I know I shouldn’t, but I giggled every time you wanted something to eat only to find the restaurants all closed each time. Love this channel, keep up the great work.
The view of Mount Fugi was beautiful, especially with the snow and how the sun light hit it. Hoped you were dressed warmly and really felt bad that you couldn't find something to eat. 😕
Wow! That was a really beautiful view of Mt. Fuji. It was a surprise - I didn't think you could see it from that island. But I'm glad you survived to post this and didn't starve on the remote, undeveloped island that has no food! No wonder they have those refrigerator lockers on the ship so locals can bring food to the island!
The night view leaving Tokyo was breathtaking! And yeah, little towns can be pretty much dead commerce wise certain days of the week, and tourist can just starve, pretty much. Hopefully you found at least a conbini open!
STJ goes somewhere with no food? What a tragedy! Fortunately the food tour of Hiroshima on the second channel fills in nicely. At least you got an amazing picture of Mt. Fuji, and Tokyo at night is incredible.
Google Earth and your videos make a perfect combination. I live in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia, USA so where you live is much different. Other than The Bahamas I have never been out of the states. Before I watch your video I look around on Google Earth at where you are traveling and I am learning a lot about beautiful Japan and her culture. Thank you. P.S. Tokyo is stunning at night. 💜🌏🌎🌍⭐🌛⛩
I totally love these videos. After a hectic day, one of these trips is so soothing and calming, and the "personal experience" style is great (I'm so tired of talking heads). I've never before seen anything that could make me interested in virtual reality, but these videos do. Really fantastic work, much kudos.
I really appreciate all of the research that goes into finding all these trips on a ship. How much more have you discovered about Japan since you started your YT channel ?
What a wonderful view of Mt. Fuji, it is magnificent when viewed under the right conditions. Visiting a small volcanic island is an unusual trip and a great little adventure.
That was a beautiful view of Mt. Fuji, I wasn't expecting that you would be able to see it from there at all, let alone so clearly. That crashing noise early on sounded like someone was bashing on a small gong or cymbal, either that or some pans fell off a shelf. Too bad nothing was open when you wanted breakfast, but we have your second channel to look at food tours.
What a fantastic view of Mt Fuji, especially with the unexpected chance to have the ship crossing in front of it! So sad the island had no food for you though, that was disheartening. Hope you ate well on the ferry back. :-)
What a wonderful view of Mt. Fuji! My family have enjoyed your last videos. They are a different kind of interest from the larger ferries. Thank you! We have subscribed to your new food channel too!
Good video Solo Travel, sorry there was no fun food to share, I'll go to your other channel and see what delicious items you have to show us... Thank you.
A live view of Mt. Fuji makes me emotional. I'm not sure why...maybe it's the art I've seen or the history I've read. It's just so majestic and feels like one permanent thing in this uncertain world.
My wife and I have been out further to Hachijojima on two occasions, once arriving by ferry. It's surprising that more Tokyoites do not visit these islands for the clean air and water, nice views and tasty seafood. (Hachijo has hot springs too)
Your travels are always amazing! Maybe you can try to visit Aogashima too! I heard you can ride a ferry or even a helicopter to get there! It must be nice and unforgettable!
The night view on Roppongi and the Tokyo Tower was impressive. Felt like standing on the ship myself 😃 The scenery of Mnt. Fuji could have been a drawing. Hopefully it will be possible to travel to Japan again soon.
Crew: Get all the pots together and bang them really loudly 5 minutes before we leave :) 😂😂😂 Great video again, the island is so beautiful, and the pictures of Mt Fuji were great. You can always visit again when the restaurants are open :) 😍😍😍
You do such a great job. I almost feel like I am with you. I did booking, such for a number of years for my husband. Stress was terrible. Good luck in all your travels. Might you always find a place to eat.
Loved the views of the volcanoes!! Especially in the snow! One day I would love to see mt Fuji ❤️ . Sorry about the lack of food, I hope you found something eventually 😮
Tokyo at night is always a treat! Even with the warning I got startled with that sound when you entered the bedroom area. The ferry theme song, I thought it was going to be the same nightmare as on the other ferry with the "sunflower" theme song 😅 Fuji-san is so beautiful covered in snow! You were really unlucky with food this time...again LOL
Wow, the bridge you passed under when you left the dock looks like a smaller version of the George Washington Bridge that connects New Your City and New Jersey.
Thank you for freezing for the beautiful scenery. Watching the ship passby Mt. Fuji was cool. Too bad you had to go hungry and be cold. Great Video. 👍 Now to go watch food. ✌❤🤘
Mount Fuji looks so beautiful. I’ve climbed it and seen it from the aircraft on approach into Tokyo, but I’ve never seen it like it is in your video. There’s something about Fuji-san that makes my breath catch every time I see it. I hope to return to Japan one day soon and see it again.
You should always pack a little non refrigeration long shelf life food that you can keep in a backpack or a bag when you go anywhere by farry like a little beef jerky or rice crackers just in case there is nothing open something to eat
I know I shouldn’t, but I giggled every time you wanted something to eat only to find the restaurants all closed each time. Love this channel, keep up the great work.
Agreed. He should call his channel "Solo Travel to places/ships with closed restaurants"
Yup...the crows commenting on his disappointment at finding the 'toast only' restaurant was particularly amusing. 😉
Maybe it is because it is winter time?
Yes, it was a good trip for folks who were fasting. ; )
@@frankpinmtl THAT'S specific! 🧔
Lovely shot of the Salvia Maru with Mt Fuji behind

