Painting Birch Trees, Real-time reposting of my first video. Peter Sheeler

Hi Everyone. I apologize for not posting any new videos this past month. I have been traveling and simply haven't been able to produce anything new. I promise to have some new work in a couple weeks.
Just to show I haven't totally disappeared, here is a redo of my first painting video. Slowed down to real-time with a bit more info included.

PEN: The Uni-ball deluxe micron roller ball pen .5mm nib. These pens are extremely waterproof on my papers and can be painted over immediately. The roller ball is almost indestructible and claims to be archival.
PAPER:
Strathmore 500 series Paper for this Video.
My papers of choice include Arches 140lb Hot press and Cold press paper and Strathmore 500 series Sketchbooks. All are 100% cotton rag.
BRUSH: Kuretake Waterbrush. This is a flat brush with a large reservoir of water in the handle.
MY PALETTE: All tube paints!
Winsor Newton- Yellow Ochre, Sepia, Burnt Sienna, Sap Green.
DaVinci - Phthalo Blue, Quinachridone Fuchsia.
MUSIC: Dream Culture, White and Winter Chimes.

Just watched this one a couple of days ago. Couldn't help but watch the re-upload. I absolutely your style. Some of your lighthouse paintings i have watched already 4 or 5 times. Absolutely love the look of your paintings and just as much as that i like how fast you do them. I dont have the patience nor the attention span to spend hours or days to complete a sketch or painting. Your style is the perfect one for me to learn from!!! Thank you Mr. Sheeler!

Really great work.
I've never seen anyone with a style like yours.
I try to mimic your style(hope you don't mind).
It teaches that your drawing doesn't have to be perfect to be a piece of art.

You like that quinacridone fuchsia :-) unfortunately I'll have to order it on Amazon if I can't mix an acceptable substitute with the colors I have. My local supply shop doesn't carry it.

Peter, First let me say Thank You for your tutorials! They have absolutely been a great help to me a newcomer to the art of watercolor. I have a question if you don't mind. You say you are using all tube paints. Do you allow the paint to dry on your pallet? It looks like you rub the paint quite vigorously at times but only pull a little paint. I'm a complete newbie so sorry if this is a silly question. Thanks agin and I Love your style!

Hi Michel. Ideas come from my imagination/memory, my own photos or by painting on location. If I use a reference photo it will be included in the video. This one was from imagination.
