Technically by the rules I have a broken fucked up way to summon 5 of the same card. I would use it to summon 5 copies of Dragon Master Knights. Cyber Stein to summon 5 headed dragon god then de fusion sending 5 headed dragon god to the graveyard and summoning 5 copies of Dragon master knight but you need to remove cyber stein off the field in order to actually fully activate the effect so use a card that removes one card from the field and then de fusion which states return the units are are required for the fusion back to the field. Technically it causes a glitch and allows you to blatantly summon cards out of no where. Dragon Master Knight increases its attack by 500 per each dragon on the field and in the grave yard. Technically you now have 6 dragons so each gets increased by 3000 making all 5 cards on your field have 8000 attack and if you attack all at once they die from the 40,000 damage.
There actually is an even more evil action to do. You need 2 cards to really destroy your opponents hopes and dreams and one is a way to win with 4 cards. Cyber Stein and Back Reaction to Simochi. Instead of paying 5000 life points you gain 5000 life points. Then just keep summoning. Gift card works great with bad reaction to simochi. I never had 3 gift cards but I however did end up defeating a friend with the gift card action but I did in fact use the bad reaction to Simochi with Cyber stein to my friend a lot. Back reaction to Simochi can be exploited quite evilly because if you are suppose to gain you lose but if you are suppose to lose life points you gain them making it a cheeky way to stall a game.

@@redranger8107 "Countering" cards means floodgates and negates taking up all the space in the deck. There's no customization and no point in playing if you can't play and win how you want.
@@clarkside4493 I don't want to play a quitter, a Whiner Who can't take loss. Just with in the last hour let a buddy use my Hero Deck not as good as his showed him what needed had being added, fixed it, testing my Krawler deck (The 1 deck would play 3 Max C (most decks doubt would) due to earth insect; even if had 3 not 1 showed up anyway) which I was about to lose the duel too. All he had to do was atk me by battle; but the card added got excited to pop my Kralwer could special 2 Krawlers from the deck in face down. Then he hit the negate effects one when flipped up lost his atk to get over, atked the other special the one my hand face-down. I flip up Recptor had in hand lost 1st one popped while face down, bring new Soma to my hand use it's effects bring out boss link; top deck my field spell that he cut it lucky me, I had 4 Krawlers with boss link, he can't use effects in battle phase clear over his board. He had no hand left then draws Ash Blossom going to do no good at this point. I don't need to add anything as I have 6 Kralwers from normal summon alone my boss link allows direct atk for 17,300 direct damage with all boosts had. I should have lost willing to lose, but sometimes human error makes a stupid mistake we all do, and well from about to lose to a win can't stop on me. I don't run those main cards in the Krawler no Ash, no meta like that. See I do want to play how I want, I want various kinds of decks, some might have some meta thrown in some don't, some have banned cards some don't (He overcome Kaiser Collemseum once I lost, another Mirage Nightmare in my Dark World tempted to take out when almost cost me used a dark world monster to pop it too won after gone). Kralwers was my cheapest deck, maybe $25 with the boss links 3 at a $1 and think 2 or 3 other cards were a $1 maybe Soma (50 cents maybe each not sure needs 3?) don't recall anymore, it was cheap but it made nothing into 6 on the field to win a game a day no mistake made I lose. I would have been fine losing I'd have said let's play again.
I remember this card. The best play to counter it was Ring of Destruction or magic cylinder. So mamy 2 turn victory's against Seto cause of that 5000 lp loss to bring out his 4500 beat stick.
the first yu gi oh deck i ever made was centerd on cyber stein. I built lifegain/fairys around it. Got it where i needed it and went to play it at my lgs only to find out it had been banned the day before. entire deck was made to get cyber steins abillity off 2 or 3 times in a round. Eventually a pivited to mars and saturn agents but yea it sucked. The lifegain/lockdown engine i had built around cyber stein worked good with agents in casual and in tournament it was a nightmare. I played in one tournament against an amazoness deck who also specialized in locking down the field. Our game one took 43 minutes in a best of 3..... Still have the agents version of the deck around, but its a baby seal to todays polar bear.
