I've been following Gus since GFM nice to see he's doing his own thing. FYI .999 isn't Sterling Silver it's pure Silver. Also the rhodium plating gives it more of a white gold finish. Real nice chain I will be reaching out to Gus about a 12mm myself hope the turn around is quicker than it was at GFM. But anyways both of the companies make hellava Cubans you can't go wrong with either or... Salute Gus...

Nice review. One criticism, that palladium or rhodium electroplate give is the look of white gold or stainless steel imo, virtually indiscernible. I ordering one today.

This is not exactly relevant to your current video, but I am really loving the Anita Ko safety pin earrings you are wearing. I have searched for some pictures online since I don't have access to any stores nearby that carry the brand. I wonder how do you put them on? Since there doesn't seem to have any moving parts based on photos on the official website.
Hi, it moves the same way a standard safety pin does, it’s just slightly thicker to keep the metal from being too dainty and snapping from constant opening and closing. It’s a very sturdy earring tho, I never take mine out and love them. Hope this helps 🤘🏾🧷✨

Very nice chain, .999 silver is pure in the same way .999 gold is pure with no additional alloys in the mix. Rhodium is used as a plating only and is really expensive currently $4600 a Troy ounce which is more than platinum and palladium and other "Noble" metals. Rhodium is not the color of white gold it's actually darker and very reflective but extremely hard and strong as in density and tensile strength. I believe that this .999 and Rhodium design will be a thing,I recently purchased a 14K white gold 300+ gr infinity Miami Cuban without the Rhodium plating to see if it patinas nicely like my platinum 950 chain, it's a unique and different character.

But most of people cannot distinguish between stainless steel vs. white gold jewelry. Most will distinguish uncoated silver vs. stainless steel/white gold because the silver has much more lighter color. That kinda turns me off buying white gold chains.
@@dukeyin1111 you can add platinum to that list. Stainless steel looks almost identical platinum. It’s really all about preference at the end of the day.
thats the problem with white gold chains 99 percent of people are gonna asume its silver or stainless no one is gonna known its white gold unless you test it infront of them but then again same thing goes for yellow gold when your rocking big cubans most people are gonna think its plated lol this is why i dont like spending big buck on jewlery you get the real thing people still gonna think its fake

Shine more, but it makes silver look much darker. It will look like white gold, platinum, stainless steel color (most people can't distinguish with naked eyes). I would go with pure silver... platings wear off over time anyways and silver is much more brighter.

For example, google says replating rhodium on a ring, a much smaller jewelry, would cost somewhere $60-$150. Doing that on a silver chain is not so economical unless one has some sentimental values on the chain.
