    Caution: Sungazing is not for everyone. Please wear proper sun protection ie) sunglasses, sun protection for your skin if you are under the sun. Please note that this is my personal experiment and what I found to be Top 5 habits that helped improve my vision in 2 months. I encourage you to share your experience of what you found to be helping your vision improvement as well. Thank you,
    summary
    1. Print out snellen charts and look for any clarity change with less blur. DO NOT Fixate your focus but even a little shift of focus to look for clarity is the key
    2. Active Focus - when you are able to see letters less blurry after a natural blink (without squinting). This will last longer as you practice with peripheral vision.
    3. Reduce prescription of your current glasses (refer to the link above for proper method)
    4. Be outside in the sun especially between 8am to 11 am for geting vitamin D as well as U.V. that is beneficial for your eyes
    5. Reduce screen time - small screen and small texts are detrimental to myopia condition
    Thank you,

    I went without glasses for a year because I couldn't afford to get a pair.
    When I went to go get my driver's license I didn't even have to use glasses to pass the eye exam.
    I drove for about another year before I decided I really needed glasses at night because my night vision was really bad. My eyesight has steadily gotten slightly worse since getting glasses again.
    The only reason I can attribute it to not being a faster process is because as soon as I come home I take my glasses off and they don't go on again unless I drive or go to work.

      Thank you sharing your story Kellie! I haven’t figured out this thing fully but I do think that our eyes dynamic nature of adaptation is powerful when we do not rely on our glasses. Although for a long term, there is a thing called blur adaptation we want to avoid. Hence the reduction methods work with great success. We definitely don’t want to rely on glasses all the time. It's really kind of you to take time off your schedules and answer even the recent inquiries. So thank you so much :)
    I got my glasses 2 years ago. I had -1.0 myopia in both eyes but the fear that I might live like this for my entire life was far too bigger. So I researched everywhere and after finding out that after 20, eyes stop developing and the damage remains permanent after that, I made it my goal to reduce my myopia or atleast stop its progression. I tried everything, from eye exercises and 20/20/20 rule to using a laptop from more than an arm length away instead of my phone and reducing my screen time as much as possible aside from my online classes. I'm 19 now and I feel like it's only gotten worse, probably more than 2.0. If I read books for more than 30 minutes, even the things 2 feet away look blurry and not even my glasses help with that. And that is affecting my studies and life a lot. So please tell me if there's anything else aside from the instructions in the video that'll help me with that temporary blurriness. It'd be a lot of help. Thank you.

    • @lifeishare

      Jasmine, you are a kind hearted! Remember this, your eyes will adopt your environment. If your eyesight is -2 now, it’s myopia. For myopia condition it’s not a disease. Key thing is to allow your eyes to adopt to environment and surroundings of viewing far distance objects. I will make a video on this to emphasize this point I forgot to mention. No matter what exercises you do, if the ratio of seeing close up is higher than looking far distance objects on a daily basis it will be difficult for your eyes to restore good vision. I experienced this since November working on making these videos or spending more time indoors with computers I have not improved since even with all my healthy eating habits for eyes and frequent exercises. I don’t know what the minimum time per day is but I am experimenting. I am spending at least 1-1.5 hr outside viewing (active focus) and limiting computer usage to less than 4-5 hrs a day and no small screen (phone) usage and seeing some improvement. But to be confirmed after a little longer period of time of trial. Keep you posted!

      @@jasminetirkey5429 Yes I have it too. I have astigmatism as well but as mentioned before, since it's coming from myopia condition once your eyes restore to 20/20 it will improve. Also to remember, our eyes sight is never fixed, they fluctuate depending on your health and environment. Even when we reach 20/20 we need to consistently maintain good habits. Then whether it be double vision or setbacks all can be adjusted to normal.

    I'm mildly myopic. I lost my glasses once and went without for a bit until I caved and bought new ones. My prescription went down by 0.5. I got interested in this eyesight improvement stuff and my experience is that it does work as long as I keep doing the exercises but if I stop my myopia goes back to baseline pretty quickly. I've sort of given up on it as being too high maintenance when I can just wear glasses instead.
    Sunlight does make a difference, I live far up north that I miss what little sunlight there is entirely for parts of December and the difference in my eyesight between summer and winter is obvious. I attribute part of this to just the effect of more sunlight hitting my eyes, part to me being outside more to look at far away things, part to not needing to wear glasses as much when it's bright outside and my pupils shrink and refractive errors shrink.

