I actually really like the idea of incorporating plain yogurt into the dough. I imagine that gives it a pretty nice zesty taste, too. I started counting my calories a couple months ago after my friends took me to a gym. Couldn't believe how wired I felt doing some cardio and weight lifting. Ever since I started tracking my calories and actually trying to cook macro-conscious meals, I've been trying lots of things to squeeze in as much protein as I can into all of my snacks and meals. Not sure if anyone reading this is into breakfast, but what I like to do with eggs is blend half a serving of high-protein milk and a single serving of fat-free cottage cheese into them. I usually use 2-3 large eggs for this. This gives them a slightly stiffer texture, but you can still prepare this egg batter like Gordon Ramsay does his scrambled eggs. They won't turn out nearly as silky smooth, but they will be gooey and good. Just in the eggs alone, that's already nearly 40g of protein. I put these on toasted english muffins with a strip of cut up turkey bacon. All together my breakfast is around 50g of protein and about 300 calories. I may try incorporating some yogurt into the scrambled eggs, as I imagine that would also give them a tangy flavor and I bet it'd work pretty well. I've been working out and eating much better for a couple of months, and I really can't believe how much better I feel. Especially in regards to cooking, I never realized just how nutrition-deficient my diet was until I paid attention to what I was actually eating. I used to have barely any protein in any of the things I'd eat, and come to find out for my particular weight and height I need nearly 180g of it on days I'm weight lifting. That's insane! I haven't lost much weight but I have certainly noticed losing inches in my waistline. Pants which used to be too tight on me fit much more comfortably now, I even need to get a new belt already. I expect I'm not seeing much of an effect on the scale because I'm doing a lot of strength training, so I'm packing on equal amounts of muscle while losing fat. Anyway, I will for sure try out this pizza. I have largely avoided pizza except for specific days where I know I'm going out to eat with friends, and on those days I tend to fast for the day or only eat snacks containing tons of protein. I do miss having pizza for sure, so I look forward to trying this simple recipe out :).

You can actually buy something like potato or oat fiber and pure gluten to cut the carbs and therefore calories from the dough by a LOT. This requires a lot of trial and error but if you get the mix just right you can replace most of the regular flour with those ingredients. I've seen the Keto people bake totally normal-looking bread with it.
Good idea but kinda unnecessary unless you eat pizza everyday. I think just under 700 calories for a whole pizza is good enough. I personally would have added some chicken breast on top for extra protein.
Shortly after making and eating this pizza, I flew into a blind rage and rampaged through my local town, tearing apart every single person I saw. This would last for pretty much the entire day until I passed out. This pizza is now integrated into my daily workout routine. Thank you Rahul, for helping me turn my life around.
If you’re using Greek yogurt, have you considered using whey protein instead? The protein powder might make for an easier mix for your dough texture. You might also consider lentil flour as an additional protein boost.
You can use the white egg so it makes it more protein but because the yogurt could dry the dough or make it more hard to handle the white egg ( chicken 's sperm) can help. Also the yogurt can being a sauce for dip in your pizza slices. And the same time you can use boiled smached broccoli to the sause. 😊
Tbh the pizza i buy premade from the shop is barely more calories. Its 738 kcal so almost the same, its from dr oetker and doesnt cost me so much time to make
If I make a bunch of these and freeze some so I have frozen pizzas ready to go, what's the best storage for it? I usually wrap in aluminum foil then plastic wrap to freeze. Is there an easier or better way?
But... why not just use just a plain old regular fermented pizza dought? Just add the greek yogurt in it if you want to add more protein than it already has, and it will be 3 times more flavorfull than this, being essentially the same nutrient-wise, and easier to digest.