That would be difficult, seeing as how there aren’t any conbini on the island (at least according to Google Maps).
@@bubbledoubletrouble But then there must be some shop in the town
Is there not even a vending machine on the island? At that point I would've gone for canned soup, of even a pop-tart.
That little shot of the highschool students waving good bye made my little student heart happy 😢 You captured a core memory for those kids!
This reminds me of Seattle and the Puget Sound. With the volcanos in the distance. Where I grew up. I love the ferries.
My question is which is worse, the heart attack gong, or the Sunflower song? 🤔🤣
Oshima: the island that food forgot. 🏝️
13:45 such a great shot of Mt. Fuji
Your videos inspire me to wake up early and enjoy the sunrise!
That image of your boat under the sunrise lit Mt. Fuji was amazing!
STJ goes somewhere with no food? What a tragedy! Fortunately the food tour of Hiroshima on the second channel fills in nicely.
At least you got an amazing picture of Mt. Fuji, and Tokyo at night is incredible.
STJ is going to have to do a good impression of Darth Vader in Revenge of the Sith.
Nooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a beautiful view around14:55with the ship passing in front of Mt Fuji
I love this content so much!! Traveling, Food, Japan… Just perfect (:
Well, no food this time...poor guy..

14:48 - what a nice view of both ferry and mountain.
the scene pic where the ferry crosses before Mt. Fuji was awesome!
I must say that Tokyo Tower lit up at night is quite beautiful. I'm enjoying your videos. Learning a lot about a country I've never visited.
My 7 year old and I are watching from Alberta, Canada. We enjoy your videos! 🇨🇦🇯🇵
Thank you for a very welcome distraction from the rest of the world right now. It's greatly appreciated!

I think this is my 3rd time watching one of your videos. Never knew watching ferry travel could be so soothing. Subscribed. 👍🏾
I never get tired of watching Mount fuji. Thanks for letting us follow you on another adventure!
What a stunning view of Fuji-san!
What a wonderful view of Mt. Fuji, it is magnificent when viewed under the right conditions. Visiting a small volcanic island is an unusual trip and a great little adventure.
The cityscape at night is absolutely breathtaking! I was ecstatic when Tokyo Tower came into view! 🤩

I look forward to your video's every Sunday. Be safe.
Best part of my Sunday!
Just as I'm thinking "I wonder how much of Honshu you can see from here" you show me that marvelous view of Fujisan. Absolutely breathtaking!
"Here we go" always puts a smile on my face too.
Great view of mount Fuji. 😊 And bonus photo of the ferry.
What a beautiful island! I'm sad you ended up hungry and cold though!
I think this has to be the most beautiful view of Fuji I've ever seen, maybe even any mountain ever, holy hell.
Thank you for showing me a part of the world that I'm sure I will never see but I thoroughly enjoy your videos
The more of your videos I watch, the more fascinated I am by Japan.
You are like my personal tour guide. Love pace of everything ty
Love your channell! It is wonderfull to follow your Trips!!!Love this very much!!!Blessings from Germany, Lukas, with his great ❤💯for Japan❣❣❣
Why does the Tokaikisen emblem look like the flag of Norway?
I was wondering about that too
great video,
would love to see onsen videos!
Me too. Onsen are fascinating.
What a view of Mount Fuji! Love it!
Solo traveler, YOU are cool ! Thanks for another great video !,👏🏻☮️
One of your best videos, the scenery was beautiful. Keep having good travels.
Good video Solo Travel, sorry there was no fun food to share, I'll go to your other channel and see what delicious items you have to show us... Thank you.
Thank you for the wonderful shot of Fuji-san with the ship passing by, I loved it! 🥰
You really saw some beautiful vistas. I do hope for you that some restaurants start reopening soon so you can start answering the meal calls.
I like the nature destinations. It looks like timing the ferry, busses, and food can be tricky. I appreciate the effort.
A live view of Mt. Fuji makes me emotional. I'm not sure why...maybe it's the art I've seen or the history I've read. It's just so majestic and feels like one permanent thing in this uncertain world.
Always such a great pleasure to be able to travel with you! I love your journeys! Thank so much!