    • @lifeishare
      @lifeishare  Рік тому

      Yes true for many! When I didn’t do eye tests since they started charging 😂, I have not gotten worse for 10 years. As soon as I do the test my eyesight shows it to be significantly worse. It turns out our eyesights do not have fixed vision, they always fluctuate depending on your environment and how you use them. They adopt to fit the best hence if you using them for closeup work for prolonged period of time, they will be accustomed to that. (Only taking about myopia here). Currently working on what food and supplements benefited me in rapid improvement. Stay tuned!

    My hint is: notice the floor around you while doing everthing, really pay more attention to the floor than the area where you are looking at. In another words, anchoring your whole perception to the floor, yourself, your nose, shoulders, then you slowly "share" this perception to the thing you are looking at. Even wearing glasses.
    While wearing weaker glasses you will get more flashes of clearity doing it.
    Your full prescription does this without you knowing, it brings you back to yourself, it puts you in a contemplative state of you and things that are nearer and surrounds you. In a technical way, the light gets converged in front of your eyeballs, shinning light in the whole surface of your eyes. Your task is constantly makes your eyeballs do the task by getting aware of your near surrounds all the time.

    • @lifeishare
      @lifeishare  9 місяців тому

      amazing! Thanks for sharing, it's exactly how you should be using peripheral vision to improve vision. I do it by 'shift focus' or 'panoramic view capturing'. it seems to get me out of tunnel vision quickly. but something constant like floor perception is the way to go!

    Also are you saying that these 5 tips only work for temporary improvement or they really made a big change for you?

      @lifeishare  7 місяців тому +4

      I have it printed out on a regular letter size paper. When looking at snellen chart, do not stare I made a mistake by saying the wrong word in the video, i meant to examine each letter for details of clarity forming when looking at the chart without glasses on. I plan to make a more structured format of how to implement these tips for beginners based on my experience what have worked for me so stay tuned but the tips will eventually become your lifestyle habit and restore your vision. since the posting of the video i learned a few more lessons to be shared such as breaking out of plateau stage or spotting when vision doesn't improve etc. However if you are just starting out, snellen chart is a good place to engage with active focus. If you struggle to form clarity then apply some of the exercises I shared in the shorts part1 when looking at the snellen chart it will definitely be easier. I started with -5 and right now i'm at -3 hoping to restore it completely by 2026. I wish you the best and Good luck!

    • @lifeishare
      @lifeishare  11 місяців тому +2

      Congrats my friend on a journey to 20/20. For active focus, you will need a prescription 1 down. So if you are -3 then get a glasses with -2.75 and do the same for the other eye rx. And wear this as your normalized glasses. Otherwise if you are seeing everything crystal clear there’s no room to see any better to have active focus. Also for computer you should not wear this glasses but instead get a computer glasses for close distance. Follow the tips I shared and go do some research on your own to learn. I shared all the links of resources. Good luck my friend!

If you have believe your vision will improve, you have faith and hope which will ignite your passion. Your passion will drive everything you do to accomplish your desired goals. It is true for myopia case since it is quiet doable if you put your mind to it.

When i first started wearing them i felt a little sick, idk if the yellowish tone caused it, today im fine but lately i feel like not wearing them all the time as if i wanted the natural blue light a bit. The detail steps on how. to reduce effectively can be found here, wiki.endmyopia.org/wiki/Guide:Reducing_lens_complexity. Good luck in your journey to vision restoration! Can I squint when staring at the chart, or no? Also I was told by several eye doctors that for people with lighter colored eyes sun exposure on the eyeballs mad harm vision over time so I should be sure to wear sunglasses. So I but darkening lenses on my glasses. I suspect this might be utter bullshit but I am afraid to risk ruining my vision further.

    • @lifeishare
      @lifeishare  5 місяців тому +4

      Appreciate your questions, please do not squint or force in anyway when looking at the chart. Also instead of staring, I meant really just examining the letters on the chart for any clarity changes if you can tell. It is more effective and a few blinks can bring clarity and focus when you are at the right distance so play around with the distance rather than squinting. Regarding the sun exposure, I think it's pretty safe to have morning sunlight(9-10am) come into your face (your eyes) AS LONG AS you don't directly look at the sun (even for lighter colored eyes) but after that, sunlight may become harmful to your eyes so it's best to wear a sunglasses and sun protection for your skin as well. I only experimented sun gazing (5-6am sunrise time only) 20 min for a couple of months and I shared that in the video which is not for everyone especially if you have blue eyes.