Honestly im surprised Konami has guts to unbanned him during master rule 4 then banned him a second time when shs was a thing hopefully they learn there lesson on not bringing him back again
Probably wanted to make Fusions more playable as, you know, Extra Deck monsters were only able to be summoned (Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, etc. Summoned) into Extra Monster Zones or zones Link Monsters pointed to in Master Rule 4.
@@ShiningJudgment666 well yes that true but you card that cheat out a monster from extra deck is too broken and asking for abuse. Again hopefully they learn there lesson by never taking cyber stein off the banned list ever again
The Cyber Stein, Blue eyes ulti, And Megamorph combo in the GBA game was Grand. I had Cyber Stein only once as i kid, i think when it came out in the packs, but i can't find it LOL, i must of lost of sold it when i was a kid.
For a time, cyber franken was the best way to use B.E.S.D. at the cost of B.E.S.D. having 3300/2500 points but keeping its negate. You were probably better off more easily summoning the terrible R.E.D.D. as that was far quicker for at least the same 300 attack increase and nothing else.
I have the og card in my collection. I have collected since the first pack in 2002. I was a very organized kid so I kept my cards in sleeves in pristine condition and alphabetized/categorized each card. However, this one in particular went through the washing machine. I took it out soon after the load started but the edges were tattered. It’s like a 2/10 grade lol. Still have it in a sleeve though
Such a fun combo in Yu-Gi-Oh! The Eternal Duelist Soul GBA Game. Cyber-Stein and Megamorph and Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon. And sometimes with Metalmorph and Axe of Despair, too. And if I gained enough life points with Kisetai I could special summon multiple copies using Cyber-Stein effect repeatedly.
I know Cyber Stein isn't technically part of the Cyber Dragon Archtype but it really feels like konami designed that whole arch type to abuse Cyber Stein's effect
No way in hell this can come back again. Too good. Especially with things like Exterio, Dragoon and assuming it dodges a ban, Sanctifire. The only way it could is with an errata with a 10,000 Life Point cost (so you'll actually need to use Life Point gain cards to be able to use its busted as hell effect), a hard once per turn (more as a safeguard) and no way of circumventing the Life Point cost (make it an effect or just make it unaffected by cards that change its type).

@@redranger8107lol so are we just gonna ignore the part where the cards are being designed by people and they "sometimes" make mistakes that makes the game actively worse for everyone. Banning cards is there to fix that. Some cards shouldn't have been made and it's inevitable, especially since card designers want the pack to sell incentivizing them to produce more broken shit every time. It's really naive of you to assume the game is at its best when the players don't get a say in this.
@@philtess3126 Banning cards for that reason is a joke. To solve the problem, ban people who are sore losers, ban people who are cocky winners. That would solve the ban list. It was when they hit Wind Barrier never used the deck that made it like that, I said no longer care about the banned list. I run a deck with all those, 3 of the 4 outside dark and light are in the one not needed is sided. If they are using earth deck side out earth for a wind, if wind use fire, water, earth. If youdon't have a normal summon get over 1,000 atk then deserve to lose. The Card that can bring it out easy,, looks like 1 of 20 would merit a banning (banned card needs to be used all decks, or too strong alone to be broken not broken combos that might not always happen) thus don't need both banned. Red Eyes Dragoon people cried about, last duel brought him out, walked into Super Polmy what let's ban that too cause I could not use him? I could not keep more than 1 monster on, never could use the crybabies Andacona at all, drew into Red Eyes Fusion, got lucky only to be used for a Fusion monster for my opponent. Dark Magian deck 60 cards got all the luck need to win with cheesy Magical Cyclinders on the defense (let's ban that then it won a duel), Ban list has lost it's mind, gone too far, I tried an very illegal Exdioa Deck won with a Dark World Deck no extra deck too, think 60 cards too 1 banned card yet almost cost me the duel using, and we are this lazy to stop and see the deck it is in before we cry let's ban cards why? I picked Dark World thinking can't win let's try a challenge and test a deck don't play often it stole the win. When will people stop crying over banned cards and start learning mutual respect losing to the same thing you would do if got to do it first?