Hey Rahul , since you're a total G and made that tiramisu video, was curious if you were open to figuring out pasta? Just straight up pasta that can be used with other stuff in it that's low cal and healthy. I know you have the cottage cheese pasta which is great, but I'd love to be able to use all the delicious recipes I learned in Italy like carbonara while cutting weight. Most pasta replacements SUCK. It's all vegetables that don't hold sauces, that taste like ass, that are expensive for what you get, horrible texture and so on. Some ideas I had that might get your gears spinning were making homemade pasta out of vital wheat gluten or out of resistant rice. That's another idea you might be interested in btw, apparently cuts cals by 40-60%. Thanks, you're a bro regardless of whether you go for this challenge, just for that tiramisu video. Already made it two times. Delicious.
@@RahulKamat You a total bro. :) Man I gave heart of palm an honest try, got like 5 packets, it just tastes like heart of ass to me. :( Ordered some lupina flour, going to try combining it with equal parts vital wheat gluten. Apparently it makes good proper pasta but changes macros completely. Lupina flour for 100g has 40g protein 40g carbs, and 247 cals. Vital wheat gluten is 77g protein, 13g carbs, 367 cals. Mix to 200g for a good portion, around 617 cals with crazy macros, just needs 2 eggs to hold it together, so 700ish. In theory sounds good, we gonna see in practice soon. :) Thanks for working on it, appreciate it lots!
@@kit.e6864 Thank you for replying with the idea, but I didn't quite like the macros on the Barilla protein pasta (68 g carb, 17 protein, 340 cals). I've made the recipe idea with the lupin flour and it actually tasted pretty good. Not quite as good as pure white flour pasta, but still very good and much better than other replacements. And it's got great macros: Calories: ~394 kcal Protein: ~66g Carbohydrates: ~11.5g (net carbs ~6.5g after fiber) Fats: ~9.4g Yes, that's for pasta. Crazy I know. Still high cal but it's basically all protein now.
Yeah but aren't proteins coming from grains less interesting for muscle gain than the proteins coming from animal products ? Does it even really counts if I'm working out and want to get bigger ?
Doh! Yeah, not sure what I was thinking there. This is about 70% animal protein though; the amino acid situation is probably balanced enough to make the difference irrelevant.
@@fadiji3 depending on type of flour, usually 1 cup is about 130 grams. (his recipe shows 120 grams for 1 cup). So maybe try 1-1/4 tsp baking powder for this recipe.
Cool! I made a dough made of boiled chicken breast and eggs, put this in a food processor then heat like a pancake, sounds silly but you should try, lots of protein and you have some extra calories to cheese and other stuffs
It's from both the cheese and the greek yogurt in the dough. Not 100% sure but I think the average plain greek yogurt has anywhere from like 14g - 20g of protein in that 115g portion the recipe uses. It makes it more expensive but you could also use a bread flour as those also have higher protein content than all purpose flour.
Yeast is cheeper, will add more protein and will create a better tasting product than self raising flour, but you gotta let it rise. Also yes gratung your own cheese is better too
Were do I get the time machine to get the ingredients that cheap? Or tell us approximately how many pizzas you can make to get the average number for ingredients
thanks, i wish more of your recipes might be low calorie but also low carb... i would happily sacrifice a bit more calories if i can make it lower carb & without gluten
Wait so why not just use yeast and make it taste even more like an actual pizza? I dont think yoghurt would make a difference whether you add yeast or not
For pre-shredded cheese at the grocery store, read the ingredients. If you see "cellulose" as part of the ingredients, don't buy it. Cellulose is from wood or cotton lint. Get a brick of cheese and shred it yourself. In fact, I buy hard cheese (Parmesan or other types), which is more expensive, and shred it myself. I stopped buying the pre-shredded cheese because of the garbage (cellulose) ingredients they use. When I look at foods to eat that help me lose weight, quality is imperative, so yes, that will cost more.
I want to try this but put it in the air fryer instead of the oven. We have a ninja air fryer that can fit those small party pizza's. So I would just make it a rectangle instead of a circle. I mostly want to try the air fryer cause the oven would heat up the house. In the winter that's fine but in the summer it's gonna cost so much in AC to cool the house down again.
