I saw this video about one year ago, and have been used this method since then; so far my left eye went from -1,50 to -1,00 and right eye went from -2,25 to -2,00. I consider this to be a outstanding improvement to a "uncurable condition" as people say.
Todd is correct, of course. I started at 20/50, estimated -1 D. After about 7 months, began passing 20/30 on my Snellen. THAT IS SUCCESS, IT PASSES ALL DMV TESTS. Continued wearing, and no minus, now 20/20. The best part? It did not cost me any money - just Todd's knowledge and persistence. It is admittedly difficult to get out of more than that. Good luck, however.
i have the exact prescription as your previous prescription (-7.5) and i was wondering if you used a different prescription for viewing this up close and if so, what was it?
aladdinoscopy Todd is a true scientific leader. When at 20/60, he commits himself to long- term plus wearing for all near work. When he cofirms passing the DMV, at 20/40, he quits wearing the minus. Continued wearing the plus - slowly gets him to 20/20. Todd presents this science to us. Further - his information is free - to all who will learn. Most people refuse to learn this science.
Well I am back here after 3 years reporting my progress on this journey towards better vision. I starter at -3.5 diopters, after consistently following the technique described here by Dr. Todd, my current vision is at -0.75 diopters. Personally, this has been life-changing for me. I am able to drive on highways and can spend most of my day without wearing glasses. However, my progress seems to have stagnated for the last 6-7 months. I have not tried the Plus Lenses yet. Hoping the Plus lenses will give me perfect 20/20 vision. Thank you Dr. Todd for giving this talk. My friends who are Doctors themselves do not believe me when I mention the phenomenal results that this technique fetches. But I am a living proof and I vouch for this 100%.
Hi Sird, Congratulations! I believe in Todd dynamic eye concept. I use the plus and my Snellen, to go from 20/50, to 20/30, then to 20/20. 20/40 passes most DMV requirements.
The plus lenses will get you there, amazing progress! I was about the same at -3.75 and I’m down to -2.0. I’m ready to dial in and get perfect 20/20 as well!
From India - Myopia - 1.... Done everything as suggested by sir then 4 months Myopia reduced to - 0.75 and now after 6 months it is - 0.5. Process is slow but it definitely works. Thank you so much sir... For your research. May God bless you sir. Whole hearted thanks.
Excellent progress!! I suggest getting a permant Snellen, on the wall, and you exceed the official requirement - of passing the 20/40 line DMV, and keep vision better than that level.
@@alchemistwithsagemode6087 please guide me how could you do that? I have -3 in both side. I badly wish to correct my eye. Please help. please tell me the method you are following. From- India
In July, I went to the optometrist for a new prescription which was - 4.75 in each eye. He said my vision was 20/500. Basically that means I couldn't even see the E on the Snellen chart. He wanted to do a glaucoma test. I found it puzzling since I'm only 27 and figured that glaucoma was an old person's disease, but upon research I learned something different. Myopia is a leading risk factor, not only of glaucoma but retinal detachment. I've been to several optometrists (both in Canada and the U.S) but this was never discussed with me. I was lead to believe my only real answer was glasses or laser surgery. I did some eye exercises briefly last year, only for a week or two and not consistently. I didn't have patience with it and gave up too easily. However, this time I was resolved to give this a second try... and I came across this wonderful video. I've now incorporated active focus and print pushing into my daily routine, along with a few other eye exercises, and have seen amazing results. In the last five weeks, I've managed to reverse 5 years of vision deterioration. I'm now on a pair of glasses I used in 2014, which I can even drive with now. This prescription is a whole diopter lower. I just want to say "Thank you."
Are these comments even real? 1. You've never worn glasses in your past 6 years of videos or seemed to need them (it is possible for an observer to tell if someone has high myopia just from seeing how they lock onto unfocused objects) 2. It is not possible even with this method to reverse myopia that fast, especially at 27 yrs old
This really worked for me. My eye strain reduced, my eye pressure reduced, my eyesight improved from 20/80 to 20/25. Just a little more to go until I'm back at 20/20. I'm almost ready to redo my vision test at my local motor vehicle department so that I can legally drive without "corrective wear".. No words can describe my gratitude toward Todd. Sir, you are a hero to me. I salute you.
HI Why-me! Congratulations ! I consider always passing the 20/30 line (always pass the DMV) to be a major success for anyone. Now you can totally avoid wearing a minus lens - because you pass the DMV. But the "last phase", to get to the 20/25 to 20/20, is indeed very slow. But you won the most important part of true prevention. Self-confirmation - is the only objective truth - that matters.
If I ever get that low I will without a doubt give plus lenses a shot, I want to achieve 20/20 vision one day and I am prepared to do whatever it takes. Anything is better than going through a laser surgery.
Hi Smooth - "Why Me" is successful, when he objectively reads the 20/40 line - on, "Home Snellen". (Pass DMV). He is very lucky. If you have "weak prescription", get that Snellen. Forget "pleasing" your OD. You got to please your self - and you must be legal. OD have no idea - how to help you -- at all.
I've always suspected that glasses make your vision worse. Seems like all glasses wearers' eyesight gets progressively worse, almost linearly. This seems like common sense to me. And the comments are making me feel hopeful...I might try this.
Me too! My sister started at -2 and now she's -5 because she wears them ALL the time even using computers. I was -0.75 and I barely wear my glasses and now I'm -1. I always thought if I'm forcing my eyes to never try to focus to infinity then it'll just adapt to near sight. This just confirms everything I've ever thought. I'm off to buy some plus lenses now
Do seem like everybody in my generation wears glasses or contacts. I be like who's the new girl with the glasses. I get a good look and say oh she's not new, look different with glasses.
For real then (yet to see the video)? Sometimes opticians asked me why i don't use my glasses (i'm -2 / -1 ) and i would say : why should i? I've always suspected too that not forcing your eyes to work they would get lazy. The opticians say the its the other way around....
yes I agree I wore glasses from a very young age, now at 70 yr old I decided to do with out them for a couple of years and take some vitamins...my vision has improved somewhat. glasses don't help vision.

