Thanks for the s/o! Really insightful vid, this is good stuff for people curious about how formats shift over time.
The Kash cards as an engine have felt soo insane just for my anecdotal experience. For a while now I've been mostly playing it as an engine outside of Snake-Eyes in a Horus Adventure Kashtira pile with the Vision Resonator package for tuners/discards and it's felt SOOO good.
The ratio I've been running is:
1x Planet
3x Fenrir
3x Unicorn
2x Birth
and just resolving Zombie Vampire with the 3 Unicorns added plus starting with more Kashtira names feels like some of the most free advantage, with awkward ways for your opponent to interact with it. Like it's happened soo many times where I'll mill both a Unicorn and Fenrir, reborn Unicorn, grab Birth, Reborn Fenrir, search another Fenrir, and even being able to Normal Summon the Fenrir getting basically 3 decently sized bodies on board for link plays+they have to deal with the Kashtira birth now.
Obviously the pros know how to utilize the cards better than most of us, but just thought I'd share 😄
Exactly right Kenny. They could do two YCS a season in São Paul-Brazil, which would have a minimum of 600 players. Or Rio de janeiro. But of course São Paul and Rio are much more expensive than Medilin. Could be in Buenos Aires, Lima.
Brazil is 55% of the population in SA and only getting one YCS per season is unacceptable, this season is gonna be two, but the SA championship will be in Peru! Nothing against my fellow Peruvians, but c'mon.
And Mexico City! Mexico has bigger regionals than in Germany, France, and some in the UK. It's getting ridiculous. Konami is using us westerners to raise their profits. And now this absurd xenophobic prohibition to non asian players participate in an OCG tournament! Absurd!

In 2022 and 2023 there were YCS's with well over 2000 people and one with about 3000 people attending in europe. Nevertheless we did not get a single YCS since december for the whole continent Europe and the worst is that there isn't even one announced. So we basically have no premier event for over 6-8 month in the whole EU until the European Championship in July (you could count Nationals coming in June). This fact coming with the price point of Snake Eyes ist just ridiculous. If you would make a YCS in EU (The country doesn't even matter at this point. The people would go anywhere) you would get wide over 2000 players attending it but it's not gonna happen for the same reason as Brazil. It's expensive. IMO these tournaments shouldn't be a thing to make profit of for konami. They should be given marketing events to keep the player base play the expensive game.
We talk about how lame the lack of coverage is, if it’s truly a money issue then it could mean that the games long run might be coming to an end