Kamat bhau, why not add any veggies on top? Also, pre shredded cheese often has added ingredients that keeps it from sticking and turning into a ball again, best avoided unless you're on picnic or something
The prices quoted are per pizza, I believe. No one's going to be able to buy only 120 g of flour, so you're looking at around $1.50 for a 2 lb bag of self rising flour, which would give you a little over 7 pizzas if that's all you were using it for. All total, the shopping trip for this pizza would be closer to $5, $8-ish if you're seasoning it and need to add baking powder to all purpose flour.
I've been eating a Frozen Cauliflower Pepperoni pizza from Milton's that has similar numbers to yours except for the fat content and I've been loving feeling like I can eat the whole pizza!
Delicious.
Already working on a low cal pasta recipe bro! But heart of palm pasta a good option
@@RahulKamat
You a total bro. :)
Man I gave heart of palm an honest try, got like 5 packets, it just tastes like heart of ass to me. :(
Ordered some lupina flour, going to try combining it with equal parts vital wheat gluten.
Thanks for working on it, appreciate it lots!
barila protein pasta is good
@@kit.e6864 Thank you for replying with the idea, but I didn't quite like the macros on the Barilla protein pasta (68 g carb, 17 protein, 340 cals).
I've made the recipe idea with the lupin flour and it actually tasted pretty good. Not quite as good as pure white flour pasta, but still very good and much better than other replacements.
And it's got great macros:
Calories: ~394 kcal
Protein: ~66g
Carbohydrates: ~11.5g (net carbs ~6.5g after fiber)
Fats: ~9.4g
Yes, that's for pasta. Crazy I know. Still high cal but it's basically all protein now.
Why hast the dough less calories than real dough ?
Can Ya pre make a load of that dough and freeze it until needed?
Will that dough freeze and thaw to be just as good as fresh?
I was wondering where the protein was coming from. I didn't realize flour had so much! That's about 12g from the flour.
Basically all modern grains are a high protein variant of an ancient grain. That’s how people get a lot of protein on the cheap in poorer countries.
Yeah but aren't proteins coming from grains less interesting for muscle gain than the proteins coming from animal products ? Does it even really counts if I'm working out and want to get bigger ?
@@newschooldnb1995 I think Whey Protein debunks that idea, man :)
@@timkvernen4852 regular whey protein is from milk.. it's an animal product
Doh! Yeah, not sure what I was thinking there. This is about 70% animal protein though; the amino acid situation is probably balanced enough to make the difference irrelevant.
I love your recipe. ❤ It's so simple minus the preshredded cheese. I love fresh grated not fillers.
how much baking powder would i need to add? no stores close to me have any selfraising flour so i need to order online if i wanted som
I Googled it, and the first reply says 1 tsp (approximately 5g) of baking powder per 100g of flour
@@ItRhymesWith ty m8
@@fadiji3 depending on type of flour, usually 1 cup is about 130 grams. (his recipe shows 120 grams for 1 cup). So maybe try 1-1/4 tsp baking powder for this recipe.
Let's go Rahul!!
Add canned tuna and some onions, possibly some jalapeños, and you're golden.
Spikes the protein count, too.
Cool! I made a dough made of boiled chicken breast and eggs, put this in a food processor then heat like a pancake, sounds silly but you should try, lots of protein and you have some extra calories to cheese and other stuffs
Looks good, but where does that 40g protein come from? no way that is 40g of protein in that little bit of cheese?
It's from both the cheese and the greek yogurt in the dough. Not 100% sure but I think the average plain greek yogurt has anywhere from like 14g - 20g of protein in that 115g portion the recipe uses. It makes it more expensive but you could also use a bread flour as those also have higher protein content than all purpose flour.
@@KingOfJokers013 Ah, thanks. I was completely forgetting about the Greek yoghurt being in the dough.
The 40g does make sense now
Yeast is cheeper, will add more protein and will create a better tasting product than self raising flour, but you gotta let it rise.
Also yes gratung your own cheese is better too
So the "weight loss" pizza is simply a smaller pizza?