My son got shortsighted. I almost cried from unhappiness and disappointment when the optometrist said ‘There is no way to correct it, it will only get worse and worse and need to wear glasses and contact lenses to slowdown the progression of myopia’. But I looked for the way to help my son, and I found this video. I almost cried from happiness when I was listening to Todd. I am now working with my son everyday on active focusing… we hope we can get normal vision back for him after couple of years. Thank you Dr. Todd. Bow to you Sir. :)
@@cosltygaming8200 if i could get reduced lense i would get one of 1 for the left eye. Don't wear lenses when doing close up work. Practice active vision . Have good quality outside time. Most importantly search up Jake Steiner and follow his advice. Bates method is kind of a scam so don't waste your time. Follow Jake steiner advice especially in the beginning. Also try listening to audio instead of staring at the screen for hours
I lost my glasses and went without them for 13 months... to my surprise my eyesight improve in my left eye. I was expecting it to be worse... I was baffled and so was my optometrist. This certainly explains it.
You know when you find a doctor when his frame is all about explaining how things cannot be healed or fixed without him help. You see, Todd is different, he empowers you!!
Todd is an original "creative thinker". As an Engineer, he is not intimidated by "official medical thinking". He just started checking "wires", and saw better vision. The plus, makes scientific sense. From "first principles", the minus makes no scientific sense - at all. So he took the plunge, at 20/60, and got back to PASS the DMV, and then gradually, to 20/20, or positive refractive STATE. It will never be easy. You must understand it.

I’m a software engineer so found his solution great. I am currently at 20/30 in both eyes from 20/70 right eye and 20/100 left eye. Currently wearing +2.5 when doing close up 30 minutes at a time.
I've been doing this for like 2 years and it really does work. You just gotta be patient, at least in my case my vision improves quite slowly. But as Mr. Becker said, you have to keep in mind how long it took your myopia to develop. It's just logical that you need quite a while to reverse this whole process.
I am pretty sure he is still doing it. If it doesn't work, no one would do this longer than a month. For him, it is 2 years. For me, i am on my 2nd month.
Thank you very much Dr Todd Becker , I could restore my natural vision after believing you and practised for one year. My myopia is completely reversed .
Hi Arkaya, We greatly appreciate Todd, and your efforts! I measured my eyes going from 20/50 ( -1 Diopter) to, 20/20 (+0.5 Diopters) in about one year. It is tragic that no one is offered this disciplined alternative, when they can have the scientific insights to do recovery - at that point in their lives.

