What color are you trying to dye it. If its brown now and you are going to red then that's fine. But this loreal technique is great for all hair colors, gray, darks and light.

@@tiarasheeler7881 in this very I did cayenne and when i redye it i did magenta. Magenta is the color thats in my recent videos which is why its so much brighter than this video

My hair color is still lasting after 4months. Iredyed it 2wks after this video a brighter red and its been 4mths. Its faded to a burgundy now but still pretty
I would suggest a rinse first or you can try hair paint wax that wash out with water and if you like it you can get it professionally done since youre scared to dye it yourself
i know i’m late but i don’t understand why my hair didn’t take color. i’ve try to dye my hair 2 times. the first time i did it, i did it wrong. i used a hair color that was meant for lighter colors. it didn’t take it. then, i did research and watched videos on, “how to dye your hair without bleach” every video said use developer and the L’Oréal hicolor products because they are meant for black hair. it didn’t even say i had to use developer on the box because it would work but i did it anyway. so, i thought for sure it was gonna work. i parted my hair, dye it little by little. starting at the end and working my way to the roots (since roots dye faster) and i then waited about 40 mins and NOTHING HAPPENED. please someone help me, i’ve tried dying my hair two times now and it has literally KILLIED MY HAIR. like, i rather have dead, colored hair that i spent my time doing then, dead, not colored hair and waste my time..

Yes it will work on you hair if you get a lighter red. I used Cayenne which isnt as red it's on the darker end. They 2weeka later I went lighter with the color Magenta. Loreal Technique works on grays, darks, all hair color which I love instead of bleaching which I'm not a fan of

Chrome has really beautiful red shades! It’s my go to for when I want a deep red. I typically mix to shades together from this brand.

I base it on the amount of hair you have. If you have a tea I would use 1 but 2 increases the volume not the color

I suggest going to a salon to get it colored so you don't further damage your hair from more attempts