      As I explained in the video I went from -5.00 diopter to -3.5 glasses at the time so no where near 20/20 where you don't need glasses. I've so far reduced further to -2.75 at this point. If you check out the links I shared in the video and description, you can find other testimonials of people who reduced more than me. But based on my experience so far, this truly works but it's slow and require incredible amount of efforts and adjustments to lifestyle. But i'm excited that it's working because the glasses I used to wear are all too strong for me and can't wear them anymore. Amazingly I'm heading in the right direction. I anticipate reaching 20/20 in 3 year time line. Basically 1 diopter per year improvement. On this channel i will be sharing my experiences what worked and what didn't. Do you suggest doing active focus at the chart using your lower prescription glasses or without ?

    • @lifeishare
      @lifeishare  Рік тому +1

      I do it without but some ppl do it with their differential glasses as well. And once you get active focus going from snellen chart, you will be able to do that in all distant viewing you do. And this is when you start to pick up the momentum to improve your vision.

But good thing is your eyesight is not too bad you can improve your vision within a year if you apply the tips I shared in the video. Also research on your own to find out about restoring myopia.

      You got it! First you need normalized glasses with -3.25, -3.5 basically 0.25 down for both eyes. And you also need a computer glasses probably around -2.25 or something close, check with eye care provider.

    hello sir, my prescription is -5 on both eyes with astigmatism as u said i am going to reduce my glasses by 0.25. bt i have a question, should i reduce wearing glasses and wear them only when needed?I heard this by some other people on their 20/'20 journey. and should i wear my reduced glasses when going out for sunlight and should i open my glasses while taking a break from my pc screen(20 20 20 rule) or keep em on?

    • @lifeishare
      @lifeishare  21 день тому

      Very good question, the key is you need to see clearly enough always, never blurry, in order to improve vision. So that’s why the active focus is the key and it needs to occur every time always naturally (never forcefully) if you want speedy progress. So to answer your question, since you have severe myopia with -5 like i did 2 years ago, you need to wear -4.75 most of the time with active focus clearing out the blur. And only for close up work and pc screen, -2.25 which I used but for you, could be -2.5 or higher (check with optometrist for computer glasses measurement) ideally you want to see clearly at 60 cm distance to screen minimum to start and you will work up to 70 to 80cm with the same computer glasses prescription until you need to change this glasses called ‘differential’ glasses. You will wear your ‘normalized’ glasses outdoor sunlight doing the active focus constantly AND for 20-20-20 as well. so every 20 to 30 min at desk work, you will find yourself switching from differential to normalized for every break which basically is training your eye muslces to improve which automatically involves near far and shift focus exercises without knowing. I found this to be the most effective so far and working on video for it. stay tuned.

Now I'm at -2.75 and hoping to reduce again in the next 2 to 3 months time. It's definitely work in progress and learning more each year. Tough to balance with work though. But it's worth it. I've always had 20/20 but I'm 44 and having close blurriness problems and trying to avoid depending on readers. Do gentle readers help with lots of screen time? I work and play on my computer. Lots of hours.

      Computer glasses are differential glasses. For you though, close blurriness you are experiencing is something different especially you have 20/20 vision. Not sure if Jake's community has some helpful tips but you should check it out. I shared the link in the description.

      I’m at -3.5 and -3.25 and working to reduce to -3.25 and -3.00 in the next 3-4 months. Try committing to 1.spend minimum 1.5-2 hrs outside looking at far distance objects or trees. 2. Reduce computer time to max 6 hrs but eliminate phone screen usage. 3. Wear glasses only outside looking far distance. 4. Order computer glasses (ie, -2.75 or -2.25 check with your eye doctor for this) and use this glasses for computer screen desktop usage. These are key things I will be doing and check my first video I shared 5 tips. Good luck to you and let’s talk again in 4 months!

      typically 1 diopter lower for computer use but to be accurate, it's better to go see eye care provider to measure it. But your distance to computer screen is good. basic idea is that you are able to see the screen at 2.5ft with -1.25 glasses(for instance) without any problem. It may not be crystal clear but your eyes can focus and bring clarity quickly when working.

      Im not a Doctor by any means but when doing up close work I actually put on a PLUS lens. So for computer and my phone I’ll wear a plus 1.25 that you can find at like a dollar tree. This shrinks your eyeballs length. Case study showed shortening of the eyeball within an hour of wearing plus lenses.