My myopia went from -3.25 to -2.00 in one year, confirmed by my eye doctor. The only life styles changes I had during that year are more time spending outdoors and not using any glasses for near work.
I discovered this on my own when I was training my autistic child's bed time routine. Every night I would be in his room for 45 mins. In the pitch darkness. In the corner of the room 15 feet away was a digital clock with 2" red letters. Bored, I would make the blurred letters come together best I could. Over a few months I discovered I was getting better at it. When I visited my optometrist later that year, my vision had improved by 0.5 D. She discounted it by saying is was my age and then tricked me into trying RK. What a disaster. I can't wait to never go back! Thanks
I could write a book on this. I’ve gone through many iterations of this until finally figuring out what worked for me. The problem I was having was putting too much emphasis on consciously controlling my focus which would cascade to strain on my extraocular muscles. General eye strain would inevitably set in and the effort would end in frustration. This went on for a loooong time. I eventually had surgery which bridged a chunk of the gap, but I realized to my dismay after the settling period that my night vision was still haloed and poor and my day vision was still very compromised. This went on for a year after surgery. The blessing from surgery is it still created less strenuous conditions for me to learn proper techniques. It also put me in a frame of mind that I simply had to figure it out, since I couldn’t rely on surgery to fix everything. What finally worked for me was realizing that I needed to create conditions for my eyes to do their own work. And I had to deliberately fight against the predisposition to force it along (my primary bad habit). So, well lit spaces, low stress, giving the eyes time to decide when they were going to relax and accommodate to the far detail I was gazing upon. It took a couple months to accomplish what I couldn’t do previously no matter how hard I tried. Previously I would have some successes and my eyes would seem like they were progressing, but overstrain would inevitably disrupt that success and send me into discouragement. But this time, with my revised approach, I got over that hump, and understood better the bad habits that engendered the original issue from third grade, I have had excellent eyesight since. I finally felt confident enough to go get my eye exam as part of my flight physical for pursuing a PPL. They declared me greater than 20/20, and I know from looking at my eye chart on a daily basis for the prior couple months I never would’ve passed otherwise, nor would I have wanted to fly in that state, especially in low light conditions. When your eyes start to accommodate, it can sometimes create a light stinging sensation and eye watering. This dissipates as your eyes adjust to the new normal. I cannot over emphasize enough: you have to get out of your head. This is where I believe the Gym/exercise analogy may fail people. Your subconscious focusing faculty has to drive this process and you only need to create the conditions for it to do so. By the way, a good nights sleep and hydration, etc. are essential, or your eyes will simply not play ball. Also, there is something to be said for perhaps needing to learn this process under less strenuous conditions. For example if your present vision is very bad, as mine was, you may need partial accommodation to be able to relax learn the correct passive technique and then you can lose the crutch. Or as he did here, find the edge of focus. I had a hard time doing that. Also, reading especially during work on a computer, is more strenuous than what is needed here. Lightly look at text. That’s different from reading. Hope this helps, and that people can learn from my mistakes.
Hi Eric, An excellent report. I am a pilot also, and check for my own vision on my Snellen for 20/20. I also wasted my time attempting to get truth our of medicne. They seem to want to "protect themselves", rather than being honest with me about the truly adverse effect a minus lens always has on my vision - when I start wearing a minus. I need scientific honesty from them - when I am 20/40 - that they will never provide.
Great! It lookes like the mind doesnt want embrace the light, the full picture. I think these days that we are holding something on our minds that prevents us to enable eyes do its work. In another words, we are constantly fighting our thoughts/values/ and losing our senses. Mind is like a blue sky, thoughts its like clouds, they come and go. What does make clouds come and go? Wind. Wind here is our breathing pattern, when we stop breathing properly we get lost on our thoughts. Thoughts trigger eye scans, as William James said 150 years ago. Then Bates pointed that eyes should move more together with the head in order to not trigger a lots of thoughts and nervous system pattern/reflex. People on myopia are living in a storm of heavy clouds, they need a blue sky with proper Wind blowing. They need relaxation through some human reflex like diving reflex, floating on a pool, bouncing on a hammock, walking barefoot, and never stop breathing.
Great and logical comment (unlike the replies rambling about distrust of authority and mindless philosophy lol). Thank you. I always wondered if i shouldve tried to actively focus my eyes far.
I think this information is absolutely useful. It happen to me I used to use glasses for years and I cure my self almost with similar technique he mentions. I don't need glasses anymore!!!! thank you very much!!!!
I had 20 20 vision during the lockdown being on my phone all day all the sudden I noticed while I am driving my vision was sort of burly looking at distance objects. I went to the doctor he gave me glasses but when I asked him about improving my vision, he was basically like too bad you are stuck with me kind of approach. This makes totally sense if you don’t have any other condition in your eyes.
I can see a massive connection between people going through academic education and wearing glasses. I find science students tend to do the hardest subjects and usually myopia develops pre 16 and post; the earliest sign. I have 3 nieces who all have developed myopia and in full time education. The amount of stress the eyes are going through during close up work is harmful.
Our eyes are directly connected to our brains. So when we stress out, our eyes strain. Maybe our education model is completely wrong if it's hurting us. And our medical model is also wrong by not helping our health.
This Is well estabilished medical knowledge. Myopic peapole see easily from near, without muscolare effort, so if whan you are still developoning work most from near distanze, your body helps you and adapt to see easier from near. Just you can not Reverse It, because Is the Eye that became physichally longer..
I’m am so glad that I found this video!! I’m 15 years old my eyesight is not that bad but not perfect... I’m so excited about this I can feel it already working!!
Hi Rama - More courage to you! I will post a, "Computer Snellen", so you can estimate you Visual Acuity. The standard we must eventually pass is DMV mandated. That is read 20/70, and 20/40. Both eyes open, 20/40. If you are close to these value, you can learn a great deal, and profoundly improve your vision.
Re driving/night vision becoming more difficult as we get older: when headlamp glare and bright lights become a problem, and reading black letters on a bright white background becomes difficult, this is often a sign that cataracts are forming . Surgical treatment is very effective in the majority of cases.
Im so desperate to find a solution to this. Having myopia had affected my life to a point that I get depressed when I realized this has no treatment but this video give me hope. Thanks!
I read a book about curing your eyesight naturally a long time ago. I was convinced but eventually was persuaded that improving eyesight couldn’t happen. Now thanks to this video, I’ll pick up my efforts again.
Yes, this does work. I wear monthly contacts. My vision was -4.25 rt eye & -4.00 lt eye. My doctor suggested mono-vision lenses about 10 yrs ago, for distance and mid-range. But the longer I was using them my near vision got worse and started using cheaters for EVERYTHING. My new doctor worked with me and we changed to a -1.75 rt eye & -.50 lt eye, therefore I didn't need cheaters but did need driving glasses. That wasn't so bad. Now my distance has improved to -2.75. Yay!
