I'm happy to see Lion Brand include loom knitting in this campaign. Just want to let everyone know that many, many different styles can be made with that loom by adding a rib stitch brim, cables or even i-cords.
New to loom knitting. I keep getting a leftover loop after finishing the first row when returning to the first peg to wrap again. Am I making it too loose? Is that how I get it? I have seen many videos on loom knitting and never see a leftover loop after pulling the yarn over the pegs.
Brilliant campaign! Let's all take a HUGE stand against bullying! Teach your children and grandchildren to "Love one another"--do whatever it takes to care about others. Making a blue hat here as I watch this video. ♥
Thank you for the video! My young girls were able to make beautiful hats in just a couple of days. A manageable craft for kids to do on their own after getting them started. I'm not a knitter, and this was enjoyable craft to guide and help when needed.
@OhReally - I found a youtube video that shows how to make a brim for these type hat. Here's the link: ua-cam.com/video/rmjtVfSfWOU/v-deo.html I wanted a 2 inch brim which means you will loom knit 4 more inches and then double it over before starting the rest of the hat BUT if you use the kit, you might not have enough yarn to do 2 hats this way (I'm using my own stash of yarn & looms). I like it much better, however, I would use the rest of the hat not hate video to finish the hat as, at least on my head, Glamma's hat is too long. Hope this helps.
great idea. In Canada it's anti bully day soon, but we have actual anti bully shirts, they are pink, two boys wore pink to school and were bullied for it. The following day all the boys wore pink and it caught on.
She says measure 45 inches of your head but it doesn’t really put any of the numbers on the bottom I’m new to this so trying to see how big the hat supposed to be in measuring it out when it comes to use finishing the hat I’m confused
If anyone knows the answer to how to put my loom peg back in, I will be so grateful! I'm fighting with it and don't want to break it. I thought doing something towards helping those who are bullied was a wonderful and thoughtful thing to do too! Thank you so much!!
@Crochet_Crazy - You can go to any hobby store or Walmart and get a 36 peg loom (mine came in a set of 3) and your own blue yarn. Follow the directions in this video and you're all set. The yarn I'm using is Red Heart Super Saver chunky (it's a 5 weight yarn.)
I understand most of what she saying in the video until she says the hat has to be 8.5 inches it doesn’t show on the bottom of the ruler how big it has to be and I don’t know if I’m measuring it out right

You can do cables?? I'm new to loom knit. Made a ribbed coffee cozy.

Never mind, I found them. www.lionbrand.com/products/hatnothate-faux-leather-tag

the only thing I dont like is how the brim looks... like it's not refined.. it looks saggy where it's folded over... is there anyway to fix that?

Got a feeling I’m wrapping it wrong

Who the heck would put a tassel on the top of a hat that's just strange
@Joshua Hughes - Lots of people like tassels and pompoms on hats. I'm not particularly fond of it for my head though.
They look cute
