    I bought an expensive pattern with this stitch in it and I couldn’t work it out. I couldn’t believe you had a tutorial on it…thank you so much Sarah Jane, I’m now happily working at it🎉 Best crochet teacher ever😇

    It took me a few tries before I learned to correctly recognized the "next stitch," but once I did, the pattern was easy to follow. Thanks for the clarity and precision. I can't wait to use this stitch in a project.

    I was working another project that included this stitch. I was going mad just couldn’t get it. Thank you for this video. It is really easy if you keep your bearings. You progressed with each step slowly and clearly that it just clicked. Thanks so much.

    Great, I’m learning ...could you please tell me how you would use this. Would it be ok for a band in a jumper for example. Would it keep its shape? And does it use a lot of wool?...sorry for all the questions...great video❤🎉😊

    • @bellacococrochet
      @bellacococrochet  9 місяців тому

      Thank you, I’m glad you like it 😊 Yes you could definitely use this in a jumper. I would think it would keep its shape well but it does use quite a bit of yarn due to the post stitches.

    This's SO pretty but there's no way on earth I wouldn't goooof it up so much. I thought maybe if I had the written pattern I could try to not goof it up; or using a stitch marker...I just think nope it's 1 that's not for me and my brain lol. And I'm an experienced crocheter & knitter. Crocheted since junior high; and knitted for a good 30+ years

    I love this stitch and would love to make a throw 40x40". I have made several throws and bibs, but follow different videos that tell how many chains and yarn to use. Are you able to help me figure out how many chains and yarn I would need for this stitch for 40x40 throw? Thank you.

    • @bellacococrochet
      @bellacococrochet  2 роки тому

      I would work a small sample swatch that you can then measure and use as a guide; for example, if you swatch using thirty chains and that measures ten inches, you would just need to multiply that amount by four to get your forty inches 😊

    Are you always supposed to yarn over twice with FPDC? Or only here because of 2 skipped stitches?

    • @bellacococrochet
      @bellacococrochet  Рік тому

      The stitch in this pattern is a front post double treble (in US terms this is a front post treble). We use a longer stitch due to the skipped stitches 😊

    And ideas on how I manages to do a chain multiple of 4 yet ended up with and uneven amount of post stitches 🤔 😢

    • @bellacococrochet
      @bellacococrochet  Рік тому

      The written instructions for this are over on my blog here: blog.bellacococrochet.com/celtic-weave/ You might find it helpful to take a look to make sure you're following the pattern correctly. Remember that each row should begin and end with a treble, and the turning chain doesn't count as a stitch so you should make your first treble into the space directly underneath 😊

    Do you think you can do this stitch with the loop yarn?

    • @rosesmile1362
      @rosesmile1362 2 роки тому +1

      Most probably not

    • @bellacococrochet
      @bellacococrochet  2 роки тому

      In theory you should be able to work any stitch with any yarn, so the best way to find out is to try 😊 You may find that loop yarn obscures the appearance of the Celtic weave, however.

  • @denadavies9762

    Can you do this with two colours?

    • @bellacococrochet
      @bellacococrochet  Рік тому

      Yes, you can do this with two colours; just pull through the new colour when making the last part of the stitch at the point you want the new colour to start 😊

    Is there a way to increase and decrease this pattern?

    • @bellacococrochet
      @bellacococrochet  8 місяців тому

      You can increase and decrease in the usual way by working two stitches into one, and working two stitches together; however it would be quite a tricky one to do it keeping in pattern with it being quite a complex stitch 😊

    Bella Coco I am a major fan of your video tutorials. My UA-cam connects with ads, which I deal with by skipping when I can. A concealed gun strap ad just showed up. This is very disconcerting for my sensibilities and politics. Being in the US we have a major gun problem. The 2nd Amendment of our Constitution supports gun ownership This amendment was placed in the constitution to allow militias to be formed in case King G IV and his decedents, as they did in 1812, decided to come back to our shores. Unfortunately, there are states and people that are gun crazy. They have been enacting concealed gun carry laws. Mass school shootings and individual gun murders are committed so frequently here our country and a 50% of government officials either don't pay attention or they "Pray" for solace for the families that have been devasted by this mindless violence. As a UA-camr, my suggestion is to petition UA-cam to provide you with an option to filter ads. UA-cam does not allow you, at this point, to control the ads. Having 1.3 million subscribers you should have some clout. Frankly, I'M READY TO UNSUBSCRIBE! I'm giving it some thought. This is very unfortunate. Dr. Philip J. Parisi

    • @pennywood5653
      @pennywood5653 Рік тому +25

      This has absolutely nothing to do with Bella Coco and everything to do with your browsing history and the algorithm picking out ads it thinks you're interested in. Either get an ad blocker, pay for ad free UA-cam or stop going on about the 2nd amendment and guns. Maybe learn how ads work too.