Hi, my son has -4 and -3.75. He is 9 and we found out he had -3 and -3.25 last year. We stay home quite a bit since we homeschool this year but last year I blamed the distance learning and me not aware that this could happen. I am very determined to help him. Last year the optometrist was blaming my husband saying its genetics. However, I dont believe he got it genetically. I am interested in how your optometrist help to reduce yours and I am thinking about asking his optometrist would work with us. Thank you! If not, I am thinking about ordering less prescription glasses in a progressive manner, like -0.25 to 0.5. Can you share how you reduce yours? Thank you
My instincts always told me to take a break and look at the most distant thing like a mountain. I thought that we are always looking at short distances in our modern live. Must be logical that our eyes adapt to looking at short distances.
@@dpage9346 I don't think it's just that, I think it's also the amount of time you spend outside, in the sun. Children who spend all day outside almost never have myopia because sunlight can change the shape of your corneas, as your eyes adapt to seeing in the light, outside where things are far away. Myopia happens if you spend most of your days indoors, only getting 2-3 hours of sunlight. Your corneas will become deformed over time, children nowadays are quarantined and very rarely go outside. Sunlight are one of the key components to good eyesight
After progressing to -3.25 + -3.50 with contacts over 20 years a new optometrist suggested monovision. It's completely in sync with what you propose and I now wear no lenses at all.
That is a great idea. There is a normal difference between the eyes of 1 diopter. (They are very lucky) If you have 0 diopters in one eye, you read 20/20. If you have -1 diopters, in the other eye, 20/50, perhaps. But if you are older than 45, you have natural Monovision. Clear vision, from infinity, to 20 inches. No glasses at all, until age 80.
It is nice to see Todd go from 20/50 to 20/20 by self measurement. Tragically, no one else even looks at a Snellen to verify. This is the best history of the problem and its solution.
I watch this a few years back and never did any of his suggestion. Today i watch again and this time i listen carefully. I did for about 10 minute with left eye closed and i already feel something is happening. As of today i will now do as he suggested for at least a year and more. I am excited to get back my eyes to see small letters
I m shocked to see so manynegative comments. If you don't try, how do you it's not working? Most importantly, ppl who say it cannot be done should not interrupt those who are doing it. That said, nothing to lose to try and concern the wellbeing of our eyes
Don't overuse plus. It could also be harmful at some extent. So don't exaggerate, The main things to do to improve are the called "Active Focus" (or fushing gosted image focusing) and print pushings, as the essentials.
There are different type of goals on this stuff: - Seeing 20/40 on your own Snellen Chart. - Sering 20/20 on your Snellen Chart. - Pass the DMV test. - Having better eyesight for distance. - Having an optometrist conffirmation of improvement. - Being less dependent of glasses. - Improving over all health. The list is giant and all goals are valid ones.
Such a great talk. I finally convinced with the science behind natural restoration. I love the humility and simplicity in his approach. I'm gonna make it for sure, because i believe.
Belief is not what causes eyes to change. Reversing myopia can be a lengthy process. Belief keeps you motivated to continue doing the things that will eventually reverse myopia.
I am inclined to believe this study (which is based on adaptability of the human body). Seen too many kids with very mild eye issues .. who instead of working for a fix started to wear "temporary" glasses.. only to become permanent later down the road. Basically, instead of putting their eyes at work and in a discomfort, they were prescribed a "lay back" solution. So their eyes became less and less working towards fixing themselves. It's like when you are fatigued cause you lack muscle mass (as you age), instead of starting to workout .. you sleep more and take longer rests.
Another related is schooling and inside people do not expose the eyes to natural sunlight. And studies have confirmed the need to be outside, exposed to natural light.
WOW. I've been actually doing the exact same thing but nowhere near as much. Since my eyesight went really bad, and went back to my old workplace. I noticed I couldn't even read the location labels on the shelf anymore. Same with the mobile phone when put further away I couldn't see the contents as well. I had to train my eye and naturally the first thing that came to mind was, make it do whatever it can't do. I used to force eyes to watch long distance out of my room window. Following the horizon and furthest point. Also focusing on several objects at different distance in distance order. Then going back and forth etc. This is when I noticed the double image incident where you see rooftopline but fainter lines coming out of it which are parallel. Eventually they focus in to the sharpest one Also tried reading at the zone where it's just outside natural focus and slowly moving the "natural focus point further and further" Even though I hardly ever do it. When I actually do it..you can literally see that the focus distance increases temporarily. You can try right now as you read this. Push your phone back until its just outside your natural focus. Hold it there and leave your eyes natural without stress or focusing hard. Eventually the new position will be easier to read. Push slightly further and repeat process. But keep going back and forth with the actual focus point. This works like reps during a workout..
Nope, that's not your eyes doing the work if double vision fuses like that. It's your brain doing that. Short term improvements like these mean nothing. You need to get prescription checked by a machine and not letter chart to confirm any actual improvements.
Heyy ertugul bae ,thanks for your wonderful explanation . I want to ask you that I have myopia like double vision -0.75 prescription ,how long time it will take to be 20-20?? Pls give a reply
Todd is doing a great job! Getting "a reduced lens" from any OD is almost impossible. Getting him to help you! That is why I get my TEST LENSES from Zennioptical. Two pair for $28. Yes, he was close enough to 20/50, so he could correctly use a plus for a myopia prevention role. I use a Snellen for my efforts, starting at 20/50 (-1 Diopter). Success is a long-term process. Don't kid yourself. I think a dedicated pilot, at 20/60, could slowly get to 20/40, passes FAA 3rd CLASS (private pilot) and eventually to 20/20. It would take two years - my estimate. I am pleased Todd made himself successful.
Todd at his worst was -3.0 and had started the plus lens when he was -1.75. It proves that just going cold turkey for a while can improve your vision by at least -1.00 diopeter. So the healing begins when you stop wearing them period. Reducing your close up work and doing lots of long distance viewing is important to healing as this reduces the diopeters. Todd also used reading glasses for long distance and used alot of David de angelise's techniques to improve his vision. Todds technique is a bit different from David de angelis but it is basically similar principles. There are various techniques to reduce Myopia and plus lens and print pushing is one of them.
You must stop wearing glasses and reduce your prescription and wear them only when you need them. You must give your eyes time to heal and I suggest reducing your reading and even TV watching. Also have an eyetest after 1 year and see if the number has reduced. You must also become more of an outdoor person than a bookish person who is stuck home and and is always watching TV. I am trying to find the rest of the answers.
I am a doctor with high myopia.I find this so logical that though I am just going to start this technique, deep in my heart I am feeling that it would work.Only this is curative, every other is palliative meassures like glasses, contact lenses or even LASIK.Thank you sir.🙏🙏🙏🙏
I am an Engineer, looking for scientific reason and logic. I found an Optometrist, who helped his own children - with life time plus prevention. Todd is correct, as science.

