    a little tip on making your cocoa powder taste more chocolatey in baked goods, bloom it first. all you need to do is boil a few ounces of water, coffee, butter, whatever you like, and mix it into the cocoa powder before you mix that into the rest of the recipe. the heat makes the flavors come out more and bind with the other ingredients so itll be more rich than if you just waited for the heat from the oven to warm it up.

    Hint: I'd use a hand blender or a potato masher to mash up the bananas because it would be easier. Or freeze the over ripe bananas and defrost. You'll have great banana puree. Great video!!!

    • @emberjaxx585
      @emberjaxx585 Рік тому +17

      @@FernandoHernandez-nj1kv it’s the fat in the batter that allows it to hold together. It’s essentially replacing the butter, and oil of the batter. The bananas are the starch(flour), and sugar.
      Now that I think of it, since the brownie is so wet you may be able to add like a coconut flour which is super dry which will firm it up a bit, and provide more texture. And coconut flour is low in carbohydrates and high in fiber (cancels out carbohydrates because fiber indigestible).

    Where I live, at some stores, when bananas haven’t been sold & are REALLY ripe, the produce manager puts them in a paper bag with a handle & they are sold by the bag at a reduced price . I buy those, peal them & freeze then in individual plastic bagies for banana bread or smoothies. I will also start using some to make these brownies. These look delicious, I love banana anything. Thanks for the great recipe.

      You can always add your favorite protein powder into the mix before baking. Also, if you use, less ripe, greener bananas, youll get more a workout(or you could just pull out the Food Processor), need to add your favorite no-cal sweetener, and your brownies will help protect your GI tract from cancer. Also don't forget the add-ins, just keep an eye on the calories: mini marshmallows, chocolate chips, and/or chopped walnuts would all taste good.

    If these are too dense for the people in your life (like mine, what?) add 2 eggs and rebake. You'll need a food processor or blender but it works. Of course, you could just start out that way too and then they'll have protein as well. Also, just FYI 8 Tbsp is 1/2 Cup which is much easier to measure. Thanks for the great recipe.

I thought it was going to be like a lot of other recipe videos I've seen where they lied about the number of ingredients, but this is the real deal. I am definitely going to try this, that is awesome. I might experiment and try adding other things as well, like oats.

    I just made these and wow wow wow!!! They are so good. My main thing when it comes to food, besides flavor of course, is I like food that is moist. That's why I like pie more than cakes, cakes are just too dry for me. Well these brownies are so friggin moist! Amazing flavor and you could personalize the recipe-maybe some vanilla extract, maybe some walnuts, etc. I wonder how it would be if you were to add some plain or vanilla casein protein powder, casein because it's not as dry for baked good. Think I'll try that next time. At my local store I bought the batch of overripe bananas for $1.40 and the 40g of cocoa is like $0.50 maybe. So it's very inexpensive dessert and much healthier, plus lots of fiber. If adding the protein works out than it's the perfect healthy dessert! Oh and I also added a tablespoon or two of Monk Sweet. It is a low calorie sweetener, it says 0 calories in 1 tsp but it also says 4g of carbs as sugar alcohols so not sure how it doesn't have calories. Monk sweet is by far the best sweetener I've tried that doesn't leave an odd aftertaste. It's a mix of erythritol, stevia and monk fruit extract.

    • @RahulKamat
      @RahulKamat  Рік тому +4

      Lets goooo!! Glad you enjoyed! These are fr supperrrrrrr moist. If the casein doesn’t work, maybe top these off with a greek yogurt frosting? Or a powdered peanut/protein powder + greek yogurt frosting? That’d add a bunch of protein to these

    I do something similar to this actually but not quite the same;
    Equal parts (1 for 1not in weight) Medium to large bananas and eggs
    200gr of oats per 3 eggs/bananas
    100gr kakao
    30gr sweatner
    half a scoop of whey protein (I think casein would be better but I can't afford it atm)
    Airfryer 12 minutes
    The advantage for me is that I HATE eggs and oats in my regular diet + I have some sort of egg alergy that I can't eat eggs as themselves something that is not broken down creates rashes around my body so this helps me incorporate them to my diet without giving up taste
