As soon As you see the animation eject, if you are not doomed, Press x and then spam e and hope you where fast enough
Wow. I didn't know all that about Overcore. I thought it was just 30% on your first drop. And I didn't even think of how it give you your smoke! Thanks for the great video! I'm definitely going to go try Overcore now
3:05 Tip 2 isn't true: you can press up on the Dpad for Xbox and PS4 to initiate a warning to eject before reaching doom's health. You must press square (on PS4) three times to initiate it.
Nuclear ejection honestly seems like compensation to me. Oh are you playing a titan you haven't played before, or simply haven't played any game ever? Run nuclear ejection.
Another great video! Have you thought about doing a video of the gauntlet time trial from the campaign tutorial? It's really hard to get up the leaderboard
Oh no, never. I'm terrible at running the gauntlet. I get very average times. I'm decent at flowing with my movement but I don't do well as well with moving quickly.
Turbo engines increase the recharge time of Northstar and Ronins dash by roughly about two seconds. I kid you not, I felt there was something wrong with my Ronin with the Nuke eject and the Turbo Engines, and decided to go test it out.
Gahh someone else posted this right after you did and you're right. I always felt something a bit odd too but I never thought to test it. I'll put up an annotation & talk about this more in a future vid about Ronin & Northstar. Thanks for the heads up m8.
dose asnyone remebr the tf1 cinematic trailer were the atlas saved that pilot with the vortex sheild from thise rockets it was so cool but it would be awsome as hell if they could implement taht feature in tf2 with the assault chip Ex; say northstar shot a cluster missles at u but ur Ion,scorch or any titan with a sheild or block mechanic dashed Infront of u and caught or blocked that missle with its sheild
Rowan McMullan yeah, you can't chase down players while the nuclear injection is beginning to blow up, and you can't just detonate it anytime like you did in the first game
hey,, every time I play this game I have the same feelings and ideas about the Titan kits and that is there are not enough and not all are useful in every game mode. I totally hate that. my ideas are 1) we need more of course, 2) assault chip and stealth auto eject should be combined to form Advanced CPU (or some other name) 3) counter measures and turbo engines need to be combined with the second smoke be available somewhere around 60% core 4) nuclear ejection should also allow us to be stealth, but not sure not completely necessary 5) we should be allowed to spend 750-1000 credits on an extra Titan kit and Ion/Scorch/etc kit and 6) WE NEED MORE KITS! How do u feel about any of this? I'm expected rebuttals to my ideas, that's cool
I felt the same way when I first picked up the game. The kits we have are nice but we definitely need more. I wish there was a "Defense Chip" or "Evasive Chip" that changes your auto titans behavior. I've probably had other ideas since the games launched but I can't think of them at the moment.
I hate Nuclear Ejection with a vengeance, and felt like dirty scum when I used it, but I hear it was even worse back in the first Titanfall... It would be fun to see it in action in the Frostbite engine though, whole blocks levelled because one Titan went boom.
Ha I'm not the biggest fan of it either. i don't usually get much luck with it. But hell yeah. If you could blow up parts of the map with nuke eject, that would be insane.
Nuclear eject makes perfect sense to be in kit. It means if you are doomed you can potentially take somebody with you, if they are dumb enough to be within the range. However, by choosing this as you last good bye, you are left without in-combat advantages over your opponent, only with "maybe I will take them with myself"
Not specifically practice modes but all the Test footage I record from Private matches. You can set one up by yourself in Bounty Hunt or Attrition and practice running around & slaying grunts
iBluairJgR thank you for your help! feels like someone famous responded to me haha, lol keep doing your thing man! awesome commentary hope your having a great day m8!
My Titan deserves the best kit in the world!
p.s. Civ VI upload is coming later tonight. #Rendering
iBluairJgR nice vid

As a follow-up, Live Fire patch notes are out. All Striders now have a 5s CD on all dashes, regardless of max charges.
That titan at 2:06
~see you on the other side~
Dies.
;-;
Titan's are so dramatic ;p It is sad though!
Henrique Crevatin BT!
*3 Minutes later* "I'm back, i uploaded my save to the cloud servers"
Was not aware Overcore returned charge to 30% after use. I thought it was a once per life thing.
Yeah I was surprised when I started paying attention to it. I'd noticed my core randomly popping up to 30% in the past but I always assumed it was from my core doing damage. After testing it, It's overcore!
iBluairJgR Greatly enjoyed the video made me wonder if Respawn will give a 2nd pilot kit that makes titan meter charge faster.
iBluairJgR it's really sad because when the titan died at 2:08 it said see you on the other side ;-;. one say my titan said avenge me
4:18 that stealth legion tho
LOL he popped out of nowhere.
First time around, I didn't even notice him/her until (s)he started walking.

