I'm newer to drinking whisky. I started drinking Old Fashioneds 5 years ago. Knob Creek Rye is the one I keep going back to over and over. Thanks for your review.
While it might be a minor crime to make cocktails out of this, bartenders tell me this kind of potent straight rye holds up better when blending than most common whiskies, Scotch or bourbon.
Although not a fan of Knob Creek Rye, I agree with your comment that ryes hold up better in a cocktail. The rye ginger is a simple but good one. A shot of rye, a little ice, and some ginger ale. Great for a 100 degree day in Alabama. Cheers!

This rye is my absolute favorite. I always make sure to have a bottle on hand. This was an outstanding review.
Your reviews are wonderful! Almost like a documentary with Sir David Attenborough narrating. Cheers!
Knob Creek and Woodford Reseve, just tasted by your Dad, are my go to ryes.. Be on the look out for Uncle Nearest Rye and whiskies.. Cheers from NYC👋
I just opened a bottle of this yesterday. Admittedly, this is my first rye but WOW I really enjoy this whiskey.
Where are you from ?
Germany :)