They should have never banned that card in duel links, they actually banned another card called " bad reaction to simochi" Wichita card the effect was": each time your opponent Gains life points, you basically can inflict that much damage back to them" so people would basically put cards in their deck like Rain of Mercy.. and do most of the damage to their life points that way.. so they also banned that card. Cyber Stein would have been Picard I would have loved to use. So that kind of sucks that they put an end to it
Bad reaction is pretty easy to remove off the board, though. However, in a game that's heavily monster combo based, I can see why modern YGO players don't run spell or trap removal as much.
Instant Fusion can only summon level 5 or lower Fusions. Most of them barely have 2000 atk if that, and then Norden, one of the best targets is banned.
Man, I’ll never forget this day. I wouldn’t eat lunch for weeks/months. Saving up to complete my deck. The week before San Jose, I was excited to go. Ended up not going. Showed up to my local the week after and it was banned. Sold everything and played the WOW card game. Lol my 15yr old me was dying in the inside.
I highly doubt majority players in 2006 were THAT young. I mean, I get this is TCG, but even still. Hell, even in the OCG since 1999, the majority players were in their early to late teens. As in the OCG, the targeted demographic were at least early teen. As every OCG pack, deck and set all said; “対象年齢12才以上” (Translation: “Target age 12 years and older”) And Konami official OCG tournaments (even today) are age restricted. Understand that “12+” ratings are teen ratings in European and Asian countries (including Japan). “15+” is a soft-mature rating in Japan. And Yugioh (DM-Vrains), are Shonen. And Shonen is a demographic term for manga and anime that’s primarily target early to late teen boys (12-18).
I had a deck with this card. I summoned 2 cyberse clock dragons negating all attacks, one appolousa with 4 negates, 1 despia quaretis ( butchered the names I know lol { reset my monster negates with it ) nurturia exterio and a primathmech alembertian. Giving me a heart of the underdog. Combo left me with normal igknight monsters on my deck along with exodia pieces. Had reload and it would ussually take me 1-3 turns tops to assemble all the pieces even if my would be opponents survived my onslaught or stuck around trying to get through my unlimited negates.
Before it was banned, I used Cyber Stein to summon Ojama King in Duel Links. Since Ojama King blocks all 3 monster slots, I won against a King of Games who couldn't play any cards and just kept drawing.
crazy i still own my old deck with 3 pot of greed, and 2 graceful charity, 2 summoned skull, and few 1800-1900 4 star monsters :D nothing expensive, but funny enough i still have one copy of wave motion cannon and secret barrel in that deck. these two cards were always special to me, although i dont even know anymore which set brought those cards. was almost even past my actual time where i was hyped for yugioh.
I got him in my deck on the 2007 yugiho masters tournament. On emulator tablet John game boy advance. If you do the survival you keep your previous life points. Im a bit over 200 wins with a bit over 5 million life points and still playing today. I hope it doesn't crash before I get to max it out.
As someone who was playing back then: Initially cyber stein wasn't played at all Simply, people were making experiments in their chaos return decks, mostly in europe, including last will n cyber stein. And it was working. And after that, people were just making a deck exclusively for cyber stein.
Bro I saw Kaiba play Cyber Stein in Eternal Duelist Soul and now I’ve got the most BUSTED deck build around it and Blue Eyes Ultimate. It’s got Sangan, two Witch of the Black Forests and two copies of Last Will. All together assuming like 5 cards per hand, any given hand has a more than 1/10 chance to either have cyber stein or something that can get me cyber stein in 1 more turn it’s so broken lol
It amazes me what cards are banned and what aren't. Some effects cards I have I'm amazed aren't banned yet they banned basic cards like Last Will and Pot of Greed.
