That cuban link is so nice. Size is perfect. Miami makes the best Cuban links. Italian cuban links aren't that bad, but the links are loose. They have to have the perfect ratio of tightness. Like the GusVills necklace it's nice.
It all depends where you get it from I have an Italian made Cuban that looks like it was handmade in Miami you would never know to look at it that it’s Italian, super tight links excellent finish work on it and way cheaper than a lot of these other guys are charging.

Thanks. Let first address the hang straight hang straight is myth. Most chains don't necessarily hang straight they have to have some twist. This way, it lays flat around the neck. If not, it will definitely kink up depending on how tight the links are. Now, some chains do hang straighter than others. Agree with you. Gus has come a long way to bring out his modern but yet classic style. The balance you're talking about is genius. I'm from my and have seen hundreds of Cuban links. This was the second Cuban link I ever purchased. I bought a gold one in 1999. I since sold it, which was a huge regret that I live with till this day. When I started searching for my next purchased I stumbled across gusvillajewelry.com, and I looked nowhere else. I wanted a nice gold piece, but the price of gold was astounding higher. To be honest, I never knew that silver cuban links were happening. Miami people only wear gold Cubans. I pulled the trigger and bought a 10mm and don't regret it at all. I have a friend who has about 3 cuban link chains. I showed him my chain, and he almost choked on the water he was drinking 🤣😂

@@DirtyCruze. Go to store and wipe with wrights silver cream. Get the round one that comes with like a magic eraser inside. Wipe with that, that's silver polish. There is a difference between removing tarnish and re-polishing, Wrights is best of both worlds.

The links are perfectly tight. Flat but hefty. I have one link that is a little tight towards the lock,but it is nothing to cry about. Seriously, I'm happy about my purchase.

It's cool that you're considering one. I really didn't get a chance to. I was parked at a meter, so it was in and out after i tried it on. I've owned both gold and silver Cuban links. The gold Cuban cost me 1,100 with a pedant. So you could imagine what it's worth today. I figured I get one made in silver. I stopped wearing gold because of the value. I rather keep gold in a safe. Silver has come a long way, and I wanted to add some more silver to my stack,but I was itching to buy another Cuban, so I decided to get on in silver. I normally would not wear a silver necklace, especially being from Miami, where the gold cubans are superior.I had to make a hard decision.I wouldn't wear any other style of necklace in silver,but when it comes to cuban links id take that chance.The price of silver is at the best time to buy, if you into stacking. I see it as an investment opportunity as well. I pull the trigger, and I'm happy with my purchase. Some people buy gold over silver, but I'm that guy. I love silver, so I bought some in my favorite style necklace. All my friends wear gold Cuban and they were surprised how nice it looked. Trust me, I understand how you feel when you say the more look at them you want one. I tell everyone who asks why silver is? I say, why not?

To add Rhodium I was told it was an extra $295.00 I should just go plain silver right? when you use baking soda chain will be clean again right its not like the chain will stay discolored right?
Truthfully, i never saw pure a silver chain up against the Rhodium chain to compare the two. A silver chain just needs a little maintenance every often, but it's as simple as washing and a little scrubbing with a toothbrush in hot water. The baking soda method is the best way. Tarnish happens with all silver and cleaning it is very easy. I cleaned my chain last night, and it looks as good as the first day I brought it home. A thin layer of rhodium for extra strength and luster. Jewelry plated in rhodium is shinier and more durable than other metals. Rhodium plating does not scratch, dent, or corrode and retains its luster.

Are you happy with the length of both chains? Im torn between getting my 10mm in 24" or 22" I also want to add a 6 or 7mm with it so its a toss up how long I want the 10mm
I love the length. I could have gone a size down. 22-inche is the longest I would wear because I have a skinny neck. 20-inch is the perfect lenth for me. It depends on your neck size. Get a piece of rope, measure, and put it around your neck. This will help you with your decision.
You can wear a 24" and not have to undo the clasp (the only thing that'll wear out on the chain).

CubaKnows said that those wipe cloths actually dull the shine of the chain. I think the cloth is stripping the metal and that's not actual dirt lol
I used it once. The video is recorded in 8k. The scratches aren't visible to the naked eye. 8k gets extremely close. In person, it looks like a mirror. To get the best shine, use bakesoda and boiling water or have the jeweler hit it up for you. Thanks for watching.

Cubaknows is insane. You can strip the rhodium and if you polish too much you can actually marr the silver. But they make it shine like crszy as you saw in the video and most also put an anti tarnish costing. Rhodium doesn't make it shine it just makes it tarnish resistant but that doesn't last forever anyways. And no waynhou taking off too much silver off those big chains. A little intricate detailed piece you should be careful with.
@DK for sure it's tarnish. I prefer to go at it with baking so offf da and hot water. I brush it to get the dirt and grime off.

How long from order placement to delivery?
I live in Miami, so it didn't take long. I ordered it, and it was in 2 days. Because they already had the size. Sometimes people dont know what size they want so . The jeweler will tell them what size they have on hand. For you, depending on the availability in-house, I'd say it would be shipped asap. For example, if you ordered a 12mm 18' and have it in stock, you'll get it within a week. If they don't have the size you want. They'll make it. Which doesn't take too long, but it depends on what you want and orders in front of you.

Why isn't his jewelry sterling silver stamped
It was indicated in the packaging. It's a custom piece. Some jewelers stamp their work, and others don't. Just because it's not mark doesn't mean it isn't, but I do understand why you asked. If you ever get a costume, you can ask the jewelry if he can stamp it. Polishing the silver item is a very good indicator of its authenticity.

He just did a video on ig he said he didn't stamp because it varies and isn't required by law like with gold, but never less than 950. He said his bigger pieces are 999 but the smaller pieces are made from the scrap from making bigger pieces. If you want a stamp you can request he laser test and tells you the purity.

Sorry, bro. I don't have a gold plated chain. If I did, I probably would soak it dish soap and warm water. Use a soft cleaning brush . Pat it dry with a microfiber towel.
They'll do handmade silver locks for an extra $80
Soak it in a bowl with really hot microwave water put in a tablespoon of dawn Platinum dish washing liquid soak for 10 minutes or more and take it out wash with a dish sponge or soft cloth and rinse with very warm water and dry with paper towels or better with a microfiber cloth. If it's really tarnish use aluminum foil shiny side up lined up in a bowl add a table spoon of salt and a table spoon of baking soda add really hot water enough to cover your silver items stir up the mixture place silver in it for one to 5 minutes and tarnish will be gone, and dry off. It it comes out looking like grey dull silver metal then next go to the dawn treatment as i mentioned above it will bring the shine back tremendously. And remember whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved...thats in the book of Romans in the Holy Bible chapter 10 verse 13. And Jesus Christ is Lord of All Amen.