Nice. They really made an effort to put some nice bits of personality into all aspects of the game.
Deekay 1227 there are so many things one can miss when rushing around the map, good on you for stopping and taking it in.
did nobody see the flying gun at 3:50
Great video, I got TF2 with low standards, while waiting for it to install, I saw your videos... I was hyped, and boy, did this game live up to my (albeit short) hype train.
Ha glad I was able to help the hype!

Thanks for adding the tip about the light chassis recharge delay with Turbo Engine!
No problem. I didn't catch it at first but someone pointed it out to me.
scorch and nuke ejection seem like they would be good friends.
They are good friends ;o a match made in heaven.
+iBluairJgR Jihadist heaven.
Love how well you make these videos
Your vids are really informative and sometimes funny. Keep it up
Thanks bro this video explains me lot what I need to know
You are one of the best Titan youtuber
Aww thanks
3:05 Tip 2 isn't true: you can press up on the Dpad for Xbox and PS4 to initiate a warning to eject before reaching doom's health. You must press square (on PS4) three times to initiate it.

AlexWantsBacon2 it's the ultimate bitch move against somebody who outplayed you
AlexWantsBacon2 getting constantly beat in a one on one run nuclear ejection
+William Garcia It's more along the lines of dying in a movie, pulling a grenade out and shouting, "Fuck you, too!"
Charlie Robertson what you just said a just a salty way of saying you got outplayed and your mad about it
+William Garcia Sorry, but no. I've never even played Titanfall, so my opinion is that of a third party.
excellent explanation thank you.
Another great video! Have you thought about doing a video of the gauntlet time trial from the campaign tutorial? It's really hard to get up the leaderboard

good vid with interesting information , new sub!
BA-DA-BOOM! Thanks for watchign
All that being said, if you use Stealth auto eject in LTS then you're just a bad person.
Hey I'm early. lol. I love your content! It's amazing!
i see you growing pretty fast in subs JGR.
Turbo engines increase the recharge time of Northstar and Ronins dash by roughly about two seconds.

I love this video hold up let me fix that, I love all your videos!
Thanks for the kind words m8. You the best!
BWAHAHA that Legion @ 4:45-4:50
LOL he was lookin around like "Which way did he go?!?!?"
I still miss the returns Nuke awarded players for positioning.
Idea: northstar with digital threat and counter ready.
OR
twin traps and nuclear ejection
the roinin phase dashes into a wall...
question for everyone what is your favorite titan? personally I'm a badass with ronin
Josh Bryan My favourite is northstar
Scorch.
Northstar
dose asnyone remebr the tf1 cinematic trailer were the atlas saved that pilot with the vortex sheild from thise rockets it was so cool but it would be awsome as hell if they could implement taht feature in tf2 with the assault chip
Ex; say northstar shot a cluster missles at u but ur Ion,scorch or any titan with a sheild or block mechanic dashed Infront of u and caught or blocked that missle with its sheild
Ha that would be epic. I wouldn't mind if that was a totally different kit i.e. "Defense Chip".
Sordy for the bad spelling I was typing to quick
did nuclear eject get a nerf? I remember it being more lethal in 1
Rowan McMullan yeah, you can't chase down players while the nuclear injection is beginning to blow up, and you can't just detonate it anytime like you did in the first game

I prefer nuclear ejection as it is the best way to give a happy ronin runing with its sword a middle finger
Ha Yeah. It's fun to do that with Teather trap too!
If you could blow up parts of the map with nuke eject, that would be insane.
iBluairJgR speaking of destruction, imagine being able to punch through walls to get to pilots inside 😈

PLEASE DO LMGS
Um I don't want to be that guy but you can eject at any time. Press up on the d-pad to initiate an eject sequence.
Well shit. I dident know over core sets it back to 30% after use. That makes it far more useful
Hey Rob...are there any other training modes or practice modes besides the start of the campaign?
Not specifically practice modes but all the Test footage I record from Private matches. You can set one up by yourself in Bounty Hunt or Attrition and practice running around & slaying grunts
i subbed
good video. here have early Christmas present. what do you call a fake noodle? an impasta! your present is a really bad joke. *no refunds*
Brilliant. I don't need a refund. I'll keep this!
Cool
how do u use ions alt shot?
Aim down the sights.
iBluairJgR man, thanks a lot! literally sat at work pass 2 days, and ran thru ur tf2 playlist. great job !
well then what's his regular shot?
His normal shot fires one projectile and when you aim down sights, it fires three (five with refraction lens).
p.s. thanks for binging my videos!
iBluairJgR thank you for your help! feels like someone famous responded to me haha, lol keep doing your thing man! awesome commentary
hope your having a great day m8!