I used to run a machine beatdown deck back in the day, and I'd splash the Cyber-Stein combo into it just on the off chance that I caught my opponent with an empty board
I still played when this card was reprinted, it immediately became the tier one card. It forced you to try and hang onto trap removal to stop the combo, though if they had backrow removal it was just gg. It was either a dedicated deck or the ultimate tech card. Glad i dropped yugioh when I did, they dont care about balance at all lol
Yeah back in the day when they cared that game shouldn't be done in 3 turns... now days games end in less then 1 turn. He'll i just draw and my opponent already has a full field and some how just killed me off before my standby phase even ended..
I remember in Stairway to the Destined Duel Mokuba would cyber-stein into blue eyes ultimate and hit it with megamorph like 1 or 2. It was crazy to see.
We all know Kaiba’s stock deck was OP. I bought one during the time before the price hiked. And was #1 at my high school 😂 ..Still have some of the cards including cyberstein and blue eyes ultimate was stolen but I pulled one from the pack on first try 😊
aww man I used this in duel links with an ancient gear deck and the trap card that let me use cards in my gy to fuss. I'd have all 3 of my big boy fuss cards out on turn 2 almost every game. I was prob the only person still rocking ancient gear I almost never seen it in ranked. I bet that deck would still hold up because a lot of my other traps stop all your traps and the AG cards already stop people from playing spells or traps I forget witch one so there was almost nothing anyone could do or play.
all it does is let you pull out a beatstick for the cost of 5k lifepoints.. you might be able to combine it with megamorph to upgrade the beatstick further but that's not going to do you much good against something with horrendous flip effects like subterrors.
I remember creating a fire/direct life point damage deck with cheap throwaway cards 😂😂😂 I would destroy my friends who had some of the most expensive/popular cards. They would get so pissed. I even set my main deck aside to make this cheap deck my primary
These were the good old times. My bro used this card in tournsments to bring Cyber twin dragons or the Lord.D fusion to call more dragons. Combine that with Horus and that was amazing and still infinitely more balanced than today's crap
I had a Cyber stein wayyy back when thru a booster pack. I was 6 years old and had 0 idea what cards were worth. I have nightmares about it to this day
As someone who love Yu-Gi-Oh as kid I loved the game. Now as an adult watching the game go from trying to out play your opponent to how can I win faster. Imagine going to a tournament and losing 15 mins after arriving. And the whole tournament last 1 hour which should have lasted all day.
Let's remind me of when I went to a regional tournament using cyber-stein the Cyber Dragons as well as their fusions. Plus Heavy Mecha Support, which what was really nasty when you activate limit removal😈
In the VERY early days of Yugioh duel links I used this card all the time lol I would use that trap card that give you 3000LP the trap that gives you the attack pw of any attacking monster to your LP and some other bullshit just to sacrifice 5000 and have some breathing room afterwards but usually that resulted in rage quit or 1 hit kills 😂 then I used Pegasus mind scan at that yeah I know don’t at me.

@@williamdrum9899 when did it get banned on duel links? Years ago when Duel Links was still just Og yugioh I was using Cyber Stein in duels. If you used a certain duelist you would start off with 5k hp so it was easy to bring him out.
@@soraroxesventerra I want to say 2019 or so. I might be thinking of That Grass Looks Greener
@@williamdrum9899 I stopped playing duel links probably back in like 2018. I had a troll otk burn deck (bamboo sword build) that I absolutely loved and then they banned it. Felt so bad 😔
As much as I love Cyber-Stein as card, it's best he stays banned. Now, I would love for a retrain of Cyber-Stein with a Ready Fusion-styled effect to be released, but that probably won't happen. Call it something like Magical Cyber-Steintist.
Or just slap a magical scientist once or a turn 😂
No, too many cards banned makes people the problem if your scared to lose then don't deserve to win. Learn how to counter cards. I have no more sympathy to crying for banned cards, maybe 20 merit it, not over 100. I have lost to banned cards before banned so what, is it this life and death? The goal is to win, as well make your opponent not be able to play, your going to do it to me if can, then you get to cry if I do it first then demand banned cards? Do it to me first and guess what, let's duel again, it might go different next time. It's fun playing, sometimes you win sometimes you lose, just that simple.
