I’ve been making this recipe out of your cookbook for months! Your cookbook is amazing! And I’ve lost so much weight! This recipe is SO good, thank you so much Rahul!!
I make it with the lowest cal ricotta i have in store (115 cal/100g), sweetener, whisked eggwhites and a dash of amaretto coffee syrup in the coffee. I swear to god, gorgeous. Try it
I always use ricotta! How much egg whites do you add to it? I usually use coconut milk + unflavored powdered gelatin, for it to stabilize and last longer in the fridge
@@saramarques7986 to 500 grams of ricotta I whip 200 grams of egg whites. And powdered gelatin is a superpower in the kitchen 🤣but I hardly ever use it in this, I make sure the ricotta is already mixed soft, so I dont have to force in the eggwhites to much, when it solidifies it holds itself very good.
I'm gonna try your recipe! Thank you! I used to make that exact amount of egg whites with 200g heavy cream and 250g ricotta cheese for keto chocolate mousse, it would have of course unsweetened Cocoa powder but no gelatin in that recipe. I'm for sure doing your recipe to try it. I looove tiramisu. No lady fingers cookies for keto but just only the mousse itself is where it's at 😁
No, many healthy recipes use cottage cheese and/or greek yogurt, but it really doesn't make it salty or sour. You don't feel it at all imo. At least that's been the case with all the healthy recipes I've tried. It's probably because it gets balanced out with the sugar/vanilla/cocoa, etc. whatever is being used in the recipe
I did it twice, and the first time was definetly a bit sour, I had to compensate with quite a bit of sugar. The second time I used vanilla skyr (pretty much low fat greek yoghurt) instead of regular and it was perfect.
Just made this yesterday and I hate to say but it’s not the best. Something taste very strongly of “artificial sweetener” flavor. It’s either the sugar free vanilla pudding or the portion powder. So if you make this I suggest just using regular vanilla pudding mix and no protein powder
I don't really like the taste of sugar free pudding mixes, can I use unflavored gelatin or xanthan gum and add vanilla extract instead of the pudding mix?
SO cool bro. This Italian loves Tiramusu & thought I'd NEVER be able to eat it again. Can unsweetened gelatin be substituted? Sugar free puddings give me a tummy ache. Ty!
Same here in Mexico. I guess you could use just casein protein since it actually thickens, unlike whey. Also, some xanthan gum or even psyllium husk or konjac powder plus extra vanilla and sweetener in a pinch
It's to thicken it up, make custard with egg yolks if you don't have that. Just heat it with the mixture on the stove with some egg yolks, stir until thick. Don't let it burn tho, so cook on medium low heat.
Yay I’m excited you made a recipe without a casein protein (I can’t afford it and I don’t have the storage space) I don’t have lady fingers but I wanna make this soon
A tiramisu that isn't coffee flavored made me immediately think, make it strawberry or any other kind of berry, dip the lady-fingers in the berry juice, and cover the top either with fresh berries or cocoa powder (or both). Just a thought! Great video - I'm making your tiramisu tomorrow tomorrow!!
Your recipes are great! Do you think you could make a low calorie version of Wendy's/Hardee's biscuit and sausage gravy? Because it's like 400cal yet I could eat 3 😂 Without whipped egg white bread though, the dense pasty biscuit is what makes it so good!! Sorry if you don't take requests ❤
Sooooo my blender isnt strong enough to mix this mixture.....sadly, I am not going to buy a new mixér for this solo purpose....so im not ale to do this recipe.
I've loved all your recipes. I had to put this one in my WW app to see how many points 1 serving will cost me. Would it be my whole day or week of points. No, no it will not. Each serving, based on your recipe will be 4 points per serving. For a dessert that is not bad. Not that I need a change but, Creami ice creams every night needs a change.
If I am not wrong, cottage cheese is known as paneer in India. Mixing paneer with yogurt is not good for digestion according to Ayurved just like mixing milk and curd is not good for digestion
@@arunstalii3666 Doesn't matter, greek yoghurt is regular yoghurt devoid of the natural water which is genuinely helpful for digestion. Greek yoghurt is marketed as higher protein alternative but it is not good for us
I like the idea of making tiramisu with more protein and less calories, but I dont like the flavors. Vanilla? Cinnamon? Nope! There are other ways to make the cream thicker, and it's missing eggs and marsala/amaretto.
Yeah I certainly will and I'll also try to make low carb version of ladyfingers but he's entirely in the low calorie spectrum not the keto spectrum that's why he avoids eggs and butter. I, myself do not believe in CICO theory at all and for a low carb diet, with some alterations this recipe can work; Full fat cottage cheese, butter and eggs, and for the ladyfingers try a mix of low carb flours like almond and fiber flours, also add eggs and butter or course, I do hope he considers making this too.

