I was lucky enough to meet Kevin (Padge's tech) at a bar once made good friends with him and he was kind enough to set up some of my guitars for a tour and showed me a few tricks really nice guy still talk to him now :)
It’s a Music Man sterling, not a sterling by music man. Different from their electric guitars where sterling is their cheaper off brand made in Korea and Indonesia. For bass sterling is the model (like majesty would be for their guitars) These are $2000+ basses made in San Luis Obispo California
Yea the Sterlings can be very confusing. You have SUB by Sterling which is the cheapest, Sterling by Music Man which is around $900. And then you have Music Man Sterling which is American Made and on the same level and craftsmanship as the Stingray Models
man i have always wanted one of those ESP V series guitars with a Floyd Rose and the head on it is nice, but i would prefer it with a H series head. that is my dream guitar, hopefully one day they will make it.
Anyone has an idea how much a Tech guy makes a year? Cause im really into Guitars and technology at the same time, so if its good money, i could see myself doing this in the future :)
I respect it whole heartedly! Heads and cabs will always be valid, but, there’s so much simplicity in keeping the amps at home and just profiling em’ all to take on the road. It’s doing wonders for live sound in my opinion
@@cloneproductions2315 gotta absolutely agree with you. I love the sound of my tube amps, but having something like an axe fx or a Kemper to profile that sound and carry it around for live shows just saves so much space and time. I'd never trade a real Amp sound though for a recordinbf or studio setting.
Matt can never stay with a guitar company haha, Mike has no problem with that haha i don't blame him though, gotta get something new every once and awhile.
Saw them just shortly before this video was made, standing at the very front, and couldn't hear anything other than the drums. No stage sound was incredibly problematic for this - but I bet it sounded great to the other 90% of the stadium.
Gibson made a limited run of 200 flying Vs just as a tribute to the V he's used over the years , each priced over 4 grand if I remember ... Kirk is still exclusively with ESP
+Sebastian Kisiel jackson was really good for him.. the looks, the signature guitar by jackson.. i have a randy rhoads too and i must say best fuckin lookin guitar shape.
its really funny cuz when I saw them on the slipknot support tour, I heard zero bass lol. the guitars were a little scratchy and fizzy too...go figure. still, I love these vidd
lol damn. They put on a good show but their sound guy seems to be consistently bad...or in my case, no even there to turn on a riser mic for Matt when he went to go sing higher up on the stage..had to sing a whole damn verse without the mic being on -_-
I hate how everyone uses kempers in the studio now. I get it for a at home guy that wants a huge variety in tones, and I understand it for live shows and touring. But a big band like that really should use amps in the studio. Metal albums in general have lowered in sound quality since kempers have become mainstream.
oggel33t no i swear i didnt know what they were using before, but i knew it was not a tube amp just go listen to some older songs and ull notice the huge difference
That has got way more to do with the mixing and mastering of the tracks than it being a Kemper or not, since the sound saved in the Kemper is identical to the one they would get if they would have just pressed record, since the process is exactly the same. You just ad the Kemper to recall the sound from the recording session. If you understand what I mean? :)
yeah the mixing is bad aswell,i saw some new live shows they used the same profile as they did for the recording and it sounded bad check it live at kingston
+khalid filali probably a mixing issue and same with the live show just poorly setup not trying to defend kempers but yeah many artists are using them and i've heard some really good things and bad things personally i use a 6505 head sure you can get issues with them but if your a major band with backups i don't see what the problem is, kemper seems more suited to bands who can't afford to keep replacing heads and fixing gear all the time.

Do you know where he is now and does he still guitar tech for BFMV ?
The one thing I love about these videos is seeing the artists get excited about their gear. Sad to not see it in this one.
type in Blackline Matt tuck of bullet for my valentine
I love that black Les Paul look with EMGs.
Same here
Matt's Gibson custom looks like Matt Heafy's signature Epiphone custom, but it is a Gibson; weird. Looks like it has the same EMGs as well.
Epiphone is a cheaper Gibson basically
VikingWarrior HU don't be surprised if matt gets a signature epiphone.
its just a black custom
Somebody is either under the weather or has just done a bunch of coke.
Kind of amazed Jamie is using sterlings, I'm sure he could afford a 100% American made musicman
It’s a Music Man sterling, not a sterling by music man.

@@MusicByTay Ahh, had no idea that was the case as I'm a guitarist haha.

loved these rig series
I love Padge's Esps. Others like Matt's Jacksons, but in my opinion the Esps looks more cooler and more extreme at the same time.
man i have always wanted one of those ESP V series guitars with a Floyd Rose and the head on it is nice, but i would prefer it with a H series head. that is my dream guitar, hopefully one day they will make it.
You can have it, if you pay a kidney and a heart.
people bashing matt for switching to Gibson. padge was using gibson/epiphone before they made the poison album. look at the hand of blood video
This kids think that Jackson is the only guitar company for metal. Lmao😂😂😂.
Love how moose had the same tech as Nicko from iron maiden
Bullet for my valentine 🤘🏻🤘🏻
3:45 that guy took a long time to say very little about the amps they captured
Fo real
Anyone has an idea how much a Tech guy makes a year? Cause im really into Guitars and technology at the same time, so if its good money, i could see myself doing this in the future :)
+Hashed Prod. I guess it depends on how big the artists are, that you're touring with.
A quick Google says $33,000 pa when also doing guitar repairs etc. privately in your own time.
Wow, people are really moving away from heads and cabinets.
+kambion Its just so much easier to move a rack and guitars.
Yeah, rack+guitars+ear monitors simple, cheap and great
As long as the sound is good, I don't see a problem
I respect it whole heartedly! Heads and cabs will always be valid, but, there’s so much simplicity in keeping the amps at home and just profiling em’ all to take on the road. It’s doing wonders for live sound in my opinion

Waiting for more rigs!
What is the silver guitar case that Mike's Guitars are in? Looks very useful! Help!
Scott Dixon cases dude. Pretty expensive though
You are my favourite band
Really the whole video was filmed with fish lense?
this is Last stand summer tour with Slipknot, Lamb of God , BFMV and Motionless in ...
how the hell havent heard about this channel until now....
I thought they used Peavey amps?
+OTCRock4one Well in some case they still do. He said that they used a Peavy 6505 with a mesa oversize cab for the sound that is on the kemper.
Not on this album.
OTCRock4one i saw bullet use Marshall cabs before
Michael used a Mesa Dual Rec.
Matt can never stay with a guitar company haha, Mike has no problem with that haha i don't blame him though, gotta get something new every once and awhile.
where are his BC riches?
+greenalien598x In the garbage.
+Phillip Betts what a pity. The custom V they made him looked amazing
I think Matt should use his Jackson. Not Gibson or BC Rich. He should play guitar with Jackson
Kaan Cantürk ok.
Linus Dude what? Jackson has sexiest headstocks for metal
You must be eating tide pods if you think the headstock on a flying v is "more metal" than a randy rhodes the thing looks like a childproof jackson
Linus seleramu rendah, goblok asu
Agreed I can't buy that Jackson signature guitar because of BC ritch and Gibson :?
Was August Burns Red playing in the background?
Where's Kevin Shields?

Don't tell any of my metal homies that I was looking at anything Bullet related on UA-cam, but when did Kirk Hammett get put on team Gibson?
Gibson made a limited run of 200 flying Vs just as a tribute to the V he's used over the years , each priced over 4 grand if I remember ... Kirk is still exclusively with ESP
Chris Holian Thanks!
each one is 3 grand right now, sounds like a freaking beast, i remember spending a whole day at a guitar center playing it
@@chrisholian5778 he is endorsed by ESP, but still uses Jackson,Gibson, and a variety of other guitars
Jackson, esp, Gibson I wonder when Matt will move again.
+Sebastian Kisiel It was B.C. Rich not ESP
This is nothing compared to my quadruple stick shift I have to drive all day in New York
+Sebastian Kisiel jackson was really good for him.. the looks, the signature guitar by jackson.. i have a randy rhoads too and i must say best fuckin lookin guitar shape.
+Sebastian Kisiel BC Rich. Michael plays ESP.
Michael is ESP. Matt played Jackson, BC Rich and plays Gibson.
Moose's drum tech kinda looks like Nicko McBrain's drum tech...
PLS DO KILLSWITCH ENGAGE!
its really funny cuz when I saw them on the slipknot support tour, I heard zero bass lol. the guitars were a little scratchy and fizzy too...go figure. still, I love these vidd
Saw them in February and the highs on the guitars where all over the place
lol damn. They put on a good show but their sound guy seems to be consistently bad...or in my case, no even there to turn on a riser mic for Matt when he went to go sing higher up on the stage..had to sing a whole damn verse without the mic being on -_-
Is Padge’s tech secretly Trevor Slattery?

what picks do they use???
Now they use their signature picks
What does the c and d means on Matt guitar?
+Insanity Plague Like the song Tears Don't Fall is in Drop C, but Scream, Aim, Fire is in D standard
Would be great if you could do a rigged for Pissgrave
something juicy at 1:05
the sniffing is the worst
snot is just c h u n k y j u i c e
Was there ever a bass player that didn't have a very very very very very... very simple setup?
they should go back to tube amps,i wasnt a big fan of the rythme on this album, sounded digital a lot
+khalid filali You most certainly wouldn't have thought that if they never said that they used Kempers on the album.
oggel33t

Do veil of maya !!
damn shaky camera
oeff. that LP custom...
did anybody have a count for the amount of times the tech sniffed. gross.
Very simple
I hated how he always make that sound with his lips...
7:18.....slipknot? What
they were opening up for slipknot on this tour
I hate fish eye lenses for video
Was cool to hear this guy choke on his snot the whole time he talked. Get this guy a tissue.