Depends on how many slices you decide to make with your scissors ✂️🍕
Could it be done with something other than an oven?
Aight buddy enough is enough, we need a drip recipe 🙏
My guy! Appreciate you
Were do I get the time machine to get the ingredients that cheap? Or tell us approximately how many pizzas you can make to get the average number for ingredients
1:57 realest thing ive heard all day
May I know where did its protein source come from? Thanks
Yogurt
I love the idea of mixing in greek yogurt but I'll use oat flour for the crust.
thanks, i wish more of your recipes might be low calorie but also low carb... i would happily sacrifice a bit more calories if i can make it lower carb & without gluten
The gluten makes this a chewy pizza crust like real pizza, maybe you could use oat flour. It wouldn’t be as good, but still would be good
@@RahulKamat How about using psyllium husk with little bit of wheat flour ?
How can you make it keto friendly please
5:18 infinite protein glitch?
Fr
can we double the ingredients and use a larger pan?
Yes
i don't understand from where the 40g proteins are coming from?
Flour has protein, yogurt has protein, and the cheese. So yeah 40gm
My guy! Awesome recipe, can't wait to try it... I'll experiment with some veg after trying this tho! Thanks for the video!
I love you rahul. Thanks!
I got you bro
Could you make any lower calorie receipes for Diwali 2024 especially the indian sweets which has higher calories?
Can I use almond flour?
41g of protein? From the Greek yogurt? Or the cheese? or both? Seems oddly high.
Whoah, that looks so good!
Does the Greek yogurt affect the taste of the dough or does it taste almost exactly like a typical pizza we know and love?
Almost exactly
so if i have to go and buy all these and it cost me $30 how is it $1??
Per pizza bro!
No way you don't like soft wrap pizza, its dope!
What the heck is soft wrap pizza 😭
@@RahulKamat flour wrap / tortila
As an Italian, reading Traditional next to Domino's fills my heart with anger and a little bit of dejection.
Also a little hint, pizza was basically a piece of "bread" with random things on top, the one you made it's probably more authentic than domino's one.
Please post more veg keto recipes❤
I got some in my cookbook!
Does the book have veg or vegan recipes?
Yes it does!
why not use a diff flour?
Where the hell is he getting those prices for those ingredients?
Walmart in Bay Area, Cali
The prices quoted are per pizza, I believe. No one's going to be able to buy only 120 g of flour, so you're looking at around $1.50 for a 2 lb bag of self rising flour, which would give you a little over 7 pizzas if that's all you were using it for. All total, the shopping trip for this pizza would be closer to $5, $8-ish if you're seasoning it and need to add baking powder to all purpose flour.
How do get 41g of protein only from your ingridients?
Flour, greek yoghurt and the cheese have ~13g each
how you got 41g protein
Flour, greek yoghurt and the cheese have ~13g each
I've been eating a Frozen Cauliflower Pepperoni pizza from Milton's that has similar numbers to yours except for the fat content and I've been loving feeling like I can eat the whole pizza! I'm sure yours probably taste even better though using actual flour and yours definitely cost way less. I may have to get off my lazy ass and try to make yours, ha!
can i switch greek yoghurt with normal one?
Yes but it’ll lead to more sugar and less protein
1:40 Oh nah 🤣
👀
His cookbook is $49.00. Most people can't afford that. At least I can't & I really wanted to get it.
150+ recipes plus free updates so the book gets better over time, and the book teaches you how to reach your goals while enjoying your diet. I completely understand that the price isn’t affordable for some people, but I priced it at $49 because of how much work it took/takes to maintain/improve it with new recipes
49$ is really cheap for something that gets updates over time. If you cant afford im pretty sure you can just watch hes videos
How does the taste compare? Anyone tried it yet? 🤔
video has been out 4 like an hour i dont think anybody has had the time yet to try this :P could be wrong tho :P
LOL someone try it and report back!
I had some yogurt laying around and just made some, honestly really damn good. I never comment EVER but I was so shocked I had to come back and favourite this recipie.