Hey, i have watched so many of your videos, just wanna say thank you for making such great travel videos, very entertaining. I enjoyed very much.
Beautiful view of fuji. Excited to check out your 2nd channel

Thank you for the Contact movie reference! It's my favorite

Great video again, the island is so beautiful, and the pictures of Mt Fuji were great. You can always visit again when the restaurants are open :) 😍😍😍
I so love your channel so relaxing and awesome and Love the food and info!
Tokyo at night is absolutely beutiful and so is the view of Mount Fuji. Thanks! Really worth watching!
This has to be a new favorite, absolutely gorgeous. the sound of the birds with the early morning views on the island had me feeling sentimental
This reminds me of my geology days on the west coast of USA - hiking up (both ways!) a volcano in the snow with nothing to eat.
What a beautiful day trip! I hope you had emergency food in your backpack!
You do such a great job. I almost feel like I am with you. I did booking, such for a number of years for my husband. Stress was terrible. Good luck in all your travels. Might you always find a place to eat.

I'm sorry there was no delicious food to eat, but that view of Mt. Fuji was breathtaking!
nice
thinking of travelling to
osima when things settle
down.
i'll think of taking this
ferry but wish it had
a public bath.
Hello! The ferry and trip is so beautiful 😃 Enjoyed watching the video. Thank you. Have a wonderful day ☺️
Tokyo in abito da sera è bellissima!
Tokyo in evening dress is beautiful!
The ferry in front of mount fuji is simply stunning ;) love this video, thank you!!!
It's for placing the blanket inside. The corners are open for easy pulling the blanket in.
Mount Fuji is gorgeous. Thank you for sharing, even if you had a less-than-pleasant trip.
The view of My. Fuji was so beautiful! I could see the side crater so clearly. I felt so hungry for you!!!!
Hello..nice tour
Wow, the bridge you passed under when you left the dock looks like a smaller version
of the George Washington Bridge that connects New Your City and New Jersey.
Thanks for the noise warning. Very kind ^_^
Finally, one of the rare videos where there are people!
Thank you for your continued documenting of travel in Japan, I quite look forward to each of your videos. I love the information on prices, food etc.
That was an interesting short excursion, a beautiful view of Mt Fuji, and a hungry, frustrating day out for you!
Beautiful views!!! I hope you got something to eat at some point!!
Wherever you travel, there seems to be very few people. I know the main cities are still congested but, it seem to be where they all are.
That volcano cone really reminds me of 'your name'
You've given me so many ideas for my next trip to Japan! This is definitely going on the itinerary.
Yes! Congrats on starting a 2nd channel! I'm excited to see more adventures!
Cool. Thanks for doing both the Ferry and some travel stuff :)
I dig that song, is way better than Sunflower. Thanks for the video, much appreciated.
Thank you for freezing for the beautiful scenery. Watching the ship passby Mt. Fuji was cool. Too bad you had to go hungry and be cold.
Great Video. 👍
Now to go watch food.
✌❤🤘
Another super fun video. Seeing beautiful Mt. Fuji was my favorite part. Thank you so much! 💜

Sorry Solo, I was on your ship practicing my gong when you first boarded. 🌻 Sunflower... oops, wrong ship
I think I prefer Sunflower to Gong: The musical...lol
Mt. Fuji. How can something that looks so beautiful, be so deadly? Beautiful scenery. ❤
They really tried to give all the passengers a heart attack, just to let them know 5 minutes to departure. 😂
You should always pack a little non refrigeration long shelf life food that you can keep in a backpack or a bag when you go anywhere by farry like a little beef jerky or rice crackers just in case there is nothing open something to eat
Beautiful scenery
Those are some beautiful images of Fuji.
16:29 - funny, I'm watching this while it's snowing here. Funny how the UA-cam algorithm works. Very soothing viewing, though.
Thanks for the new Video, greetings from Germany!