@clarkside4493 please unban all the floodgates
Funny how the stupid robot guy I get in my starter deck in Forbidden Memories is secretly broken in the real OCG
It's crazy that paying more than half your LP isnt a high enough cost
When yugioh was still cool, I regularly abuse this cyborg and life points increasing card to summon BEUD on first turn.
Modern Yugioh seems so toxic to play.
That Runescape music tho
I was about to say NOT A SINGLEW PERSON IS GONNA COMMENT ON THE MUSIC???
My brother sold his Cyber Stein SJC prize card for 5k on ebay back in the day
that was a lot of money back then and still is tbh :0
Should’ve waited, now worth 5x more
Hopefully he then proceeded to buy Bitcoin with the proceeds in early 2011.
Actually, Limiter Removal was at 3 copies per deck before Cybernetic Revolution came out. I would know, I played machines back then.
Tried using this card in Power of Chaos, insta summoned Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon, only to find out the opponent used a magical cylinder and I lost
This card won me a big tournament back in 2006❤
I have the og card in my collection.
“Add one cyber monster from your deck to your hand”
Song on the background is from OldSchoolRuneScape
Such a fun combo in Yu-Gi-Oh! The Eternal Duelist Soul GBA Game. Cyber-Stein and Megamorph and Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon. And sometimes with Metalmorph and Axe of Despair, too. And if I gained enough life points with Kisetai I could special summon multiple copies using Cyber-Stein effect repeatedly.
Reminder when winning in 10 minute was crazy
Now winning 10 second is normal

Seeing how it was banned in Duel Links where the starting LP is 4000, I don't think even that would be enough
No, too many cards banned makes people the problem if your scared to lose then don't deserve to win. Learn how to counter cards. I have no more sympathy to crying for banned cards, maybe 20 merit it, not over 100. I have lost to banned cards before banned so what, is it this life and death?
Red Eyes Dragoon people cried about, last duel brought him out, walked into Super
Polmy what let's ban that too cause I could not use him?
However, in a game that's heavily monster combo based, I can see why modern YGO players don't run spell or trap removal as much.
correct me if im wrong but doesnt instant fusion do the exact same thing as cyberstein?? then why is that only limited?
Instant Fusion can only summon level 5 or lower Fusions. Most of them barely have 2000 atk if that, and then Norden, one of the best targets is banned.
Putting sea shanty 2 in an advertisement had my ears peeking up like.. what is that beauty I hear?! Well played.
There are some really good video essays on this and it would’ve been nice to cite them.
good idea!! mostly got my info from metagame.com archives and pojo didnt think about looking on you tube 😯
I highly doubt majority players in 2006 were THAT young. I mean, I get this is TCG, but even still.
Hell, even in the OCG since 1999, the majority players were in their early to late teens. As in the OCG, the targeted demographic were at least early teen. As every OCG pack, deck and set all said; “対象年齢12才以上”
(Translation: “Target age 12 years and older”)
And Konami official OCG tournaments (even today) are age restricted.
Imagine paying 7000 and a weak later it becomes available for 12 bucks or idk 20 bucks exactly what’s happening in the shoe game
I still remember my opponent in locals that uses this in GOAT format to summon The Last Warrior from Another Planet and locks me in XDDDD.
XD
Comic Hand
This was the only time I won a tournament at my local store. This deck.
crazy i still own my old deck with 3 pot of greed, and 2 graceful charity,
2 summoned skull, and few 1800-1900 4 star monsters :D nothing expensive,
but funny enough i still have one copy of wave motion cannon and secret barrel
in that deck. these two cards were always special to me, although i dont even
know anymore which set brought those cards. was almost even past my actual
time where i was hyped for yugioh.
