HUGE IMPROVEMENT TO OUR BULL PENS! What a difference.

In this weeks video we made so alterations to our bull pens. We have been meaning to do this for YEARS and we have finally got round to actually doing it and it turned out amazingly well.
I also talk a little bit about bull and cow fertility and I give a call to action on your opinion about our young bulls name!

I believe there is a grant for concrete. Done my whole yard back in 2021 and it transformed the farm. Everything stays clean now, you can go up in the house shoes and feed cows. Only regret is I didn’t do more

looks good. generally prefer using precast concrete panels as they're tax deductible so 99% of the time works out cheaper. Can always pick them up and move them/sell them on too if needed

You need a pan mixer for the back of the tractor and load it with the digger. Game changer

@@baldysfarm handy for mixing cover crops and rations aswell. So fast loading it with the digger. Top tip mix it dry then add your water.

You shared concern about wildlife ( badgers) and T. B. last summer. A good project might be to show us your practical policies to reduce the risk of cross contamination. For example you mentioned raising water troughs.

Yeh that’s a great idea. I’ve got the idea of a podcast too which would cover topics like this but in more of a fun way than a lot of the usual farming podcasts.

I was thinking that, perhaps take the sharp edge of with a grinder.

An edging trowel would have sorted that, angle grinder would de-burr those edges now its set.
