Hi Jimmy, fair question I thought it was possible but it indeed does look like the ask for clearance option doesn't pickup the flight programmed. I looked for options to send the flight plan to the ATC but haven't found it yet. Will keep looking and let you know if I found a solution for it. As a workaround you can indeed request straight out departure and follow the flight plan your programmed.
Hi Dark Warrior, you mean manually adding the waypoints? Auto loading can be done when the flight plan is created in the flight planner tool from MSFS 2020 or if you are using the A32NX you can download them directly from SimBrief
Does anybody know how to reset or clear the flight plan in the mcdu? Not a return flight and not adding a third waypoint. Clear the mcdu like when you start the plane and before you put the flight plan in? How do you get the mcdu reset to that point?
Hello, is there a way to set the altitude to maintain until the approach ? i dont even know if this is the right question for my little problem, basically during the descent the atc doesnt tell me which altitude to descent just once, it keeps telling me for 20 times always changing the altitude and i get frustrated cause i cant go up and down every 10 seconds, does somebody have an explanation for this ? btw this tutorial was very helpful :) thank you
Hi Frank, think that is still an issue with the ATC tbh in some cases it changes indeed multiple times. What I use as a guideline is simply make sure that I am at the correct altitude for the approach part to make sure I can intercept the ILS correctly. The ATC will continue to complain and say you need to decrease the altitude but at some point they will stop complaining ;- ) Good to hear you found the video usefull
@@Highintheflightsimsky mhhh yeah , i recently tried to already set an approach even if it might not be the same as the atc would give me and everything goes good so , i found out why that happened to me, apparently i had selected a different approach instead of the right one, so i was on the opposite side, thats why the atc kept yelling me to climb right before landing. I learned the lesson, i set an approach just so the atc can tell me when to descent, and IF the atc gives me a different approach i instantly update the f-pln :) so i think that was my fault ahaha
Which application did you use to create the flight plan? SimBrief? Or some others? If I make a flight plan in advance in any way I have everything I need right away. I don’t have to specifically enter point by point! If I just sit in the cockpit and start, as shown in the video then I have no data in the database! So I'm confused .... the video shows data from the flight plan such as: CRZ FL / TEMP ..... and more .... Can someone explain a little to a beginner like me? Thank you !
Hi DedaL I think I used Simbrief to create the initial flightplan. In most cases if it shows not in the database you are trying to add waypoints which are not anymore in the AIRAC database. This can be the fact if you are using the free edition of Simbrief which is using an older database than the AIRAC in MSFS. Currently the airspace is reorganized resulted in several old beacons to be cleaned up which likely is causing your issue.
Thanks for the explanation, I think you are right. I didn't know that the free version of simbrief is different from the paid one? I'll have to consider that! I think that also causes me problems on FBW32NX ?!
As far as I know that is not possible. The only way to add altitudes when using the default A320 is by using airways which will include altitude limits which will be automatically added if you add an airway
Hi Matt normally your are instructed by ATC when to decent when coming closer to your destination. However more advanced planning tools such as Simbrief and Little Navmap have more advanced capabilities which you can use.
@@Highintheflightsimsky when i make a flight on the main screen, i add departure, arival runway, and a couple waypoints before arival runway. ATC never tell me anything about how high to go, or when to decend. Mostly just tell me to continue own navigation, and runways clear to land. Not much else
hi Matt did you select and approach in your flight plan? By default it is a straight in approach and in that case you will indeed not be instructed to decrease altitude. If you add an approach you will see that you will be instructed to decrease altitude.
Well there are multiple ways, one is by using for example skyvector.com or onlineflightplanner.org/ using those tools you can create flight plans and than simply add them manually to the flight plan. The other option is to use the VFR map but that is kind of hard

@Leonard let me check it today and come back to you on this. It could be that he is using the a32nx addon which has multiple additional features compared to the default a320 cockpit
that means you either made a typo or you tried to add a wpt which is not in the navigation database anymore. Which tool did you use to plan your route?
I'm sorry but this tutorial doesn't work for the Xbox version at all. Each new waypoint you put in just gets shoved towards the top making it a complete mess.
that video could have bee 75% shorter. Why did you input every way point? Did you not think maybe it wasn't necessary to show the same process a million times?
Finally, someone showing up how to eliminate waypoints! Thank you. It is a long flight plan anyway :p
thank you Juan glad it helped you resolving your issue

have fun flying

How would you incorporate the manually-made flight plan into the ATC AI if you wanted to fly via IFR?
well the only way I got that working is by also setting the departing airport and destination airport on the world map as far as I know
So after you plan it all, the plane just remembers it? Or is there a button you have to press to finalize it?
it should remember it
What does this mean in flight plan? "N0461F350" where do I plug that in?
I think it has something to do with the SID It's just after my departure point. "KMKE/07R N0444F390" I can just skip it correct?
I might be blind but where do I see the waypoint identification

Is there any free app to see the waypoints I want ?
check LittleNavmap it retrieves the stuff from the installed content