You should use the cheesecake sugar free pudding in this recipe over the vanilla. It tastes much better.
Any beef recipes in your cookbook?
Tiramisu is one of my favorite desserts, and I'm glad to see a high-protein and lower-calorie version! Thanks Rahul.
I got you!
Same! 🙋

Yes, ricotta is sweeter, much better tasting than cottage cheese for this recipe, it's what I use too, but I could only find 6% fat.

I would add some rum extract to that espresso before dipping the ladyfingers
Good idea!
💯
Strawberry or mango fruit loaded, with white choc protein 'tiramisu' would be great for summer (ik we are nearing winter)!
This sounds so good! I wanna do this
I’ve learned so many hacks and healthier substitutions from you. Thankyou!
I’m so glad! Thank you :)
Onsen as in Japanese for hot spring? That's one of the newest words I learned on DuoLingo for Japanese
You're so innovative man, this channel is incredible. Thank you for the videos, I will buy the cookbook soon
Thank you so much bro
2:55 that's what she said
You need your own cooking show ..love your recipes!! And you're so funny
To get a more airy, fluffy batter you can also whipp some egg white and mix it gently with the batter! (And even more protein lol)

😭
Visually it looks amazing, but wouldn't the cottage cheese and greek yogurt make it a much more salty and sour Tiramisu?

Do you taste the saltiness of the cottage cheese?
Not at all!
I don't really like the taste of sugar free pudding mixes, can I use unflavored gelatin or xanthan gum and add vanilla extract instead of the pudding mix?
Yes
Pro tip- mix a shot of rum into the coffee. It enhances the flavor
What do you think about adding some egg whites (like in the original tiramisu)? it won't add a lot of calories but also make the cream more creamy.
You should make a low cal, high protein pastelito next!
What the heck is that!?

Hi
Is there anything else I can use instead of pudding mix? as we don't seem to be able to get it here in the UK

@@Irken_maniaK I cant find that stuff either. great idea, and its better than the pudding mix too, macros.
Found it in a corner shop...Dr oetkar brand...it wasn't sugar free but was low calorie and not alot of sugar either
Is the puddingmix essential? Don’ have it in my country

What a great alternative !!!! very creative ! Thank you I will do it !
How will the result end without the pudding mix? Here in Spain this exact product is impossible to find sugar free!!
what kind of greek yogurt??? i have non-fat plain.
That’s what I used

Can i use some other than 2% cottage cheese?
Maybe try low fat ricotta?
Low fat ricotta or greek yogurt both work
That's amazing! Thank you for this!!!

This man needs his own cooking show on food network immediately. i'd watch daily

you could have used Tofu! as a better high protein low fat low carb alternative to cheese
How to they even get 1500 calories in that piece of tiramisu? Are they deep frying the biscuits that go inside?
So much sugar and fat 😭

what are these lady fingers made of
Good tiramasu needs Marsala or brandy imo. Doesn’t taste right without a little bit of booze
Definitely a few splashes of Marsala. Doesn't hurt to add a shot of Kahlua to your coffee either!
Add some then. A little bit won't add too many more calories per serving. Or use a rum extract