My vision improved after i started consuming lots of sunflower seeds (50g every day, i soak them overnight to make the soft & digestible without heating), they are especially high in vitamin E. And vitamin E protects your eyes. Vitamin E is quite hard to get from food. And the omega 6 LA in the seeds is also extremely beneficial. I eat them with carrots, as beta carotene also converts into retinol and in itself is a potent antioxidant.

More frame choices. After I lost my $400 -4.00 after 4 months, I got a pair of -3.50 $37 with UV, anti-glare lighter lenses. Still have those after a year! My next pair will be -0.50 with anti-glare for screen viewing. Not wearing contacts. Someone asked about astigmatism. I went to Kaiser for $80 glasses. Walked out with $380 corrective glasses. Made me so dizzy I felt like losing it. He said to wear them all the time. Fine, but when my eyeballs want to self correct, they didn't work. Then when I took them off, I had better be close to a bed. They were so bad I took them back. My eyeball is warped because I got smacked in the eye by the end of the doohicky at the end of elastic on a jacket when I was working for TSA.
Recovery from 20/50 is difficult. I am pleased Todd cleared his Snellen to 20/20 By wearing a +2 Diopter for doing all close work. That is how I am now doing it, as an Engineering/ Scientific project.
There is some research that shows the thinning of the choroid is associated with myopia and that reading black text on white background causes the choroid to thin, and that reading white text on black background cause’s choroid to thicken. Thus enabling dark mode maybe beneficial.
" I shall try this method..." I wish all who say this ... ABSOLUTE SUCCESS! I am total supporter of Todd. I believe he has complete science supporting him, and his success in clearing his Snellen back to reasonable normal. HOW EVER, let me add these suggestions. 1) Get a Bright Snellen. (Confirm you can read, or make out the 20/60 line. That is 1 inch letters at 20 feet.) 2) Your prescription? I can only hope, it in the range of -1 Diopter, to -2 Diopters. 3) Any recover, means long term wearing a plus for all near work. At least one year. Other than that, recovery costs you no money, of consequence. But great personal resolve and intelligence is required of you. Good skill and luck!
@@Cooososoo 1) Permanent Snellen 2) Engineering Degree. 3) at 20/50, you can use a +2 Diopters, for comfortable reading. 4) Plan to do this Permanently.
36:00 Todd is the only person working, almost completely alone, to help you with recovery. Give him a break. It is completely possible to measure your own refraction! Takes some skill to do it, but we all can do it. As an EE, I do it. But it starts with a Snellen at 20/50.
I had a -2.75 on both eyes in 2011 and then went without glasses completely until an exam in Oct 2014, which revealed -2.25 in both eyes. Not sure what caused a -0.50 decrease in my myopia.
Yes this true, I was doing retailer census for a market research company and have to go though every single shop note shop name by reading billboards, then look for items like cold drinks chillers and icecream freezers etc. After some time I do realized improvement in myopia, this was self experience. It is very detailed content and trust me these tricks will work.
@Clorox Tree Are you saying that if I need 175 readers now to read the screen, buy 150 and work with that for awhile and then later 125s? Thanks for clarifying!
The REQUIRED visual acuity standard to drive a car: 20/40, one eye, 20/70 the other eye. With both eyes open, 20/40. No DMV test requires 20/20. This is for HOME SNELLEN CHECKING. Be reasonable about your essential verification. Only professional pilots must pass 20/20.
I have an eyesight of -2.5, and after watching this I believe that my eyes will be completely perfect after following this.... Thank you So so so so much!
I am 23 years old Indian Male with 3.5D and 3.25D(forgot which eye, lol), today is 17/9/24. And I will research this till 30/9/24 and then start active focusing and whatever more is needed from Oct 2024. I will update once every month which is last day of the month along with my average daily routine and other important stuffs. Let's go. If I really start to see the changes, I will start a blog on it too.
My personal, "clarification ", of Todd's success, and to support him, and ODs who might want to help, you when you are at 20/50. 1) Mild nearsightedness, is not a disease. It is negative status, for the normal eye, that has been forced into a "long term near environment". 2) The normal eye is not a, "camera", although we all draw it to explain some issues. The normal eye is a dynamic system, at birth. 3) In a broad scientific sense, our normal eyes are responsive to. A) Long term near, changing themselves from plus, or 20/20, to negative, or 20/50. B) Exactly the same result occurs, when you force the normal eye, to wear a -2 Diopter lens. Again, the same result, your eye goes from positive, 20/20, to 20/50, or negative status. 4) If you have a scientific mind, (A and B are the same) it is indeed possible to add these two scientific truths together, and conclude that "fixing" 20/50, with a minus lens, can only make the normal eye's refraction go even more negative.
This is an accurate scientific presentation - for all fundamental eyes. This assumes that you are willing to understand it that way. As a practical matter, it is possible to work your way back to normal, if you are willing to start this process when you are still reading your Snellen in the range of 20/50, to 20/60.
Hi, Todd Becker! When I was 6 years old, I was cross-eyed due to a head injury in 1961. My mother was very dedicated on encourage me to practice and do eye exercises. Which I have continued all my life and I have been able to keep from needing glasses, even after Cataracts lens replacement. Personally I hate wearing glasses. Thank you!
For anyone interested, I've personally improved my vision by more than one diopter doing eye exercises from Meir Schneider (a man born virtually blind who recovered his vision with exercises). I haven't tried this plus lens method yet so I can't say anything about that, but I am living proof, just like many others, that you can improve your eyesight.
Fresh Potential, I have also read "Vision for Life" by Meir Schneider and watched his DVD "Yoga for your Eyes". After 30 years of glasses, and applying all of his techniques (but mostly "sunning" and "palming"), I have improved my vision to 20/20 in 60 days.
When you reduce your myopia, you’re reducing the length of the eye itself, in addition to relaxing the ciliary muscle.so, you are, in fact, reducing your risk of developing the serious conditions associated with high myopia, since the shape of the eye has changed to become emmetropic.
What brought me to think I could fix my vision was actually when I went on a through hike and was hiking outdoors for 6 1/2 months and came back and my prescription was actually significantly improved… This is not an uncurable condition I feel
Regarding the question on screen use (31:54): I remember reading that since screen pixels have blurred edges, the eye is constantly trying to focus (automatically) back and forth, which strains the muscles and causes deterioration, which fits the spasm mechanism the speaker mentioned. Therefore, even with screen technology improvements, it's probably better to read books rather than use a screen (LED/backlit-LCD). It doesn't replace the exercises, just removes one of those "bad habits" he mentioned.
this video is the only one that has helped me. I was -1.5 both eyes and i was stubborn to not wear glases. Due to long time spending on smartphone my eyes were going werse. I was unable to carry out my day to day activities 5 years ago due to eye pain. I thought it was inevitable to avoid glasses. Then i found this video, and started using +1 i felt a great comfort right away that moment. Going strong i m now at -0.5 both eyes. Now i rarely use plus glasses . I work on pc whole day without issues.
During my last visit to the Optometrist, I told him how I started using the TV browser when I looked up things online instead of my phone, so I forced myself to look at things from a distance. He shut me down right away, and he said, you are making it too complicated. I feel so much better using this method; even my eye floaters seem to be disappearing; I think when you force your eyes to do this kind of exercise, they begin using those proteins stuck in your eye.
man I'm surprised like every part of the medical profession has methods that aren't accepted obesity/T2D caused by insulin from high carbs and sugar, solution is fasting and keto crooked teeth and long faces caused by lack of tongue pressure on upper jaw (orthotropics) and now this
"I went to Walmart, bought some reading glasses, and experimented on myself. A +3 lens over my contact lenses was so strong that I could not comfortably read, so I went with +2.5 for reading and +1.25 for distance. I printed an eye chart with the big E, put it up in the hallway with the tape on the floor for the proper distance, and determined that I could see 20/25 with my contact lenses alone. After a few hours reading with the +2.5 lenses over my contacts, I could see in the distance much more clearly (with contacts alone, of course). It's probably better than 20/20, but that's as far as the chart goes. After a week of +2.5 for close work and +1.25 distance over contacts, my right eye could see 20/20 with the +1.25 lenses, so basically going from -4.25 to -3 diopters. That seems like a big jump, but it's been two years since I went to the optometrist and my eyes might have continued to shorten over that time. My left eye (prescribed -5D) has made less progress. It can't see clearly with the +1.25 over the contacts, but it can see 20/20 with the -4.25 D contacts that I normally use in my right eye. So at this point, that's about 1.25 diopters improvement on the right eye and 0.75 in the left." earlyretiredbiologist blogspot Edit.: She had an update on the same year that I forget to mention. After only 3 months she was wearing -3.75 and -2.5, a huge improvement with a passive technique, no active focus, no peripheral, no print pushing, nothing special just wear the full correction and on the top of it the Plus Lenses. The blur is different from a undercorrected and a full correction and the plus lens on the top.