I got him in my deck on the 2007 yugiho masters tournament. On emulator tablet John game boy advance. If you do the survival you keep your previous life points. Im a bit over 200 wins with a bit over 5 million life points and still playing today. I hope it doesn't crash before I get to max it out.
As someone who was playing back then: Initially cyber stein wasn't played at all
Simply, people were making experiments in their chaos return decks, mostly in europe, including last will n cyber stein.
I used this and megamorph to two turn people in the gba world championship game. Super overpowered
I can't imagine making it to the grand finals of a tournament only to draw so bad I lose 2 games in 3 turns.
Then combining tht with trap cards tht trigger when u lose certain amount of LP makes it even more OP.

Bro i love videos like this. UA-cam is my favorite for niche things. Thanks for the great video!
We all know Kaiba’s stock deck was OP. I bought one during the time before the price hiked. And was #1 at my high school 😂 ..Still have some of the cards including cyberstein and blue eyes ultimate was stolen but I pulled one from the pack on first try 😊
I don’t play anymore ever since the game got ruined by synchro
You can always play GOAT format. 😊😊
Runescape music in background just adds to the nostalgia
I don't remember being able to pull out fusion monsters with this card on those yu-gi-oh! Games.
aww man I used this in duel links with an ancient gear deck and the trap card that let me use cards in my gy to fuss. I'd have all 3 of my big boy fuss cards out on turn 2 almost every game. I was prob the only person still rocking ancient gear I almost never seen it in ranked. I bet that deck would still hold up because a lot of my other traps stop all your traps and the AG cards already stop people from playing spells or traps I forget witch one so there was almost nothing anyone could do or play.
dude i loved cyber stein, it was the center piece of my aroma heal deck
all it does is let you pull out a beatstick for the cost of 5k lifepoints.. you might be able to combine it with megamorph to upgrade the beatstick further but that's not going to do you much good against something with horrendous flip effects like subterrors.
Okay now I feel weird knowing I got a Cyber Stein somewhere in my room that I had on my deck back in the day...
When I was 9 I was a Yu Gi Oh newb and only used Yugi cards and traded my Cyber Stein for just a … Dark flicking Magician 🤦🏻♂️
But you got the ultimate wizard in terms of attack and defense!
I remember creating a fire/direct life point damage deck with cheap throwaway cards 😂😂😂 I would destroy my friends who had some of the most expensive/popular cards. They would get so pissed. I even set my main deck aside to make this cheap deck my primary
I played eternal duelest soul when younger and that card made battles go from very hard to easy
These were the good old times. My bro used this card in tournsments to bring Cyber twin dragons or the Lord.D fusion to call more dragons. Combine that with Horus and that was amazing and still infinitely more balanced than today's crap
In MD Runick would use this to make the game absolute hell before it was re-banned lol.
I had the game where Kaiba tried that on me in the first round. Chain boomerang and change of heart made this a quick match.
Good video I enjoy the style
I had a Cyber stein wayyy back when thru a booster pack. I was 6 years old and had 0 idea what cards were worth. I have nightmares about it to this day
As someone who love Yu-Gi-Oh as kid I loved the game.
Now as an adult watching the game go from trying to out play your opponent to how can I win faster.
Imagine going to a tournament and losing 15 mins after arriving. And the whole tournament last 1 hour which should have lasted all day.
Cyber-stein doesn't work as well with one of my favorite tee-hee in my gravekeeper deck quintet magician

I used this card a lot in tag force games.
Let's remind me of when I went to a regional tournament using cyber-stein the Cyber Dragons as well as their fusions.

made two Tops in a 1000+ player field with the card :-D one of a few cards I still have 20 years later, just for the nostalgia :D
u know a sponsor is bad when the most replayed is the end of the ad
I won top 4 regional with cyberstein AND summoner of illusions. In top for opponent asked me what summoner was and did it was glorious!
this was the meta in the yu gi oh gameboy game I played as a kid. once I figured out cyberstein metamorph I was goin crazy
No cyberstien can not come off the ban list, at least not without an errata
Back in the day it was the only way I can summon Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon
