I think this is the most I’ve ever heard him speak.
I didn’t even know he could speak I thought he communicated via guitar
@@spider-man4796 hahaha. Me too
I was talking with him at Tour in 2019. But Jamie is more communicative i guess
He has made 2 tutorial dvds with rock house method.
LOL
Padge looks like he protects the Welsh realm from Viking Invaders as a full-time job, then goes on to write some badass riffs in his leisure time.
Combat Baard
🤣
Yah, I know right. He looks fuckin rad.
He looks more like an undercover Viking who lives in Wales, plotting an invasion :)

I love the fact Padge still uses the poison esp. Loyal to that guitar
I'd love to have that guitar. It's simply iconic. ❤
Iconic!
Esp made that signature a little bit before scream aim fire came out.
@@leo__mac I luckily own one of these mate! If you can track one down you'll be set man honestly. Nicest guitar I've played
You don’t retire a masterpiece
It's just nuts seeing these artists age. I'm still stuck in 2006 for some reason. Time is a bitch.
Right? Still remember a fresh-faced Padge. So weird to see him with a beard.
Ikr! I’m still 12 in my 31 year old body. He looks really good though.
BFMV was my jam when i was highschool. still love them.
tears falling for real.

It's so weird to go years without checking out BFMV only to realise that they are all well into their 40s now. Time flys.
I know! It's so weird. When the Live at Brixton DVD back in 2008 or so, Matt was 27. He's like 40 now.
And so are we!
What I love about Padge is that you can really hear his soloing skills improving album after album
Including the last one...?
Him and Bullet in general just has a knack for writing really catchy riffs and solos, even if they're fairly simple. His songwriting is pretty underrated as well, going by his songwriting credit on Venom
Except Gravity
@@PigglyWigglyDeluxe no solo 🤣
I underestimated Padge and Bfmv's guitar skills until Venom came out with songs like Skin etc.
People are so prejudiced against BFMV, for me it's one of the best metalcore bands that ever lived, I remember when I was a kid and I heard Hand Of Blood for the first time on an old CD by my sister, man that chorus and that solo made me stop listening to Black Metal XD, I remember how my friends and I wanted to form a band and be like them, best soundtrack of my teenage years!
Same here
I think Bullet is the "gateway" band for metalcore, they're heavy and have a lot of crazy riffs and screams, but they're also pretty easy to get into as well. They were my first metalcore band
Their last album isn't BFMV anymore, and the reason isn't in "band doesn't exist without James and Moose", no, it just doesn't sound like BMFV, it's default modern metalcore.
It's not bad, maybe it's ok, but its everything else, except BFMV, they lost their firm sound, they lost themselves.
@David Nissim yeah for me they brought me back into metal. Late 80s early 90s it was Maiden, metallica, sepultura, pantera, death etc. Then drifted off into Nu metal Era with Deftones, Mudvayne, Tool (even tho tool isn't nu metal). Kinda faded out of metal for a bit. Heard scream aim fire and then later picked up The Poison which is still my fav from them. Now I'm listening to almost every sub-genre of metal except maybe black. Bullet along with trivium brought it back for me.
Hand of Blood is a god damn masterpiece.
Matt give Padge time to shine on the new album
Wishful thinking, but I'm on your side, he has some incredible talent. Needs to be given some much needed attention.
Both of them get their skills on fire all the time.
Not this time bruh😁
@@jomargarbo0630 Totally, I just miss the technical side of BFMV 😳
There will be solos on the new album, Matt already confirmed it
Padge has been accurate asf in every live I've seen them in his solos.
the "Alone" solo that they shut down all the instruments and just Padge keeps the last part of the solo catch me every time I see. Very smooth and accurate.
@@daedrah2865 Love that part!!
"We used to go up the mountain and play guitar" is the most valleys thing ever haha. We do everything up the mountain.
honestly mate ahaha. he’s not from the valleys tho i’m sure, they’re from bridgend. south west of the valleys
Including sheep

🧐🏳️🌈?
Gutted this video was so short, could have watched him chatting for hours about his riffs. Quality guy, epic guitarist and massively underated.
Proof that seether is just nirvana in drop C lol
Haha nailed it
Proof that nirvana is just seether in E standard
@@davidboar6362 Shaun Morgan wouldnt even be mad about that either...
That's why i love them both
Chevelle is tuned up Korn. Lol
I doubt he'll see this but: Padge, on your south african tour at Oppikoppi you threw a pick at me. Wish I could say that I still had it. Thanks for the tunes!
swallow it and relax
Man I wish I caught that. The only real concert I've been to is Guns 'n Roses which was huge but I'd like to see more bands!
I caught a couple picks at one of their concerts. Good times!
Nice🤘
I have James Hetfield's Pick from a show he did in Cape Town I also saw Bullet In Cape Town they are so good live but nothing beats Metallica.
Absolutely underrated guitarist! Love bfmv's riffs and solos!
They're one of those bands that have such a recognizable sound. You hear a few seconds of a riff and you know it's Bullet.
I learned from tabs and my friend. He died last year. He was an amazing guitarist. I miss him everyday and wish I could play like he did.

@@svelle37 Their new song
WRI-ING ON THE WALL is fire 🔥
What about Hand of Blood!?!? The opening rift is one of my all time favorites! Honestly BFMV has probably more signature rifts than any other Mondern Hard rock band.
That guitar is has the coolest inlays i have ever seen, probably the best if im honest, sad that esp don't make them anymore
Micheal Paget deserves so much more attention! So underrated. I absolutely love Bfmv! Can't wait for the new album.
He should have his own YT channel.
Padge is the reason why I started playing electric guitar (earlier I used to play the bass for my local band). He is the reason for my motivation. I really look up to him and dude has a major influence on my life in other aspects. Dangerously underrated guitarist though. I can watch him play and hear him speak all day. Thank you Loudwire for this video.
Padge is an amazing guitarist. Doesnt play the hardest stuff in the world but he plays it clean, memorable and fun. I can hear every note of his solos in my head.
Hard to believe such an aggressive performer is one of the sweetest and courteous blokes imaginable 🤘
I heard Scream Aim Fire for the first time when my pal gave me his iPod because there was an odd number of us and I had to sit alone on the bus so I just listened to that on the way up to west highland way from our high school in East Dunbartonshire and my life was changed when I heard That honestly.
"Let's Goooooooooooooooooooo" I got my hands on one of his esp and loved it gotta say! He still going with his own og signature ESP this day, thats dope!
Very jealous, missed out on one last year but hopefully add one to the collection some day.
In this day and age? Where the holy hell did you get one?
It’s so hard to find one, how’d you do it?
@@onedeu i think you have to look world wide, 2 or 3 Years ago, there had been 2 of them in a Musik Shop in Hamburg( Just Music) and Thomann had them too ( they do ship world wide)
No offence, but damn this bearded look is the first time I think Padge is looking as badass as his playing is... Super Underrated... One of the best guitarists alive I believe... And yay Padge please keep up the look I love it...
How is this offensive???
@@hellion6737 lmao
Cuz I'm implying that he didn't look as badass before... That's all
@@amitabhkunchey9342 Last time i saw him was so many years ago, back when they still looked like edgy goth teen
Seeing him in that video after so many years felt like a huge slap in the face
One of the best guitarists alive? ????????? huh?
Dude i learned the exact same way. Just playing guitar with buddies. Only difference is I was learning BFMV and lamb of god riffs when I first started learning metal. This is awesone
same here but Bullet and Slipknot. they’ll always be the best
thats every guitarists in generations. just kids covering their favorite bands then next thing they are creating new music for the next generation to cover.
@@kakashihatake1869 if I ever made a song people wanted to cover id be happy
@@DJ-pp4mt never too late to create one or start a band bro
Mike, i always thought and think you are a very good Guitarist. Saw you with bfmv on a Concert in Hamburg. Listen to you guys since "The Poison". Things changed but you and the Band are still in my heart.
Was lucky enough to chat with him and the rest of the boys during the gravity cycle. One of the most down to earth guys I have ever had the fortune to meet. They say don’t meet your hero’s but meeting these guys was awesome
This dude is super genuine. Met him in the parking lot of a Bullet/Asking Alexandria show in Fort Wayne
I love his accent when saying bullet for my valentine
KNIVES is such a great riff! So simple yet effective! Great stuff!
THIS GUY.......IDOL! The same goes for his band. Maybe I'm just speaking for myself but BFMV was and continues to be one of my greatest teachers. The Poison. Her Voice Resides was one of the first full songs I ever learned and Suffocating Under Words Of Sorrow the first solo. At the very least, this man deserves a thank you for playing the unknowing role of paving the way for everyone who was in the exact same boat as him just 10-15 years later. You had Polly, I had Room 409. 🤣 Thank you Michael Paget and thank you Loudwire for making this video.
This is the man who inspire me to learn guitar and take music as my profession in 2010...
My favorite #1 guitarist!
To be self taught he's got the best right hand I've ever seen in a self taught player
i’m glad he still hasn’t lost his accent. lot of love for you lot 🏴🏴
Tears Don't Fall made me fall in love with Metal. Thanks Paget.
His sig is awesome. Super hard to find one but the fretboard art is just 🤌
I've had the pleasure to meet him on a few occasions and he's such a down to earth guy ❤️
Wow, you're so lucky
Padge! Been wanting this forever!
i love this format. thanks so much for making it happen with so many great artists❤️
This is crazy as fuck! He's litterly has the same guitar journey of starting to play guitar that I've had. Up until the part where he started with BFMV. No wonder why I always liked Michael Paget as a guitarist.
I kinda feel like he’s capping when he said his favorite riff off the new album was the chorus riff from Knives, he doesn’t wanna spoil the rest of the album lol
Yeah I was like woah, we could hear something else off the new album... Oh... Yeah.... Course it was going to be knives, can't release new stuff yet 😂
100%
@@Tomlawrence93 for real lol, I’m kinda glad though, I wanna hear the rest of it when it’s fresh and new 🤘
Hopefully that, but worryingly could mean the album just doesn't have any good riffs 🤣
@@cagedhercules5649 favorite riff doesn’t mean best tho
How cool is this. Seeing someone that's risen to stardom being influenced by the very same riffs that captured me at 15. Inspires me ALL OVER AGAIN
My favorite Welsh band much love from the U.S.🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I like this guy, he seems so down to earth.
10.03.2014 we, about 20 people, who didn't know each other, waited for BFMV at the Novosibirsk airport for 9 hours. Before it Matt got sick and the show in Ekaterinburg was cancelled.
When the plane arrived we met 'em inside the airport. The band wasn't ready for that)
Padge was the only one who came straight to us and started to talk, give autographs, make photos. He was serious, but looked like he's having fun)
Then the other guys came to us too.
Gifted Matt an album with the pics of the city, signed by all of us, was very nervous while talking to him)
At the show was in a front row, Padge recognized me, waved a hand))
Ah, sweet days)
Have a few vids, recorded at this show, on channel) Kinda shitty, but fun)
Michael smiled a lot and was very affable)
Also really liked his playing and stage presence. Pro is pro)
love me some michael padge
Loved this video! Thanks! Padge is the man
Was I the only one who noticed The Trooper riff played with a B flat? 😁
I noticed that too... It's originally B note, not Bb 😅😂😝
But still sounds good un C standard tuning 😁
Yo bullet I really enjoy this kind of content, nice insight into the writing process that I’ve always been curious about!
I missed you so much Padge! I can't wait for the new album🤘🏻🔥
Underrated guitarist. Glad to see him on here🤘🏼
Met Padge a few times. Really nice bloke.
Damn, finally, been waiting for this! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
As an aspiring bfmv fan who has been learning guitar for just over a year now. I really appreciate this video, im just now coming into my own these past few months with barr chords, humbling to hear him talk about his learning experience!
I love this man,Padget it's inspiration for guitarist.
Her Voice Reside's solo is my favorite
Amazing guitarist. Always been a fan of his guitar work
MY favourite guitarist, inspired me to play consistently, learned quite a few techniques thanks to Padge
So fluid such great vibrato and amazing feel !
Such a great guy from what I've seen and heard of him over the years. Funny how he can pin down exactly which songs and riffs fascinated him and made him pick up the guitar. I tell you now, Pagde, The Poison with its riffs was what inspired me to learn heavier tunes and be in bands. Thanks for that, mate!
The day I saw this man live was one of the best of my whole life.
Great video can’t wait for the new bullet album!
Yes, I love this guy! Always has been one of my favorite players. Seems like a very nice guy, too!
I love Padge man....Thank you Loudwire for this
Saw them live last night friggin awesome !!!
Tbh, I never really thought of this guy, other then the lead singer and guitarist of BFMV. This guy seems so nice and humble and I would love to have pint with him someday! Thanks for introducing me to him Loudwire! 😊🤘
tuck and paget have made me want to play guitar and sing i wish to be like them some day
we need more video of him and matt tuck sharing their fav riff from their album or playthough of classic and new songs
I've been waiting for this!!!!!
Padge is my Favorite guitarist of all time! Dude is seriously underrated....
It's been 2 days since I started learning tears don't falls' riff and here he gave me more excitement to learn as he says he didn't had a guitar teacher too
Plus I prefer these riffs more than his studio record riffs! But I absolutely love his album version riffs though
Man I love him soo much, bfmv's are so good
Great video!!!!! We want to see Matt too !!!!! \m/ Padge you're amazing man
The solo in Breaking point is one of my highest musical achievements. I followed Paget's video tutorial, best teacher ever! Check his video in youtube.
6:05 ‘’favorite Bullet of the bands riffs’’
Literally how I ended up with a Jackson RR3 when I was 14 was beint a bullet fan....god hard to believe the years past...
Those the poison inlays are awesome as fuck
When I compare the riffs of their earlier years with the newer ones, it`s like there are two complete different guitarists
One thing I absolutely loved and adored padge for is using the same guitar, the original Hand of Blood, the gun and smoke fret board
Love you padge, always an inspiration
I like this cool guitarist since I know him & his band since I was a university student at 2006 to 2010
I love this man!
I remember meeting padge at rock city in notts when I was 15 and he gave this toy car 🤣
A humble dude, i love him. He was such an inspiration for me in my teenage years.
Knives is super simple but holy fuck does that shit slam coming out of a set of speakers. Best Bullet have sounded in a long time, very much looking forward to this new album!
Love u Padgett,,,,so much memories with bfmv ❤️❤️
DAmn i love Bullet riff soo much
Bfmw have some of the best riffs and tastiest solos
The fact that he played polly is amazing. Hardly ever hear anyone mention polly.
I am so getting B4MV's new album! Michael's my favorite guitarist of all time and if anything this man's a god damn genius when it comes to playing good songs for his fans! Keep up the good work Michael!
This is so goooooood!!!! Epic 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Love him, amazing guy.

First song i ever learnt all the way through, Including the solo, was 4 Words To Choke Upon 🤘