@@otiebrown9999 Hi Otie. For those who already have myopia above -3D, and work with a computer all day, it is interesting to place the plus lens glasses in front of the glasses for distance, at least not to distort the visual field. Anyone knows that a distance glasses whenever used up close, distorts the dimension of the environment. I'm not sure which diopter would be ideal for this, people can decide for themselves. This measure of putting one glasses over another can also have the ideal of not worsening the situation and who knows in the long run in the best of hypotheses even reducing the diopter. It is possible to remove the straps from the plus lenses glasses and add magnets to stick them on the glasses for distance, as well as the Sun models called 'clip-on', or add small clips.
@@Bernardo-mt8ho Hi Bernado, I want to be offered a PREVENTION CHOICE, when I am still at 20/50. About -1 Diopter. Then with wisdom and fortitude, I could get back to 20/30. With that science, I could avoid going down to -8 Diopters.
@@otiebrown9999 Yes, I agree with your statement. I just make a recommendation for people try +0.50 or +1.0 for a while. If that recommendation is not usefull, people can simple discard that idea.
I have sharp 2020 vision in my fifties and this may be due to the fact that I used plus readers even as a child and through my adult life whenever I did close work
I met an OD who knew this. (All eyes are dynamic, that way. ) He forced his children to "read with a plus", when they got down to 20/40. (Appox -0.5 Diopters.) As an OD he knew this was safe and necessary. In due course, he got their vision back to 20/20. They kept their distant vision - for life. This is verification of your success!
Much Respect for Todd Becker sir, came here after years and i would have to admit that Endmyopia and Vision2020 were born from this study. Rajdeep Singh Sidhu (Rajdeep Sekha)
Let me clear up this point. Nearsightedness is Reversible, if you can read 20/50 to 20/60 on your Snellen, at home (in bright light). That is 1 inch letters at 20 feet. (2.5 cm at 6 meters.) Prevention, and recovery, are a long term proposition.
I was working for an optometrist when I was in my early 30's. I was an optometric assistant. His wife paid me but never gave me a stub, so she paid me $500/month, and with 80 miles round trip of driving to and from work, that wasn't enough. So I reverted to eating Top Ramen, and I KNEW at the time that wasn't a good thing. SO I worked there a year and at the end of the year , my perfect non cavitied teeth, one of them imploded and I had to have an enormous filling (I tried to make sure it was composite and not mercury but by golly they put in mercury. THAT didn't help). But also, near the end of my employ, I had developed presbyopia , at 33, and had to have bifocals. I liked them but I also knew it was a sign of my general health. I knew that diabetics can have unstable vision. I knew that at that time, I had unstable astigmatism. One side would go soft and not focus, which would go away later in the day. I knew this was a sign of my health. While eating Top Ramen, i also couldn't even afford supplementation. Later, as I went into a better paying job (as a janitor ironically) and got back on better food and protein and supplements, I was able to put my bifocals away for years. It wasn't until I reached 43 that I had to wear my glasses again. Now coming out of another health challenge, which includes my inability to absorb, my eyes are improving again. At my worst, I was losing my distance vision, but now that is resolved, at 57. For awhile I was needing +3 readers, but Only for very fine font do I need those. For computer, I am down to +2. Besides the 90 essential nutrients in optimal doses but also a little more of certain ones I need. For vision, lutein and vitamin A (true A) and astaxanthin, krill oil, bilberry.
Skip the supplements and eat plenty of colorful vegetables and dark leafy greens. Get some ALA from walnuts and flaxseeds. Legumes that contain folate and other helpful nutrients. And don’t forget onions and garlic. Eat whole plant foods skip the processed foods and oil’s and added sugars.
1 million views. Congratulations, for Todd Becker, on your successful recovery from nearsightedness. It is never easy! Yes, myopia is completely preventable, if you are willing to start your program before you go below 20/50 on your personal Snellen Eye Chart. I truly enjoy wearing a plus (for prevention) and confirming my Home Snellen at 20/20. Thank you!
hey can you plz explain me in basic English what should I do to improve my eyesight. I can't understand the video becoz I only know basic English. Plz explain me. I'll be great full
This really needs to be talked about more, especially now in this day and age. Started wearing glasses when I was 9, with a grade of -1.00 and -2.00. Today I am 15 (about to turn 16), with a grade of -6.50 and -3.50. Can’t say I’ve had it worst though, as I’ve recently found out that my little cousin, at the mere age of 4, already has an eye grade of -3.00 ~ -4.50 (not sure but I tried on his glasses). It was truly heartbreaking, realizing that this was probably a result of him growing up with his mother’s iPhone as his main source of entertainment (he’s the 3rd child in his family, so my uncle and aunt struggle to attend to him). What’s even more baffling to me is how his siblings (my older cousins) have NO glasses! I truly think environment (lifestyle & habits) plays the major role for the development of myopia. I’ve started doing some research on this, and I’m gonna try implementing some lifestyle changes asap. Hopefully I’ll be able to improve my eyesight by the time I reach adulthood. Thank you for this informative video and wish me luck! :)
I agree. I needed help when I was at 20/60, and could have gotten out if it like Todd did. I gave up asking medical people to help me get back out of it
The reason why your myopia got so high might be because of these two main reasons: 1. eye strain from close up work and 2. your eye doctor gave you overprescribed lenses. Since you started wearing (most likely) overprescribed glasses at the age of 9, your myopia progresses over time due to the focal point of light being hit behind the retina your eyes. (Too much power can cause the focal plane to shift) This in result will cause the eye to elongate since the light is being hit behind your eye (retina). For now, you should start by reducing your diopters by 0.25 so that you challenge your eyes with a little bit of blur. This will improve over time every 3-4 months. After you notice some improvements, repeat the process until 20/20. I HIGHLY recommend how eyes work first and understanding it. I really suggest following the endmyopia method. Here's a beginners guide on EndMyopia. Wish you luck on 20/20 gains! (not many people know about this so do a bit of research): ua-cam.com/video/XPIGDSY_xBs/v-deo.html
This worked for me during Covid. I didn’t know what I was doing but we couldn’t get out for exams. I ended up using some older weaker glasses 2 years. At year 3 getting a new exam the doctor was surprised at 60 my eyes had got better. Have worn glasses since grade 8 for distance. So this is what happened without my knowing what I was doing.
I mix a lot of concrete. When you stand in front of a mixer it will spit a little. When you get a little in your eye. It stings a little but i swear you see better every time it happens.
The physics that Todd Becker presents, is 90% correct. What ODs choose TO BELIEVE, is 90% wrong. I did publish some papers with Dr. Francis Young, to clarify some of these issues that Todd talks about. I have no doubt that Todd achieved results as he described them. The one private issue for me is that 1) he never worked with his Snellen. 2) he did not use Test Lenses, as am doing it. Neither 1 or 2 is required. But I am an EE and control systems engineer, and feel my counter part must have that training. I personally agree, 1) that only recovery from 20/50 is possible, in a reasonable period of time. 2) Massive science data, says you must wear that plus, as long as you are in school. That is indeed a justified scientific statement. Excessive claims, is something I will never do.
I did a little test while the video was playing. I closed my strong eye so I had to use my weak eye to watch the video. I viewed it at a distance where the image was a little out of focus. After about 5 minutes, my weak eye was seeing more in focus, to my surprise. I don't know how long the effect will last, but it is a simple test anyone can easily try. Thanks
Guys that will be doing on this on a computer, regardless of how severe your myopia is, just open up an article or whatever u are trying to read And keep adjusting the zoom with ctrl + ( to zoom in) and ctrl - ( to zoom out) Keep doing it to go from D1 to D2
Nonono, just because you make sth big enough to be readible doesnt mean you are at D1 and seeing it sharp. You could read/see the "HOLLYWOOD" sign well from 100 meters away not because you have great eyesight, but because it's huge.
I saw this video about one year ago, and have been used this method since then; so far my left eye went from -1,50 to -1,00 and right eye went from -2,25 to -2,00. I consider this to be a outstanding improvement to a "uncurable condition" as people say.

After about 7 months, began passing 20/30 on my Snellen.
THAT IS SUCCESS, IT PASSES ALL DMV TESTS.
Continued wearing, and no minus, now 20/20.

It did not cost me any money - just Todd's knowledge and persistence.
It is admittedly difficult to get out of more than that.
Good luck, however.

Todd is a true scientific leader.
When at 20/60, he commits himself to long- term plus wearing for all near work. When he cofirms passing the DMV, at 20/40, he quits wearing the minus.
Continued wearing the plus - slowly gets him to 20/20.

Further - his information is free - to all who will learn.

Myopia in tamil
Myopia intamil history
Good and brave to face this difficult situation.
Todd has my vote for scientific homesty.
Did you have astigmatism?
Are these comments even real? 1. You've never worn glasses in your past 6 years of videos or seemed to need them (it is possible for an observer to tell if someone has high myopia just from seeing how they lock onto unfocused objects) 2. It is not possible even with this method to reverse myopia that fast, especially at 27 yrs old
@@haoyingjin4450 No, it's not real. All fake. Also the Earth is flat. Just continue with your day. Seems like this topic upsets you.
I thought mine was bad, 20/40….
I am using Snellen chart so I know for a fact I am at -2 diopters.

Me too! My sister started at -2 and now she's -5 because she wears them ALL the time even using computers. I was -0.75 and I barely wear my glasses and now I'm -1.

What did you do to improve your eyesight?

I've been doing this for like 2 years and it really does work. You just gotta be patient, at least in my case my vision improves quite slowly. But as Mr. Becker said, you have to keep in mind how long it took your myopia to develop. It's just logical that you need quite a while to reverse this whole process.

In the corner of the room 15 feet away was a digital clock with 2" red letters. Bored, I would make the blurred letters come together best I could. Over a few months I discovered I was getting better at it. When I visited my optometrist later that year, my vision had improved by 0.5 D. okay, this will be a true challenge... bc being over 50 with a typical bookworm focus of - 8... still, I am so excited
Hi Eric,
An excellent report.

Todd has the correct idea.

Good luck.
I was extremely good at math for years ! Now I have very high prescription glasses. Unfortunately I’m nearsighted.
Our eyes are directly connected to our brains. So when we stress out, our eyes strain. Maybe our education model is completely wrong if it's hurting us. And our medical model is also wrong by not helping our health.

Yay!

After progressing to -3.25 + -3.50 with contacts over 20 years a new optometrist suggested monovision. It's completely in sync with what you propose and I now wear no lenses at all.
That is a great idea. There is a normal difference between the eyes of 1 diopter. (They are very lucky)
If you have 0 diopters in one eye, you read 20/20.
If you have -1 diopters, in the other eye, 20/50, perhaps.

Hi Dave,
You are 100% Correct. Todd is not perfect, but he is accurate with the science of the eye's behavior.
Hi Loo,
I agree.
Another related is schooling and inside people do not expose the eyes to natural sunlight. And studies have confirmed the need to be outside, exposed to natural light.
At 20/40, the plus is the same as living outside.
Yes, I stopped wearing sunglasses recently. Thought it would be too glary but it's fine.
Eventually they focus in to the sharpest one
Also tried reading at the zone where it's just outside natural focus and slowly moving the "natural focus point further and further"
Even though I hardly ever do it.
Thanks for your explanation of the technique, i was confused of how to do it bjust by hearing his explanation.
Heyy ertugul bae ,thanks for your wonderful explanation .

This guy makes most sense out of all the eye doctors I’ve talked to.
He had a -3.00 and improved to normal vision without his glasses? My glasses are only -0.50. There is hope?
+Bronwyn P there is hope !
Hi Havan,

what should I do if I am around -8?
You must stop wearing glasses and reduce your prescription and wear them only when you need them.
You must give your eyes time to heal and I suggest reducing your reading and even TV watching.
Also have an eyetest after 1 year and see if the number has reduced.
You must also become more of an outdoor person than a bookish person who is stuck home and and is always watching TV.

Getting a weaker prescription is like getting a needle in the back. I finally got glasses at eyebrightdirect instead of Zenni.

HOW EVER, let me add these suggestions.
1) Get a Bright Snellen. (Confirm you can read, or make out the 20/60 line. That is 1 inch letters at 20 feet.)
2) Your prescription? I can only hope, it in the range of -1 Diopter, to -2 Diopters.
3) Any recover, means long term wearing a plus for all near work. At least one year.
Other than that, recovery costs you no money, of consequence.
But great personal resolve and intelligence is required of you.
Good skill and luck!
So how it is going?

Bro,how did it go?did u find desired details?
Yeah , sure

For anyone interested, I've personally improved my vision by more than one diopter doing eye exercises from Meir Schneider (a man born virtually blind who recovered his vision with exercises). I haven't tried this plus lens method yet so I can't say anything about that, but I am living proof, just like many others, that you can improve your eyesight.

When you reduce your myopia, you’re reducing the length of the eye itself, in addition to relaxing the ciliary muscle.so, you are, in fact, reducing your risk of developing the serious conditions associated with high myopia, since the shape of the eye has changed to become emmetropic.
Correct.
In my case, early prevention.
I hope you continue to your success!
Absolutely.
What brought me to think I could fix my vision was actually when I went on a through hike and was hiking outdoors for 6 1/2 months and came back and my prescription was actually significantly improved… This is not an uncurable condition I feel
I reduced my number from -1.5 to -0.75 by eating a lot of raw vegetables and not wearing my glasses at all for about 5 months!
That is great!
Thank you for this !!
What about if I'm using plus lenses and everything is blurry anyways?
this video is the only one that has helped me.
Congratulations.
I do wear a plus, and confirm 20/20.
What is truly required is to always exceed the 20/30 line.
How much time did it take ?

During my last visit to the Optometrist, I told him how I started using the TV browser when I looked up things online instead of my phone, so I forced myself to look at things from a distance. He shut me down right away, and he said, you are making it too complicated. I feel so much better using this method; even my eye floaters seem to be disappearing; I think when you force your eyes to do this kind of exercise, they begin using those proteins stuck in your eye.
Hi how are you now
man I'm surprised like every part of the medical profession has methods that aren't accepted
obesity/T2D caused by insulin from high carbs and sugar, solution is fasting and keto
crooked teeth and long faces caused by lack of tongue pressure on upper jaw (orthotropics)
and now this
You want to be quick fixed with a minus.
Rapidly destroys your vision.
They refuse to understand it.
"T2D caused by insulin from high carbs and sugar". Errr, no. T2D is caused by intramyocellular lipids.
Luther Blissett can you explain this? as far as I'm concerned, the hormonal theory of obesity/Type 2 Diabetes makes the most sense
@Mr Sir , no, but that's what it leads to.
@Mr Sir , and it's not caused by too much sugar.
So at this point, that's about 1.25 diopters improvement on the right eye and 0.75 in the left."

@@Bernardo-mt8ho Hi,

Nearsightedness is Reversible, if you can read 20/50 to 20/60 on your Snellen, at home (in bright light).
That is 1 inch letters at 20 feet.
(2.5 cm at 6 meters.)
Prevention, and recovery, are a long term proposition.
That was a fascinating story!
I think adding in some liver (very cheap) would have gone a long way in preventing this to an extent
This guy very knowledgeable. I am going start to do active focusing... glasses do more damage to your eyes

(Too much power can cause the focal plane to shift)
This in result will cause the eye to elongate since the light is being hit behind your eye (retina).
Update?
This worked for me during Covid. I didn’t know what I was doing but we couldn’t get out for exams. I ended up using some older weaker glasses 2 years. At year 3 getting a new exam the doctor was surprised at 60 my eyes had got better. Have worn glasses since grade 8 for distance. So this is what happened without my knowing what I was doing.
Todd is correct.
But improving is slow.
I mix a lot of concrete. When you stand in front of a mixer it will spit a little. When you get a little in your eye. It stings a little but i swear you see better every time it happens.
Lol that's awesome 💪
That's what I was thinking, The lens is a jelly type of thing that slowly assumes the shape it's bent into.
I personally agree,
1) that only recovery from 20/50 is possible, in a reasonable period of time.
Thanks
Excellent.
This is how I went from 20/50, to 20/20. Confirmed on my Snellen.
